  • Hi All, thanks so much for you support re the work thing, Anoneemoose, Mildredd, Blodwen, Maman, Catt and Becks especially you've made me feel so much better.
Becks- I love running too, only on the treadmill at the gym at the mo but when I get started I am like Forrest Gump, I can't stop, think it is addictive! But then when I do stop I am totally done in!
and re the friend on facebook I don't understand some people that seems really friendly and then suddenly back off? nowt so queer as folk, as my old granny used to say!
Congrats Blodwen on your weight loss, and thanks for the advice about being the doo organiser, I have done that before and it went well, so will give it a go.
Good Luck with your tests Catt, I have been there and it is so stressful and upsetting but got there in the end, I felt at the time like everyone else was pregnant and had to congratulate friends and then have a cry when they weren't looking. I had the charts, the thermometers and everything else and got pregnant after I had just given up and thought it would never happen. I was going to say that I too would love to be Gok'd but it seems quite rude after what I have just been saying!
No, seriously I love Gok but don't think I would like him grabbing my bangers! My hubbie has a theory that he isn't gay but pretends he is so he can fondle women and get away with it:rotfl:I think he is just jealous!
Thanks again and keep going with the diets (or should I say healthy eating or food optimising?) x

Ha ha - my hubby says he's not really gay either! :rotfl: Maybe they know something we don't?!

So much for my early night, but 1 x 100% day & feeling very pleased with myself :D
  • Frogs don't trump! Who knew ;)
Frogga I want to see pics of your meals :)

I run like phoebe from friends so I think when I decide to start body magic ill not be running ;)

Catt I was an active member on the ttc thread on here for nearly 2 years had effectively give up trying and was resigned to going down assistance route and then fell pregnant during a break from it all the poas's the charting xxx I had to endure my best friend getting pregnant and having a baby while I was still trying xxx hugs xxx

Those with weigh ins tomorrow good luck !

Is anyone else's consultant really cringed mine says stuff like hope to see less of you next week - go forth and shrink ;@

Re - certificates I face booked slimming world who basically went ask ur consultant it's their choice how they reward you!

Beanie - nah you wouldn't cooking is fun ;) and chefs are overrated (hugs) hope your doing okay xxx

Tie - apple cake really?! What's Mfp?

Not sure I believe that Frogga, I can see a green haze over Ipswich from here in Norfolk :rotfl:

Well I say, that's just rude!!

Photos of my meals? Really? I shall ask Tadpole 2 if I can borrow the camera then, you nut job ;)

Thrifty it may well be a rule about leavers? When I left my job in the library they had a rule that once you were an ex you were no longer invited to the do's? I'm sure it won't be personal?

You can come to the Christmas meal we'll have on here anyway. It'll be much better, as long as Blodwen and Maman don't start climbing on the table after having one too many like they did last year? And Beanie and Magic spent all evening pinching the waiters' bottoms! Actually, I'm not coming out with you lot again, you just lower the tone. I'm gonna find me some sophisticated friends :D

and so here we go again...

  • HaHa! :rotfl:Thanks Frogga, I will come it sounds just like my kind of do! You have described my usual behaviour at the Christmas Party (maybe that's why I've not been invited!)
Maybe you are right about not inviting leavers, it could be a policy knowing all the rules and regs we had there.
Hope all goes well for everyone today :)

Beanie Lou - Feel exactly the same myself! Wi for me tonight - I've had a hell of week so not feeling too optimistic but time will tell. No exercise done this week either and I need a major visit from Dyno Rod!!

Becks81 - Someone did that to me once on FB - read my message and then took days to reply. A wise man once told me instead of thinking that you've done something wrong or they don't like you etc your first thought should be maybe something is wrong with them in their lives that stops them from replying.

