Why is it so important to drink lots of water?
I dont drink very much at all .
It is important to keep your body and brain hydrated......it helps to flush your kidneys, clear your complexion, help you feel full up for longer.
It is especially important if you have other factors to consider such as breastfeeding, diabetes, kidney stones, heavy duty exercise (I have had all 4)
Have other liquids for enjoyment not for thirst
If for medical reasons you have to take diuretics, then be governed by the advice of your GP.
Don't worry about consuming water showing on the scales, your bladder can only hold so much :rotfl:
I am trying to make a concerted efforts to drink more, as I could quite "happily" get all my liquid from food, or so I thought meaning I over ate all the time

Hi All
Hi Skinty :hello:
Well last week I had waaayy too much on with end of term shows/dances/prizegivings, never stopped, * week came early as well which resulted in STS at WI last Wednesday.
Have not had much luck at all, more off than on the plan as it was our anniversary on Friday, out for dinner & drinks saturday then pictures & pizza hut yesterday (treat for the kids as they had done so well this year at school & got glowing reports) due to this, I haven't had time to plan/shop etc as I normally would. Back on the wagon tomorrow (again), I don't know what is wrong with me just now, I just don't seem to have any willpower whatsoever & want to eat everything in site. I will go get my salad etc tonight, need to plan as teh childcare nightmare has started & I need to drop DS of at 3 different houses the next 3 days at 8.30 in the morning so I get to work on time . The joys!!! DD is staying at her Grans so thats not so bad, only one to deal with.

What things keep people on the straight and narrow?
Regulars will know I have recently regained several pounds but I have still lost the amount shown below.
I was pegging out my linen this morning and something occurred to me! Since I've lost weight I have bought loads of new underwear and it's very pretty. I hang it out with pride now. :rotfl::rotfl: I used to peg pants up by the gusset but I've been hanging them out by the sides and displaying them in all their glory as they are very pretty and quite a bit smaller.:)
The thought of having to go back to old ugly pants is keeping me going today.
I actually weighed myself this morning and it looks like I might have lost the 2 lbs I gained on holiday last week. I am going for a 3mile walk after lunch and prior to that I am going in the garden to do some fairly heavy work so that will all help.
:rotfl:
my niece and I had a giggle at an elderly neighbours white knickers display fully on the line, niece ,8yrs, said she should have hung them further over so no one can see them between the houses. I told her I use one peg, so mine are not displayed:rotfl: like your old ones!0 -
Hi All , Hi Macpep
First things first Good news first WI - 2lb off, that makes a total of 8 1/2lb off in 3 weeks, so half stone award this week :j
Having a real struggle today although I had quite a blinding start....stuff is hitting me sideways so mealtimes have become a blur, so I will hold my hands up and just record everything that has passed my lips today, and sin it all later
3 Mullerlight Greek Strawberry Corners
1 Digestive Biscuit
1 light cheese triangle
1oz sweetcrust pastry
2 value mini jam rolls
3 boiled eggs

Oh well, let me just try and keep it to free food for the rest of the nightThe cold never bothered me anyway0 -
Hi all,
WI tomorrow morning for me too - not dreading it too much, but can't wait to get it over with. Have been very 100% on plan this week7 days & 57 syns so far. DD has a small chocolate smartie cake bar in the fridge which is looking at me - I keep licking my lips everytime I'm in the fridge so may have a treat tomorrow
Think of those smaller knickers everyone!!

6 pack of the Muller Light Choc yogurts are £1.99 at Lidl at the moment - I think these are free now aren't they?

My youngest had a good suggestion for me today- a jar of buttons to use for my syns. Count out the weeks worth and then take them out as I 'spend' them. Think I will decorate a tin with some of my hundreds of sheets of scrapbook papers later, keep my fingers busy and mind off snacks!Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

Hiya, I'm new to this forum, and new to SW - it all seems too easy at the moment, but I do have lots to lose. Have to find the time to plow through these threads sometime soon!0

That's good!
Another one I've seen on pinterest is 2 glass jars, 1 filled with as many glass pebbles/buttons etc as you have pounds to lose. Just move over the pebbles after you lose every lb - want to do this as seeing it in the kitchen might keep me motivated long term - where can I get 91 glass pebbles cheaply :rotfl:0 -
Welcome Soupdragon, its nice in here!
Skbreeder, hope you have a better less stressful day tomorrow.
I love the pebble jar idea, how about the cheaper acrylic ones from B and Ms, they look like glass too.
Happy anniversary Mcpep.0
