I'm having a 'thin' day today. This always happens when I'm pottering round the house in my old size 14 jeans.;)

    EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: bubble&squeak (potato and peas but mostly carrot, onion, green&red cabbage)
D: my version of chicken jumbalaya (so chicken, rice with peppers, onions, carrots, courgettes, mushrooms, tomatoes and peas. This is DH's favourite and he likes me to slice a couple of frankfurters into it.

Syns: squirt of syrup, squirt of sauce, maybe a couple of bits of sausage and weekend wine.:)

Evening all, am still here (just) have been reading though.
SW hasn't been great what with working, walking dog and visiting mum, it's just been a case of grab something before bed most nights. The bread monster held me down and force fed me 5 slices of cheese on toast the other night (was rough the next day :-() and again this afternoon (only 4 slices this time). Hubby says Chinese after this evenings visit, would be an insult not to eat it if he's bought it :-(.
So mumsy still in and was looked after lovely on AMU but since being moved to ward on Tuesday has been neglected big time. Sheets not changed, laying in blood stained bedding for 2 days. Not allowed a shower either. Not being allowed out of bed & not told why as on AMU she pottered around her room and to loo on her own. Won't even let her sit in chair. We've Been waiting to speak to Dr since Wednesday, no sign although mum saw him yesterday when he announced " you've had you scan & we're waiting for results.... Erm NO she hadn't, been waiting for that for 2 days. Finally had scan last night. So she's battered and bruised from all the blood tests and still none the wiser with what's wrong with her. So my sister and I are :mad::mad:.
Now going back to see her. Laters all :A
Sorry for the moaning essay :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

TIE big hugs to you.. I know how frustrating it can be when loved ones are in hospital.

You may already know about this service, but if you are really frustrated and you think that things aren't being done properly/have concerns then you can speak to PALS - my dad was in hospital for 8 weeks just sitting waiting for a heart bypass, it took us going to PALS in the end to get anything moving.

The nurses weren't happy that we'd spoken to the PALS people but it was the only thing that worked.

    Take care xx
