So far I'm resisting wanting what they make each week!
I try and save by hexb and syns for the evening as I do enjoy a snack at the tv ;)

My consultant recommended melting a freddo so 5 syns and dunking chopped fruit in it to make it last longer?

I'm doing rubbish at using syns today :( used 0!!! Think ill treat myself to a coffee with actual sugar I just don't like sweetener or at least the sweetener things I tried

thanks for the certificate thingy, was curious as one woman on the fb group has a fridge covered in them
"stamps foot, i want a certificate as well "

It's right that consultants have to buy in the certificates so the more they give out the less they earn IYSWIM. Mine gives them out for every half stone lost but I notice when we have a stand-in consultant she tells us to ask the following week.

Sorry to hear about the car beanie, particularly  when weather taking a turn for the worse!

There's a frittata recipe (I think they call it autumn hash) in the little booklet that came with this month's magazine. I never use 6 eggs though, probably why mine fall apart!:rotfl:They're my current favourite for snacking but would make a good breakfast or lunch on the move. Last week I used tinned potatoes for the first time. I was a bit sceptical in case they tasted funny but perfectly fine. Potatoes give it a bit of body. I tend to put in whatever's to hand. Generally, fry up an onion (always soften in microwave first) with a few sliced mushrooms, some chopped peppers and some diced up tomatoes, sometimes courgette too. Add cubed/sliced cooked potato , fry/mix it all up together. Pour on beaten egg mixture and cook as for omelette. When the base is cooked and no liquid, brown off under the grill. It's even nicer with grated cheese on before grilling if you want to syn/use HEA.

May be change of plan for meal this evening. Birthday girl full of cold so may have take-away instead. I know we're lucky having the stir-fry option but they still have all the other dishes in batter etc. so temptation at every turn!

I only have a two and a half stone sticker and a three stone one. I got these when I changed to the thurs group - Mondays Consultant didn't give them out.

I love my stickers and have mine on my fridge! I would like the rest of them though up to the two and a half stone one lol

Thanks Blodwen for the encouragement, I will be watching the GBBO tonight, but have promised myself a run, so I will be jogging on the spot whilst watching this so there will be no chance of picking!

Mildredd melting the Freddo sounds like a really good idea, they say putting a curly wurly in the freezer has the same effect taking you longer to eat it. I know if I had some Freddos in at the moment I'd be too impatient waiting for them to melt and would eat them there and then.

having an early dinner, then my run hopefully there will be no picking past 8pm tonight.
  • Curly wurly in the freezer is lovely! All my curly wurlys and freddos live in the freezer :)
Takes ages to eat a bar

Made mushy pea curry tonight n boy am I stuffed! Loads nicer than a jar or curry and chippy tea craving banished

Oh crap I've not had hexb either n I'm stuffed refusing to eat for sake of eating!!!

Evening all, some really good losses this week. Am totally in awe at some of the amounts as I was never a huge loser, mostly 1-1.5lb a week. Still got me to target though :D. Since I have been using MFP I have lost 4lb which Im impressed with. I like that the loss amount is always there in the corner of my screen reminding me how much I've lost, its really helps to keep me focussed. I know its not an exact science but it does make me think about portion control. Was slightly under daily amount today.

    Food today,
B - weetabix, scan bran, milk, coffee, water
    S - pear
    L - hm carrot & lentil soup, 3 cherry toms, apple/pineapple/activia
    S - velvet crunch [4.5], coffee
    T - lo pasta bol
    HEA - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - 4.5

Struggling a bit with tiredness and scatica is playing up too so really feel meh at the moment.
Keep up the good work with your challenge, you are all :A:A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Evening all! Well done to all doing well! And encouraging vibes for those struggling!

I have had another good day! Green again - and am enjoying it totally. I think I shall carry on how I am and if I don't see progress then will have to reassess. I can't remember who mentioned it (sorry skim read earlier) but I am not keen on offal. In fact, I am not the greatest meat eater! I do love fish though but that tends to be expensive.

I had coffee for breaky using HEA milk - i love my lattes and I can control it when making it at home so don't feel like I am missing out.

Had some grapes for mid morning snack

Leftover risotto for lunch (I can post the recipe if anyone wants it - it is a microwave one so really quick and simple to do). Used 1/2 HEA there.

Snacked on grapes again and more coffee. I also had 2 ryvita 1/2 HEB with portion of worth of philly light 2.5 syns I think.

For supper i have just had tagliatelle carbonara using the other half of the HEA portion (parmesan) and bacon as second HEB.

I know it's not the 'done' thing but I have quite often split my cheeses....don't do it with any other HEs because I just think they as long as you have half a portions worth of each, you're not going to go over. Then you can have more flavour variety.

I also got some of the laughing cow light blue cheese and they are yum. They're not really strong which was what I expected, but more creamy stilton flavour so I think they'll be ideal for adding to broccoli soup to make it more like my favourite New Covent Garden. They 1.5 syns per triangle and 4 triangles per HE. According to minimims.

I also had .5 syn of sugar in a coffee and an after eight at the hairdressers.
