..I have been sneaking a few chocolates in work lately so have to try to be good today whilst working from home. (AKA putting my feet up watching loose women and going on the internet!)..

Hi Shelly - I also do this 'working from home!' Love it.

Hope you have a great time with your mum MrsR. I'm loving your preparations (How many bags:eek:) and she sounds like the loveliest mum to have got SW stuff in for you. Sounds like she's really supportive of your weightloss. What a star!

Hope your mum's OK tie, missed you on here tonight.

Am I the only person who has to equate weight loss into another object eg this week I lost 5lb that's a small new born baby - 2lb is roughly a bag of sugar and so on and so forth?

I find the mix of people on this thread really inspiring :)
Thank you for everyone who posts xxx

I don't exactly think of bags of sugar but I am inspired by those 'sandbag' things that consultants have. When I started SW our consultant was pregnant and a group of us used to help her clear up and carry stuff out to the car. I was always motivated by carrying the 1st and half st bags out. They felt really heavy and I knew I'd lost that and more.;)
so have to try to be good today whilst working from home. (AKA putting my feet up watching loose women and going on the internet!)

    Loving it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sod her! keep on losing the weight just to spite her (that's very mature of me!)

I've been so far off the wagon, I'm just a distant dot.

Me too catt. Tonight I'm desperately in need of frogga's famous line. What was planned as a simple lunch out turned into a big family feast and I decided to go for 'sod it' I'll have stuff I wouldn't have at home. Definitely very flexi.:o WI tomorrow. I'm sure I'll have gained BUT.....

Just wanted to say that the going off plan for meals, days, a week or even longer holidays is OK. I used to get so down and depressed. Now I know it's not failure it's just a change in routine or a treat but it's not a healthy way to eat 100% of the time. Having a break won't make me regain the 3.5st I've lost. What matters is that I get back to healthy eating when it's over. I will tomorrow. If you got this far, thanks for listening to me thinking aloud HTH.:)

Thanks ladies for your words - still feeling a bit blue about it and my other friends don't seem to get why? Feel like I've gave her loads of support she's text me loads saying help I'm struggling etc and I've been there with wisdom gleamed from here and to find out for the last month she's been hating me and my loss just really hurts. Don't think I can face her :(

Thanks for the menus I do love a good nosey x plus its all inspiration

Need to have a super free heavy day tomorrow today has been lacking :(

Catt - don't be so hard on yourself! Send 'The Toad' packing and get back on the wagon x I expected a gain this week as it was dds christening but I actually ate very little and made better choices although the cake was delicious every piece I snaffled xxx
Enjoy your holiday though! I love Yorkshire :)

Mrs Ryan sounds like you pack like me - I hate walking in the rain though guess ill be getting used to it though - your so focused on body magic :)

Shelly I have spot outbreaks too and a friend who finds them amusing :(

Lesson for today - pick friends more wisely?!

I'm 4 1/2lb from club ten and 1 1/2lb From 1 1/2 stone but ill get there when I get there I just like the stickers xxx I am a child at heart stickers make me happy

Should have been going to group this morning but my fridge/freezer packed up on Tuesday and today was the earliest I could get one delivered. Had a text message yesterday to say it would be delivered between 9 and 12 this morning:mad:. If I'd had the option I'd have asked for a 3-6pm delivery so I could have gone to group and done my shopping as usual.

I'm top on end of target so shouldn't have to pay for missing a week. Will have a sneaky weigh this morning just make sure I'm still on track - don't want to end up with a gain when I go back next week.

    Today's plan:

    B - magic porridge (HEB1) with fruit
    L - Mini pitta (HEB2) with 1/2 tin tuna (3 syns), salad
D - cauliflower dansk with rice (from the new Family Feasts book - but will add chilli flakes for a bit more heat)

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
HEA2 - may have some cheese with a couple of Ryvita (4 syns)
    Snacks - fruit, carrot sticks

Morning all :) I'm waiting for my train so I thought I'd take advantage of the free WiFi in the coffee shop to pop on and say hello :j
Thanks everyone :) just spoken to mum and she's making me some SW cheese scones and my quiche this morning :) she's even popping out specially to get me some HiFi bars bless her :) she is a star definitely- having lost 11 stone she knows every SW trick in the book and as she's a chef she knows how to make those extra little touches that make the recipes even more delicious :)
Have a good day everyone xxx

Oooh MrsR, does your mum do B&B??:D

WI for me this morning and I gained 1lb. Not unhappy with that as I'm still below target and I know where it's come from and I'll lose it easily.

Leafed through the Christmas book and found this recipe for Red Cabbage:
    ingredients

    1.13kg/2½lb red cabbage
    2 red onions
salt and freshly ground black pepper
    1 tsp ground nutmeg
    3 tbsp red wine vinegar
    2 pink-skinned eating apples
    juice of 1 lemon
    3-4 tbsp granulated artificial sweetener
    a few freshly chopped chives

    method

    1. Prepare the vegetables. Discard any damaged outer leaves from the red cabbage, slice out the coarse stem and finely shred, peel the red onions, cut in half and finely slice.
    2. In a large pan, layer the cabbage with the onions, seasoning with salt and pepper, and sprinkling with the nutmeg as you go.
    3. Spoon over the red wine vinegar and cover with a tight fitting lid. Place over a very low heat for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally and making sure that the mixture doesn't dry out. Add a little water if it does.
    4. Cut the apple into quarters, remove the core, slice thinly and toss in the lemon juice. Lay on top of the cabbage, replace the lid and cook for a further 25 minutes until tender. Gently mix the apples into the cabbage and add sufficient artificial sweetener to taste.
    5. Transfer the cabbage mixture to a serving bowl and serve sprinkled with freshly chopped chives.

It's very similar to the recipe I adapted myself. It makes 8 portions and because it's cooked apple it's 1 syn a portion. I find it freezes brilliantly and LO really jazzed up some Bubble & Squeak. I've got plenty of apples from friends' trees so I'll be making more after I've been shopping for red cabbage.
