SW hasn't been great what with working, walking dog and visiting mum, it's just been a case of grab something before bed most nights. The bread monster held me down and force fed me 5 slices of cheese on toast the other night (was rough the next day :-() and again this afternoon (only 4 slices this time). Hubby says Chinese after this evenings visit, would be an insult not to eat it if he's bought it :-(.
So mumsy still in and was looked after lovely on AMU but since being moved to ward on Tuesday has been neglected big time. Sheets not changed, laying in blood stained bedding for 2 days. Not allowed a shower either. Not being allowed out of bed & not told why as on AMU she pottered around her room and to loo on her own. Won't even let her sit in chair. We've Been waiting to speak to Dr since Wednesday, no sign although mum saw him yesterday when he announced " you've had you scan & we're waiting for results.... Erm NO she hadn't, been waiting for that for 2 days. Finally had scan last night. So she's battered and bruised from all the blood tests and still none the wiser with what's wrong with her. So my sister and I are :mad::mad:.
Now going back to see her. Laters all :A
Sorry for the moaning essay
TIE, really sorry to hear your Mum is having such awful treatment.I've been there with my own Mum and my MIL, and when I look back I am so annoyed with myself for being such a wimp with the staff; I don't know why, I am usually quite assertive but medical staff just make me feel like a 6 year old moron. Hope having your sis beside you will help you stand up for your Mum.0 -
On a lighter note (or heavier??) I have just discovered the very bizarre but wonderful Heston Blumenthal mince pies from Waitrose. Oh, help. They are really expensive so that should curb my desires a bit.0

Confession Time ~
Last night, at about 9pm I started on the bowl of toffees. Then I had 6 biscuits, a mini Mars Bar, a Mini Milky Bar. I think there might have been something else but I cant remember?
Not sure why? Might have just needed to, it wasn't that yummy? The toffees were, but the other stuff was unnecessary. So today will be interesting.
I had already thought about starving myself today to make up for it but that is SO NOT the way to go. SO, I shall just TRY to eat what I normally would have. And if in the morning I haven't lost, or have gained, then nevermind. It was a blip. There is still one more week of the Challenge to really go for it. SO I'm still in..

Oh dear frogga! That's the first time you've strayed since starting the challenge which is good compared to the past. Well, that was yesterday and today is a new day. I agree that starving is unlikely to help. You might get away with it tomorrow but it will catch up over the week unless you try to drag those syns back. Just try to get back on plan first and see how you go. You're well ahead in the losses you anticipated so you'll still have a good 6 week loss.
EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk, fried egg
L: LO savoury rice, appleroast beef, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, cabbage, carrots, green beans
Syns: squirt of sauce, horseradish, gravy and last of the weekend wine.:)0 -
Having an EE day today:
B - toasted bacon and mushroom sandwich (HEB)
L - not sure but probably salad of some sort
D - coq au vin (3 syns) - currently cooking in the SC
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
Snacks - fruit
Syns - wine in dinner 3; brown sauce 1; butter 2

Morning all
Frogga today's a new day and I like the attitude to last nightnow send that bloody toad on his way to a ww thread or somewhere
It's life blips happenbet what you ate would probably be covered by your syns this week anyway so no biggie
Last night I may have had a Chinese that I had syn allowance set aside for in advance the chips where not planned but probably covered by my syns for the week so no biggiealthough I didn't even enjoy it
Today's ee plan
Breakfast- grapes nas squash
Lunch - not a clue something with salad
Dinner - roast chicken, potatoes (not sw but ill syn them - sometimes it has to be a proper roastie and today's that day) broccoli cauliflower carrot n turnip and sprouts!!! Bit of gravy
Hexa- milk for a hot milk coffee later
Hexb - bread at lunch time or ryvitas as a snack
Syns - sugar in coffee, fat roasties, gravy.
I know people might pull a face but for me to stick at food optimising and sw I need to allow myself meals I really enjoy but keep within the sw syns. If I had forbidden food I'd just crumble n cave
Not expecting a loss tomorrow - been ill, weekend I've used syns, and star week but we shall see
Pudding challenge - I am a big forward planner I only signed up to sw after reading here and a lot of syn value searches etc i have to know in advance that I can do something? So I was pleasantly surprised when I realised I can get for Xmas a small cadburys selection box and mars have a sw friendly miniatures selection box on the tesco website so I won't have to forfeit a selection box
Ill probably end up eating a lot of jacket spuds over Xmas - new year while everyone else has party food for dinner but I'm not a big lover of it and I'd rather have that n a slice of garlic bread

Afternoon all
sorry I've been AWOL for a few days, internet connection at mum's is lousy! The WiFi only works in the front room and there's no 3G connection at all  I'm definitely heading for a gain this week I think- I haven't managed to get on the bike yet and I'm even struggling to go for a walk because I er *whispers* overindulged on wine syns on Friday night and had a little accident- I fell over and hurt my ankle so I'm mainly sitting on Mum's reclining sofa with my foot up and a big bandage on it feeling sorry for myself! However I've had some lovely food and my SW birthday carrot cake was yummy.
For breakfast today I had bacon, tomatoes, beans, fried potatoes and scrambled egg with toast as my HEXB and a cup of coffee.
Yesterday I had a big chicken salad for lunch, then a bowl of pease pudding soup in the afternoon before my lovely best friend cooked me a birthday meal of chicken breasts, carrot, peppers, spring onions, baked potato and rice with some of my carrot cake for pudding.
I've also had SW quiche and SW cheese scones, and Mum is making some SW scotch eggs as I speak!
TiE, sorry to hear about your mum. I would echo the advice about PALS- they're excellent at getting things done.
Hope you're all ok xx*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
