Oh dear, hope not too serious. Weightloss is a great aspirational goal and we'll help each other get there over time but your boy's health must take priority. If you have to eat carp hospital fast food then so be it.;)( I've never really understood the logic of why my local hospital looks like a shopping mall as you walk in and the food outlets sell the most unhealthy rubbish you can imagine!).

Good and bad bits about today:

Good:checked the packaging and DH's evening chocolate is only 25g (not 40) so I'm only having about 6-7g a night.:)

Went to evening WI, didn't stay as I don't know anyone there and didn't seem very friendly. Lost 3.5lbs :j(please update shala;)). That's over 3 weeks but I'm back to maintaining which is where I came in on the 6 week challenge. I'm now just 1lb inside the bottom of target range so I'm going to stick to plan to stay there.

Bad: I've never been one to binge to celebrate but tonight I've had unplanned wine syns:eek: Back on the wagon tomorrow.:)

Strangely, tonight was the first time it's really hit me (probably the wine;)) how much losing weight is as much about what's going on in your head as your body.

    'night all.:A

Traveling - hope your son is okay

Maman I think your right re trying to lose weight and being in the right head space? I've been this size for like 12 years plus but my previous attempts have been short lived and I've brushed off that I'm happy this size. But now I'm in a good place and where as I'd previously have gone no point being good this week as I'm out on Sunday I'm now going okay Sunday will be bad food wise but a weeks 7 days and the other 6 ill try my hardest. Even if I gain ill know I did my best ;)

Note to self - eggs and mushy pea curry on same day school boy error school boy error :(
Started sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb

New Year New You Challenge - /6lb

Ah TakeItEazy its nice to see I'm not the only one who wanted to see Healey getting a pasting!! I dislike that man intensely - he's nearly run my OH off the road twice, the last time I was in the car as well and he was driving like a maniac!!!
re the leggings debate - I'm living in mine since I've lost for the simple reason I cant afford to keep replacing my jeans :( I have about 5 pairs of jeans and three pairs of jeggings which are a rather fantastic invention ;) my jeans (bar one pair of 18's) are all size 20 and they are literally clinging on by the slimmest of threads now for the simple reason I cant afford any more!! I have 2 pairs of size 18 jeggings and one pair of size 20 which are ok but I really have to try and keep them for 'good' Most of my leggings are from when I was 'big' and so are kept for exercise wear only, although I have one pair of size 16 ones from Lipsy which are my 'weigh in' leggings and I do like because they give me a nice shape.
I've had a bit of a frustrating day today  I had to go over to Nottingham to sort out a problem with my bank account   I made the mistake of going into Asda. I just saw all this lovely food and thought what I would give for a bar of chocolate or a ready-made sandwich or something like that that I used to love... ended up in meltdown on the phone to my mum and nearly jacked it all in :( However I then tried on the size 16 clothes I had bought in Asda which cheered me up a bit. I've got the most brilliant nightshirt on that I bought - its black and pink and says 'Batgirl never sleeps' I've got pink leopard print PJ bottoms on with it as well... :D
    Wednesday's menu.
B: 3x Ryvita Hint of Chili (HEXB) with three slices of lean ham, apple, Evian water
S: Bag of Metcalfe's Skinny Topcorn Sea Salt (5.5 syns and worth every single one!!! It was gorgeous and surprisingly filling)
L: More lean ham, 2 bananas, handful of some I think they're called Escapes or something by Warburtons, Chilli and Cheese flavour, (6 syns) more Evian water
T: Tesco Lighter Choices Salmon and Broccoli Pie (2 syns) steamed baby new potatoes, mixed steamed veg, cherry tomatoes, then chopped banana and raspberries with vanilla Mullerlight. Pint of NAS cordial with mineral water.
Supper: Mixed salad with more ham, fat free vinegarette, cup of tea with HEXA s/s milk.
    Syns: 13.5
Didn't go on the bike as I didn't feel up to it, wasn't feeling very well - not had a meltdown that bad for a while, that's one of the problems of chronic depression :(
I have my first counselling session today, hopefully I will feel a little better after it - planning to go for a walk afterwards.
    Night all xxx

6 Week Awesome in Autumn Challenge Day 25 Week 4

    Thursday 3rd October

Morning Campers ~ Hi De Hi :j welcome newbys

Hope you son is ok Travelling Light? What a worry. Forget worrying about food, that puts things into perspective doesn't it?

Bummer about the bank account hassell Mrs Ryan, hope it is sorted. These sorts of things do upset the apple cart don't they.

I think for me losing/gaining weight is ALL in the head :o

I can see my Mum is itching to say something about my weight loss but it is a forbidden subject. I just want people to stop going on about it.

There is one TA at school who mentios it EVERY DAY
"ooo look at you, slim jim"
"how much weight have you lost now"
    "how have you done it"
"how much weight have you lost now"
"how much did you used to weigh" "
how much weight have you lost now"

we even had a bunch of new teachers in the staff room that I was chatting to and she came over and said
"tell all the newbys how much you used to weigh and how much you weigh now"

I nearly punched her in the face ;)

    Good Morning everyone.

Frogga, she probably thinks she's been really nice and positive and congratulating you - maybe a quiet word's in order before you blow your top!

It's dark and cold here but I've got to get on!
    Today looks like this:
B: fruit, 0% total, weetabix and milk (HEA and B)
L: smoked trout, courgette, beans, mushrooms.
D: Probably chilli or spag bol (freezer) salad/veg

I go away on holiday on Saturday for a week, so there's going to be a lot of eating opportunities. As you said Maman, it's psychological, my head tells me that because I'm on holiday it is OK to just stuff myself and be excessive. This is partly why I started SW before I went on hols because then I'm in the right frame of mind to make better choice whilst away.

Right, better get on and start the day!
    Trying to keep in budget.

Have done my plan for today but it's definitely looking a bit light.

    Green day:
    B - banana (after WI)
    L - beans on toast (HEB1), salad
D - HM onion soup, cheesy crouton (HEA1/HEB2); HM cake/custard (need to work out syns - will probably quite high)
Edit: Have worked out syns and it works out at 8 syns for cake and 4 for custard so total of 12 - not as bad as I thought it might be!
    HEA2: milk in tea

    Snacks: fruit

I had a similar conversation yesterday about MY foot in mouth comments. I was talking to 2 TAs about things I have said and been taken the wrong way. I explained I never mean to offend and think it always sounds ok in my head but turns out others don't think so :o. They then both came out with things I'd said to them that upset them in some way which  me. I apologised profusely as hadn't meant offence and have told them both to say if I do it again. I now feel awful and scared to speak in case I offend anyone (especially parents ).
Am apologising now to anyone on here who feels I've said something which upset them, my heart is really in the right place you know :o.

Hope you son is ok Travelinglight x
