3lbs off! Not eating much yesterday obviously did me good - just wish I could do that every day!!!
1lb away from Club 100 -
Morning all,
Hugs to all those that had bad days yesterday - hopefully things seem a bit better by this morning.
Blodwen - congratulations for calling your target - your weight loss has been amazing :j - I only had about a stone to lose and that seemed tough enough sometimes.
Thanks for adding me to the list Shala - my weigh-in day is a Monday so I shall report in for the challenge next week.
aero - your lunches do sound fairly varied but as Blodwen suggested, maybe try making a bit extra of certain dinners that are easy to take to work - I also take couscous/pasta salads with either some cold chicken or tuna & frittata is good cold for lunch too.
Frogga - your children are very lucky to have you as their teacher - your posts are inspirational and I feel sure you must be the same in your work :A.
Beanie - I know what you mean about the heating - far too early to put it on
Happy Tuesday everyone0 -

That's fantastic skintcatt and :Tto anyone that's seen the scales going the right way.
:jthat's brilliant being able to call target blodwen. It's a great feeling, so enjoy every minute. I know I'm loving it and that's two years down the line.:) I'd suggest you just keep going with your mix of SW/5:2/MFP and see what happens. You'll probably still lose and then you can re-set your target lower if you want BUT enjoy your holiday first!:D
Yesterday went fine, except for a handful of crisps I ate late last night. Should have gone to bed earlier.:(
Today is another meal out for another family birthday. It's one of those 'all you can eat' Chinese places. It's possible to be saintly as you can choose raw food and they stir fry it for you with minimal oil and a bit of soy and then have plain boiled rice. I will do that but I know I won't resist the spring rolls and then there'll be birthday cake and wine syns.
Oh well, I'll eat syn free until then and be as good as possible until next event on Saturday.
Hope nobody minds me rambling. I just need to think it all through and it helps to write it down.:)
Off to make a big pot of red cabbage for the freezer. I know that just cooking the apples makes syns but I tend to ignore that. I think it's something to do with breaking up the fibre but I get fibre in plenty of other ways.0 -
Well done Catt, you're doing brilliantly! Your previous posts and someone else's saying about how much they still have to lose reminded me of someone I weighed last night - she had a good loss and got her stone award but said "well I still have another 5 stone to lose". I thought like that at first but I wanted to say that I started off needing to lose 6-7 stone and by just plodding on each day and most importantly carrying on after bad days/weeks I have got there - all those little lbs add up and even counteract the 3/4/5/6 lbs on that I've had at times. I didn't say anything as was already getting enough attention and didn't want people to think I was rubbing it in, but just trying your best every day is the only way to do it. You (and everyone else) are doing so well so keep at it!
Thanks Maman and Sukey - I intend to keep going the way I have been, and just be sensible on holiday but still try a bit of everything. Last time we went (first time we've been all inclusive) we both had 2-3 plates at each meal and a fair few cocktails (although didn't drink much overall- that may change this time!) but neither of us put on weight. A bit of swimming may have helped but I think they key was having 3 meals a day and no snacks- we didn't know the all day snack bar was there but probably just as well as grazing all day would be my downfall. Going to try the same again this year but stick to 1 plate at each meal!
I haven't been to a Chinese buffet since starting SW, used to love them (often as a 'last supper' before starting a diet) and I would definitely make the most of it - would be interesting to see how I would fare now, not in a hurry to find out though. OH commented last week that we haven't been to one for ages, and I told him we're not about to find out, cue sulking :rotfl: You're lucky to have one that does healthy options though, don't think any of the ones I've been to have had that. Enjoy it anyway, plus the cake and wine, yum!2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

hmm for the 1st time since starting sw i actually had cereal for brekkie, i had no added sugar musili (so hex's used up already) and wished i hadn't bothered as i am bloody starving, maybe there is alot to be said for having eggs etc. is it healthy to eat eggs most days?
i seem to recall something about colesterol...
think i'm gonna have a go at some sort of frittata/omelette thingy for tea, need to actually get off my butt and cook, which is daft as i do enjoy cooking, have got a couple of the cook books from class,
starting to get fed up with salad, but unless its all cooked in together i don't actually like veg so hard to get enough sf food
well done to everyone on their losses :TLead us not into temptation...
just tell us where it is and we'll find it....0 -
Unless you have high cholesterol anyway you should be fine, think the thing about eggs being high has been largely forgotten about now. I love omelettes for breakfast at the weekend2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

You 'ramble' away Maman - we will listen. I used to really love the chinese buffet but I went back there after having a break of about 9 months or so (while I was losing weight) and found that it all tasted quite 'greasy' and left my tummy feeling a bit unsettled. It is amazing how your palette changes without you realising it. Your one does sound a bit healthier if you can have it cooked to order how you wish
Blodwen - I think your holiday food plan sounds great - and, even if you do put on a few pounds, you know that if you get straight back on the wagon they will disappear soon enough - the main thing is to enjoy your holiday
Congratulations skint_catt - 3lbs is brilliant - good luck for your club10 next week.0 -
