Anon I made mine mainly as an experiment and didn't follow all the recipes online as Im a tight wad and hate wasting food
    Mine was
2 red onions grated and sweated in fry light
    1 tin beans
    1 tin mushy peas
    1 tin chopped tomatoes
Curry powder - I used tikka as I had it in the cupboard (added the powder to the onions)
I blended the tins with a hand blender before adding to the onion
Heat through and I served mine with
Sw chips - rice - fried onions - oven roasted veg (not all of these but that's what people had it with)

Ooh that sounds yum! Thank you. I may try it one night when I don't have to go anywhere the next day.....

Aren't people on here nice? You're all so supportive, I think it really helps

I know it definitely helps me.:A I did go to the 'all you can eat' Chinese place last night and was quite pleased with myself. I know it was because of you lot on here and our commitment to the challenge. I hadn't realised before how SW friendly this restaurant can be as I generally used to stagger out too stuffed to walk properly! I could have made even better choices if I wasn't allowing myself a few treats. I had a small plate of samosas, spring rolls and seaweed but after that everything was SW friendly including loads of fresh pineapple for a pudding.
Unfortunately I then stayed up late having wine syns and succumbed to some more crisps.:(

Sorry to hear you're feeling a bit left out shelly. Something similar happened to me when I left my job but it was mainly because it would have been a bit undermining for my 'replacement' if I'd been invited to things. Now that a whole crowd of us have left we meet up regularly along with a few old friends who are still there. So what I'm saying is that I don't go to the work things but see my old colleagues separately. Why not try something like that?

I'd definitely agree with buying new jeans when you drop sizes, it's a great morale booster. Another thing I did when dropping sizes was buy a few bits from charity shops. When I was fat I used to dress in black from head to toe as it was 'slimming'.;) I used the CSs to experiment with colour. I was only thinking the other day, I can't remember when I last wore black 'formal' trousers and I used to wear them every day like a uniform. Now if I want to be smart I wear skirts and dresses and jeans for casual. Like sukey said yesterday, I'm not boasting just reinforcing how great it feels to be able to choose anything I like in clothes shops.

I've got a good EE day planned:

B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, fried egg, mushrooms, HEA milk
L: HM vegetable soup (unless I make a frittata)
D: sausage, mash, onions, red cabbage, peas, green beans
Syns: gravy, 1 syn for 2 sausages

This is me all over to a t! Last night I stayed up late having gin syns and cheese, ham & pickle! But do you no what I needed it!!

I'm not boasting just reinforcing how great it feels to be able to choose anything I like in clothes shops.

Reinforce all you like...................It motivates me and I'm sure others to hear this from somebody who had been through it and now can choose whatever they like in the shops. I for one cannot wait for that day!!
  • Anon I think that may be wise..... Parp!!!

Maman that Chinese sounds wonderful :) ah well that's what flexi syns are for and its not every day you go to the Chinese all you can eat :)

I actually can't wait to walk into some shops and know that I can buy stuff from the women's range or even just a normal clothes shop although shops have got better at stocking larger sizes - I look like a next shop threw up on me most days - next jeans next Tshirt is my unofficial uniform xx even work uniform was next or dps Tshirt with black formal trousers
It actually motivates me knowing people are at the other end of the journey to me so I know its doable

I feel I probably ramble more on here than be supportive but I do read everyone's posts and if I have an answer try and give it xxx
I'm just a rambler though really

    Today's ee plan is
Breakfast - nas squash banana apple
Lunch - left over scouse with pickled onions n beetroot to boost the super free already in it
Dinner- spag Bol pretty super free really but may add a fruit pud or a salad to boost it
Plus I think I'm going to try to up my water intake in nas squash as I don't like plain water :s

I haven't read back a lot, so hugs to all who need them & a pat on the back to the rest!

Talking of clothes, I desperately need new jeans, but waiting until I really can't hold them up even with a belt. I'm always telling DH I need to be 'Gok'd ' :rotfl: I never know what suits me & always feel uncomfortable.

Been to Dr & am facing a barrage of more blood tests & scans to find out why I'm not concieving/having long cycles & why I'm so bloody tired all the time including std's, diabetes, anaemia, pcos & I forget what else :( Also been confirmed that I won't be eligble for fertility assistance as I already have DD. I can cmpletely understand that but it still makes me sad

Anyhoo - got a 3.5 week target to get to!
    B; fruit salad & yoghurt
    S; banana
    L; 12 veg speed soup
D; veg sausages, sw chips (so much for low carb!), eggs, beans, mushrooms & tomato

Early night as hubby away, to see if that helps me any!

    C xx

If you think that's TMI you obviously haven't been around here very long :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Buying smaller jeans is a great feeling - I bought 2 new pairs of the Asda bum and tum jeans at the weekend - only £18 and high waisted to banish the evil muffin top, I love them! :D

Do they really work? I'd be afraid my muffin top would just move north to where the waistband is :o DOn't even know if they do my size in these things but I'd love to try! :(

  • Hiya me again I have a question?
I fancy chicken Kiev tomorrow but really don't want to eat a rubbish one full of syns but I really don't fancy the sw quark or frontage frais one
I'm wondering if I could make my own but syn it as appropriate ?
Ie 25g of Philadelphia garlic and herb?2 syns
25g of golden breadcrumbs? 4.5 syns
Split over 2 so would be 3.5?
That would be okay wouldn't it?
