Frogga - people drive me mad with their unwelcome comments.

Mrs Ryan - feel a bit like jacking it all in myself too at the minute - things annoying me etc - though I keep looking at that loss on my signature and that makes me think twice.
Think when you have it in lbs it makes it look more significant.

    Is it Friday yet?

I kept thinking yesterday was Friday :(

Not very hungry today, but drinking lots of fluid to try & get rid of the waffle damage last night :o Think I'm coming down with a cold as my nose is all tickly & my head is 'wooly' :(

Trying to empty the fridge/freezers & cupboards before dd's bithday/christening/christmas & found 2 half full tins of slimfast taking up a lot of space, seeing as I don't feel like eating at the mo, I think I'll have one for lunch. I know it's not technically compatible with SW but it might make me appreciate it a bit more!

    B; none
    L; slimfast
D; veg sausages, egg, beans, mushrooms & sw chips

Very light on superfree at the moment - need to pop some fruit onto the shopping list!

Don't know what's wrng with me these days.

    Hope everyone's having a good day :D

Sending a huge hug to lantanna and MrsRyan and anyone else feeling down today. PLEASE, don't give up. Like mildredd said, having a bad day or even a bad meal really isn't the end of the world. That's the whole point of 'flexi' on SW. We'll all have a slip up now and again, what matters is how we deal with it. So come on here, have a rant, then get straight back on the plan.

And :Tto you both for not actually getting as far as having the extra syns. Unlike me who probably had 20+ unplanned wine syns last night. I suffered this morning:( ;)

Thanks for the responses on leggings. Do you wear them with long cardis? mini dresses? MrsRyan, I know what you mean about not wanting to waste money as you're going down through the sizes. I wore the same pair of black trousers to WI for months and they got baggier and baggier. I did a fair bit of charity shop shopping. That was for two reasons: cheap smaller sizes and I experimented with colours. When they got too big I just gave them back to the CS.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
L: LO veg to fry up although not hungry yet
D: SW burger and wedges with tomatoes, mushrooms and peas.

A bit low on SFs but lunch is almost 100% so will help. Just remembered I've got some red onions so might roast those for an extra veg with supper.

Talking of onions, denise, do you have a recipe for your onion soup?

Maman - I fry light onions in a pan for on top of burgers :) but then I use my hexb bread slices as a bun so its close to what I'd get from a burger van

I was saying to my non sw friend last night I feel a bit of a fraud on sw as instead of doing all new recipes I just try to adapt what I normally eat to being sw friendly ?

I know I should be nicer TIE, and I'm totally sure she has all the best intentions when going on and on and on but you would think she would take the hint when I just fob her off and say 'oooo I don't like to talk bout it'!

I have said I find it very personal, and I don't like to talk about it because I have issues, but she says 'oh yes oh yes, and then does it again!!!

I think a punch in the face is in order :D

It's just a basic French Onion soup recipe. I used the one from Delia Smith but there are loads on the net.

It's just a case of frying off 1 Kg of onions & 2-3 garlic cloves on a high heat until the edges begin to brown, turn down the heat and allow to caramalise, takes about 30 minutes or so. Add about 1 litre of good beef stock (can use veg stock if you want to make it vegetarian but I don't think it has such a good flavour or colour), 250 mls dry white wine (you could add extra stock or water if you don't want the syns but 8 syns for 4-6 portions isn't too bad, and again gives a better flavour).

Bring to boil then turn down to simmer and allow to cook for about an hour.

Anyway, went to WI this morning and pleased to say I only put on 1.5lb during my month's holiday:D. Only need to lose 1lb next week to get back into target and not having to pay:T.

Have done a meal plan for the week and will definitely try to stick to it, which I haven't today because my shopping took me longer than expected so ended up buying some vegetable sushi in Morries, haven't checked syns but don't think they'll be many, perhaps 2?

Glad I made my soup yesterday, as I think I've sprained my ankle. I'm just waiting for DH to get home from work to take me up the hospital - would have popped in on my way home from shopping if I hadn't got loads of meat, fish & frozen stuff!

Mmmm, French onion soup sounds delcious for dinner!

So far, My day is this:
    B: fruit, 0% Total, 1 tsp honey (1 syn)
L: 120g smoked trout, 10 cherry tomatoes, slice of WM breadfrom 800g loaf(HEB)
    Milk in coffee.

Syns: 30g of jumpy snacks, 144 kcal, 7 syns?

    Snacks: plums

Could I count this as a green day, with HEB being the bread and fish?
If so I might well make sone French onion soup and have a but if cheese for the HEA.

I also had a really good, fast, long walk today, up a hill and down a dale!
    Trying to keep in budget.
