Morning everyone. Feeling good this morning after totting up my syns since Thursday (WI day - but I didn't this week, IYKWIM) and found that although I haven't been good over the weekend with the wine syns my total overall is still under - 55.5/60 syns for the 4 days.

Have had to change my planned evening meal today as I forgot to get the diced beef out of the freezer so we are having LO coq au vin from yesterday instead of freezing it. So today's RED plan is:

B - bacon and mushroom omlette
    L - cheese on toast (HEA1 & HEB1)
D - LO coq au vin, boiled new pots (HEB2), green beans

HEA2 will be milk in tea throughout the day

Syns - 3 for wine in coq au vin. Not sure what else yet
Snacks will be fruit as usual - I've got bananas, melon & grapes left.

  • Hi Everyone, Happy Monday! (only happy for me because it's my day off this week!)

Sorry to hear about your Mum TIE and about your ankle Mrs Ryan, and sorry to hear about those struggling (is it the colder weather?)
I have struggled to resist binges this weekend too, bought my hubbie a box of heros knowing that I would 'help' him with them and then ate most of them  I knew I would so WHY did I do it?
Anyway made a new start today with grapes, melon and a muller light, although I added some mornflake granola to the muller light and not sure if this is a HEx B? - If anyone knows please tell me, it was very tasty so worth it if it is syned.
it will be left over chilli for lunch and then spag bol for tea (I have bought a tonne of low fat mince yesterday)
HEX A will be milk for cuppa teas and will see if the granola will be my HEx B.
Might have a bag of jelly tots later but will check the syns of those too.
Hope everyone has a good week, and that things improve for those having a difficult time - big hugs :grouphug:

    Morning everyone,

Wise move frogga - you don't want to 'lose it' on your last week by having a disappointing WI - stick with it and the last week of the challenge could be a blinder :j
Sorry to hear about the problems with your Mum TIE - hope you get things moving for her this week.

Gien - hope your tummy settles down soon - hope it didn't spoil your holiday.

I was +1lb this week - which is OK I suppose as I am maintaining and had gone below my target last week - I just wish I didn't feel so guilty about having put on weight :o. Thanks for keeping track of it all Shala :T

I'm sticking to it (more of less) & weight is (more or less) static. Better than a gain I guess.

Craft fair on Sat so expecting a blip. Had a couple of stressy days at week. But meh, always going to get them. Oh! tmrw to blip too! out for dinner with bro who has come up to look after parents' cats while they are on hols :)

Morning all :) well I braved the rain this morning and snuck out to Boots to weigh myself- according to their scales I've lost 2lbs :j I've cracked the 16st Mark :j I've been struggling to eat any syns at all because Mum makes the most amazing syn-free and very low syn recipes so I think yesterday's 10 syns was the most I had. In my experience so far Boots scales are always a little out so I may have had a tidy little loss :)) I'm weighing in tomorrow at Mum's group which will feel very strange! Ankle is better today. It was very sore yesterday but a day of complete rest and elevation seems to have helped.
Have a good day everyone xx

    Hello:wave:

Having been spurred on by a work colleague, watching what she eats and then looking at the SW website, I have started this today! Am signing up at my first meeting on wednesday.

Chose a breakfast off the 7 day free meal plan, and made the roasted courgette quiche for my lunch. Made the cumin falafals for a snack and have some fruit and muller light for afters. SWrecipe for spag bol for my tea except using home made passata due to tomato glut.

now to catch up with the whole thread and gets some inspiration :)

Welcome lindens to our lovely thread - you sound like you have got off to a good start using the recipes on the website but feel free to ask any questions that you may have until to go to your meeting on Wednesday - good luck :)

    Exactly what the said!!:D:A

Glad your ankle's feeling better MrsR. It'll be interesting to see how your mum's group compares with your own. Do share with us what she's feeding you. It'll be nice to drool over low syn meals!

shelly, I know exactly what you mean about buying stuff and then eating it when you shouldn't. I do that with crisps. An upshot of this challenge has been I've made myself keep away from the crisp aisle in Sainsbury's and have avoided buying in any for Christmas which I would normally do. DH did ask once why there weren't any but he seems to be coping. I know it's hard if you have a family but the best policy really is not to buy junk then you can't eat it.;)

:wave:lindens, using the 7 day plan is a great way to get started. Good Luck!

    EE day again:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk
    L: banana
D:baked cod, new potatoes, green beans, mushrooms and tomatoes
Snack: early supper today so will have an apple chopped up with a few small cubes of cheese, saved from HEA, later. I need to buy some cottage cheese then I could have what I liked. P.S. Just checked and all Aldi cottage cheese is free including flavoured and not just low fat.:)
