Sorry for not being around.. I think i'll be dropping out of this challenge, but i'll join the next if that's ok.. i'll keep the list going and be a cheerleader for everyone though!:j
I'm having a proper stressful time at work at the momentlong hours, stressiness all day, crying on the way home etc - so my willpower is lower than it's ever been, and unfortunately when we work long hours we have tea bought for us which of course comes from the local takeaways.. this week we've had pizza twice and fish & chips once.
I'm disappointed in myself because I started the week well and the first few days i'd actually lost weight but no doubt by the time I weigh on Sunday it'll be more on and then some..
Anyway misery over.. i'll keep to plan on the days I can and on the days I cant, well i'll try and manage to keep it down to a certain level.
Soz for the long post, but I didn't want to just disappear after the support you guys give xx I've got a few weeks to buck up my ideas and get myself back in the zone before the Christmas Challenge!!
Shala, wondered where you'd got to. You poor thing, it sounds like you are really struggling at the moment with work - is it stress that's likely to go away or a long term thing? It's awful how we make ourselves ill sometimes with work and it dominates our life. Hope it gets better soon; crying on the way home is terrible, and whatever is causing it - well that's just not right. Wish we could really do something to help.
You are doing the right thing with just trying to stick with the food thing mentally even if circumstances mean it's hard in reality, then by the time the Christmas Challenge starts you'll hopefully be raring to go!
BTW I will take over the list if it gets too much of a pain for you, just whistle.
Hugs

Hi Shala (and everyone else of course!)
Sorry you're having a bad time of it at work, I remember having a job like that and the boss thought that if we were bought a take away as we were there till silly o clock then it was all OK, remember crying all the way home too.
From your posts (and organisational skills - doing our weight loss chart) you seem like a very strong person and I am sure you will come through it, ready to join in the Christmas challenge!
Please put me on the chart -1lb, it's coming off slowly but I am getting there.
Hope you and all fellow slimmers have a great weekend and get to do something you are looking forward to having the time to do, whether that be a long relaxing bath with a good book, catch up on the tele, a long walk, spending time with loved ones etc etc, anyone doing anything really exciting this weekend?0 -

Just looked a the funds for the rest of the month and things are going to be very very tight!
I do SW on a limited budget lantanna. Fortunately for me it's from choice but it can be done. Today I had my banana at 3.30 after my appointment then nipped into a local Co-op. YS ham at 75% off and runner beans the same.:j I ate one packet of ham walking up the street.:o Another's in the fridge to go with breakfast and a couple more in the freezer. One pack of beans to go with our delish chicken casserole. I can't believe we had a hearty casserole and the only syns were in a tbsp. of cornflour I shared with DH. Amazing!!Sorry for not being around.. I think i'll be dropping out of this challenge, but i'll join the next if that's ok.. i'll keep the list going and be a cheerleader for everyone though!:j

Thanks for keeping in touch shala and offering to keep score and a big hug 'cos you sound like you need it. Sometimes I think we're all in the 'I'll do what I can' position. If you don't lose touch and keep getting back on plan we'll get there in the end.0 -
Hi all
Maman - I'm so glad to know that I'm not the only one who eats packets of ham at a timeI thought it was just me being strange!!
Hugs to you shala - I'm off work with amongst other things work related stress as I just had enough one day, broke down and started crying and couldn't stopI really feel for you chick, hope it gets better xx
Been really good with the exercising and not too bad with the synsit was difficult when I went past the chippy when I was on my walk
but I managed to resist
I did a three mile walk today, 30 miles on the exercise bike and 30 crunches. I hope I at least lose a pound but after such a lousy rotten week Im not holding my breath!!
Friday's menu:
B: (Frozen) raspberries with vanilla Mullerlight, cup of coffee x 2 with HEXA s/s milk;
L: Beans and tuna on HEXB Nimble toast, apple, litre of NAS cordial and mineral water in my sports bottle while walking.
T: Tesco Lighter Choices Chicken and Ham pasta (9 syns but very nice) steamed baby new potatoes, steamed carrots and cauli florets, Tesco Everyday Value frozen fruit salad (apple, pineapple, mandarin, melon and grapes) with vanilla Mullerlight, pint of NAS cordial and mineral water;
Supper: Chicken and sweetcorn MugShot, lean ham, plus the litre of NAS cordial and mineral water I had while exercising.
Total: 9 syns
That Tesco Value frozen fruit salad is a fab find. Its only a quid a pack but the packs are quite small - but its a good way of getting your SuperSpeed and its considerably cheaper than the fresh stuff!!!

6 Week Awesome in Autumn Challenge Day 27 Week 4
Saturday 5th October
Morning Everyone :T I had a HUGE lie in  I didn't get up until 7am, now I feel all behind.
Sorry you've been having a rubbish time at work Shala, that's rotten. If you can't get the focus back, maybe it is a good idea to aim for the Christmas Pudding Challenge. Why put yourself through the pain of trying when you can't get your head in the right place? There is only 2 weeks to go

Been worrying a little bit about Christmas. Last Dec 1st I weighed 13st, and by Jan 1st I was 15st 2lb. Yes, I put on 2st 2lb in 4 weeks
I was planning on just having the 2 week Christmas holiday as an 'eat what you want' break, but I started on the 1st Dec and I couldn't stop. To be honest I was sick of all the food way before Christmas day even showed it's face
On Jan 1st I vowed to sort myself out but I couldn't. I faffed about around the 14st mark all year. I've only managed to get to 13st something in the last few weeks, and it's October! I don't want to spend the 10 months after Christmas just getting back to where I am now.
I have a cupboard FULL of Christmas food already. I've got Chocolate, biscuits, crackers, cake, pringles, nuts etc. And I don't even want to eat them, I just feel very happy knowing they are there. It's like a comfort blanket. I keep getting them out and sniffing them, and looking at the packets. But I'm happy at the moment not eating them.
I do feel in control at the moment, and I don't want to blow it, but I do want to enjoy Christmas by having what I want. I need a plan....Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Frogga, I related to this so much it made me want to croak!! My first attempt at SW resulted in me being under target just in time for the Christmas party I had been aiming for, and of course that night I went on a food bender. Then Christmas came, New Year and by 5th January I had regained my senses but lost all my hard work and gained a bit for good measure.
I have never been able to get back there, but that is my dream.
I hate to read about people trying to lose weight for a special occasion with the express intention of eating and drinking like mad once they get there. This way lies madness and damnation - take it from an old crone. Those of you who are at target and maintaining, you have my total admiration. That's the really hard bit!
33 Mrs Ryan!! Just a sapling!0
