Didn't get on last night, went to mums straight from work as she is very poorly again. When I got there phoned ambulance straight away as she was having chest pains. Ended up being blue lighted to hospital and spent 5 hours in A&E before being admitted AGAIN :(. This time they are concerned about her lungs as heart seems fine (well as fine ah it can be all considering). Now off to visit her.

Anyway ended up eating cold Chinese at 11pm as was hank Marvin so bad day alround. Although did get to speak to Bishop who said we were twins as both wearing purple and asked if I dyed my hair especially for him to which I said of course I did (not) so just hoping no one took photo of us lol. Was a newspaper photographer there but no tv so that's a plus :rotfl:
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

That's a brilliant story tie. I'd be dropping 'as I said to the bishop...' into conversation for years to come.;) Sorry to hear about your mum but glad she's in the right place.

MrsR, I think snacking on a packet of cold meat is a really good idea especially when you're out and about although it's not bad to have in the fridge too.

frogga, I find the lead up to Christmas far worse than the actual holiday itself. When I was getting to target I kept gaining all through December as I was going to endless parties where the buffets were full of syns. The first WI after Christmas I actually lost 5.5lbs, partly as what went on quickly came off quickly but also because the proper Christmas meals of veg and cold meats, salads and pickles were very SW friendly. We'll have to start planning as soon as the Christmas pudding challenge starts.

    EE menu today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, fried egg, ham, HEA milk for teas
    L: banana?
D: steak, SW chips, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms, peas
Syns: weekend wine, squirt of sauce with breakfast

    Hi all,

Feeling slightly better today though I was very ill at 2am this morning :o

Curry with friends was nice last night - it was a hairy dieters recipe so not too bad on the syn front - unfortunately the dessert was too good to pass up & won't have done me any favours :o

Anyway, just realised my Club 10 is 1lb lower than I thought it was which has really annoyed me, but I'm determined to do it this week to give me another boost towards my 2 stone award.

B; pudding rice & ff yoghurt
    L; syn free tomato soup
    D; not sure yet!

    C xx

    Hi everyone

Frogga - I am also wondering what to do over Christmas as don't want to undo all my hard work so far. I have decided that I will buy some treats but not as much as usual years. I go to class and our weigh in after Christmas will be 27 December so definitely will gain then. I think Christmas day and Boxing day I will eat what I want without counting syns but not have a binge and then will try to get back on track. I can usually take or leave the sweet things but for me the danger zones are things like peanuts, crisps, sausage rolls etc.

Has anyone else had any thoughts about how to handle the Christmas period?

    Hi Tracey

I live with Mr Frog and two tadpoles, a 16 year old male and a 17 year old female. They don't often like the Christmas things that I do
I like Christmas Cake, they don't.
I like Dundee Cake, they don't.
    I like Cheesecake, they don't.

SO if I want these things, there is always quite a lot, so I eat it all :( I have not bought a whole Chritmas Cake, just a slab, 6 portions. But I'll be eating all of that.

I want to try to be good up until we break up for school, then just make sure I write everything down, as even though it will be alot over what I should be eating, I'll be conscious of it. That's the first part of my plan anyway...

    Over on syns again today:

    Another EE day:

B - bacon, egg, mushrooms and beans
L - toasted cheese sandwich, salad ; apple crumble cake
D - beef and bean stew, HEB bread

    HEA - milk in tea

    Syns: Cake (16); cheese (6); wine (12) = 34

Will have to pull back a bit over the week!
