  • Hi all, I've been lurking since I joined sw in August and have picked up some great tips from you all. Well done on all the losses. I went up a pound last week and no idea why.
Can you tell me if the chicken soup I made tonight had syns in it? I did a sw roast chicken the other day and used the carcass including the skin having used the meat for other dishes. I enjoyed the soup but started to worry that it's not free Which would mean no chocolate me me later.
I also made spaghetti Bolognese with aldi chopped tomatoes with onion and garlic......think it's syn free but couldn't find any details on their web page or app? Can you help me out on this as well?
    Thanks all

:wave:Sounds to me if the soup was not absolutely syn free. The skin is likely to have had some fat in it but hopefully not too much. next time I'd just use a stock cube.

The Aldi tomatoes are likely to be free so the Bolognese sounds fine, assuming extra lean mince.

Keep sticking to the plan, maybe you'll get a big loss next week to make up for this week's gain.

marco, the plan is intended to have syns. I know you want to do well but do try to have some. You're OK with your 12 Mrs R, you must be hungry too with all your exercise.

beanie, it's OK to feel hungry as long as you eat the right things.

    Sleep well all.:)

    Morning All,

Flip me I need Dyno Rod to come lol This always seems happen when I have PMT!!

So last night made my version of Big Mac in a bowl and for those who are interested here's how I made it - it was delicious btw!! and I'll definitely be making it again.

Season Xtra Lean Mince with salt, pepper, Worcester sauce

Shape Xtra Lean Mince into Burger shapes (use an egg white) to encourage the meat to stick.

Its better if you make them ahead and then you can put them into the fridge for an hour or two - which helps them keep their shape - I didn't though

Sear the burgers in a frying pan - sprayed with Fry Light

And then into the oven until fully brown and cooked through - about 20 mins depending on how you like them

I used 2 slices of nimble (he) and placed tomato, cheese (He)& gherkins onto.

Place your burger into the sandwich and wrap the entire thing in tin foil and place in the oven for 10 - 15 mins until cheese melts.

Wrapping in tinfoil and placing in the oven makes all the difference as all the flavours combine - got this tip from The Takeaway Secret btw !

I served mine on a bed of lettuce and served with slimming world chips.

Burger Sauce - You need to syn this and make it to taste obviously. Many different variations around but I made mine

with 1 tablespoon of Red Sauce
    1 teaspoon American Mustard
    1 teaspoon branston Pickle
1 tablespoon of Extra Light Mayo & then serve depending on how much you like.

Obviously a wholemeal bap would be better than the Nimble but that was what I had last night and it was amazing.

Thank you. I have decided to keep to 5-6 sins a day. This will allow me some leeway if I make any mistakes. x

OOOH, I am dying to try the rocky road bars but don't go to class, can u get them anywhere else? Might ask my friend who goes to class to get me some. Are 2 one healthy extra B?
Just got some Muller light lemon cheesecake yoghurts so am hoping they taste good, will let u know. :)
Midredd I really liked the fanta chicken, the sauce was a bit thin but then it thickened up at the end, we've had it every week upto now but don't think I will have it again this week, just got a chilli and jacket spuds on the go.
Hope you all have a fab weekend, looking forward to x-factor and a glass of wine!

Can someone please tell me what fanta chicken is. I think it may be the same as coke chicken done in the slow cooker. I can not remember if you use diet or proper drink in them but if not diet you would have to sin them. Sorry if I sound a bit confused or stupid.
I really struggle to think of new dishes to try when we stick to SW.
Can I also ask if anyone has a lovely parsnip soup that they love. I tried this for the first time at the weekend before SW and it was lovely. I found one on the SW site last night-curried parsnip soup but would love one that someone has tried.
Thanks again everyone for all the tips and help.