Good luck to all today :)

Do they really work? I'd be afraid my muffin top would just move north to where the waistband is :o DOn't even know if they do my size in these things but I'd love to try! :(

They do, and they go up to sizes somewhere in the 20s! They come practically up to my ribs (and I am tall) but you do have to make sure you don't get them too small or else wear a slightly looser top as a tight top does show an under bra bulge :( I bought some straight ones and some skinny, and the skinny ones are tighter all over - the 14 was only a teeny bit bigger on the waist as the 12 straight, but I managed to resist the temptation of buying the 12 just because they were a 12 as they were too small. The last pair I had were bootcut and I think they are a bit bigger overall. Going to wear the skinny ones on a night out tomorrow but have made sure the new top I got to go with them (£3 from a discount store- when I checked the label it is from River Island so was probably about £30 :money: ) is quite loose even though it's a size 10 - I am SO not a RI 10 but grabbing it and running!

I don't need any more in my bra - whenever I lose weight my B00bs get bigger!:eek::eek::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lucky you, mine have all but disappeared :( While I was buying the jeans I also had to get a '2 sizes bigger' bra (with OH's encouragement! :rotfl:)

I'm feeling a bit flat tonight, and ThriftyShelly I can relate with you. I started messaging a girl I knew from my old SW group as she said she was thinking of coming back, this is the girl that inspired me to start running so I have been messaging her trying to arrange a meet up. However, she is not replying and now I feel like I'm being all stalker-ish. This is on facebook, so sometimes facebook isn't all that great for things like this. I can see that she has read my message(s) and now I feel all poop and am starting to wonder if I was too keen. I know its not the same thing, but I'm feeling quite down about it.

The thing about being able to see when people have read FB messages is both a blessing and a curse. I messaged a friend a week ago who has recently had a baby to see if we could go and visit them before we go on hols, and she had read it within 30 mins but hasn't replied. I know she'll be v busy with the baby but she's been on FB a lot since and someone else put on her wall about how she was looking forward to visiting them tomorrow - even a 'we're too busy at the moment' or something would have done. Another girl who my friend invited to a meet up texted my friend at the last minute to say she had only just seen the message and had already made plans, but she could see she'd read it a week before! I totally know how you feel, it's really depressing when you think you click with someone and make an effort to stay in touch but the don't seem keen but I think Lantanna is right - you've done nothing wrong by being friendly, it's the other person who is being rude by not replying to an invitation, even to decline if they want to.

Haha, Frogga, do you know me in real life?! :rotfl:

Fast day today but will be quite busy in work so that's fine. Need to start writing a list of stuff to take on hols too, try on stuff from last time to see if anything still fits and start doing some washing. Cycled today and got rained on from the halfway point so have slightly damp knickers now (brought spare socks but forgot that as I don't have mudguards the water sprays up my back! :( ) Not riding tomorrow though as got a busy afternoon then will be driving straight home to feed the cats and get changed before going for friend's leaving do.

Have a good Friday eve all :)

I want to come to this Christmas do as well Frogga - it sounds like much more fun than my normal work one :T

Got some good body magic last night at Zumba - I do enjoy my weekly class - somehow I always feel like being virtuous (well, food-wise at least) when I get back ;)

    EE for me today:
B: Boiled egg with 1 slice of granary bread spread with x2 laughing cow light (part HEA - the rest I will use for milk in tea) - I know the granary bread isn't a HEB as such but now I am at target I do prefer if to standard wholemeal, 1/2 grapefruit, small bunch of grapes, small glass of fruit juice (2 syns)
L: Couscous with loads of SF veg/salad & mackerel fillets in tomato sauce, ML FF greek style yogurt (1/2 syn)
T: Homemeade SW chicken curry with basmati rice & a tiny bit of OH naan bread (?? syns)
    S & D: Banana, apple, water & tea

Have a good day all :)

I can't wait. My rendition of Dancing Queen and Delilah after wine syns is legendary!
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Today should have been WI for me but I gave it a miss. I'm pretty sure that I haven't put on since last week but the mse in me doesn't want to risk going over target and paying. As I don't ever weigh at home it'll be another week before I'll update the list but meanwhile trying to stick to plan on all 'normal' days.

Off to a good start today with just HEXs for breakfast (bran flakes). Lunch will either be soup or frittata. I've kept back potatoes from last night specially to make some today. SW Bolognese planned for supper. Only syns planned is a bit of parmesan but that pack of crisps is still in the cupboard.
