    Well I got weighed.....:eek::eek:

Oh well..onwards and upwards (well downwards in terms of figures)!

Had my morning coffee with most of my milk allowance. I make HM lattes but this is ok because I don't have cereals etc so shouldn't need it for anything else. Not sure what style of day to do just gonna keep it neutral until after lunch I think.

Can you still have ryvita style things as a HEB? And if so, which are the best/lowest syn/get the most for your HE? Just for those emergency times.

Good luck for the new week everyone!x

My friend has Finn crisp originals. You can have 6 of those for a HEB and she has them for lunch at work with half a pot of Lo-lo cheese.

:Tto all the losers. Like beanie, I'm not one this week. Please add my 3.5lbs gain to the list Shala. It'll serve as a reminder to keep me on track this week.

I've been awol for a few days, generally busy out and about. One more flexi meal tomorrow and then I should be able to really focus on the plan.

I've read through the weekend posts and remember one about weighing on a Wii. I don't but have heard that they're notoriously unreliable. Why not weigh at the gym or in Boots?

I'm strictly an EE person as it's the only plan I really know. I think I've had the odd green day but purely by accident.

My theory about the breakfast thing is that it's to stop you grabbing something like a chocolate bar mid-morning when you do feel hungry. If you have a plan for what you'll eat I don't think it matters much what time you have it.

Breakfast ideas rather depend on how much time you've got to prepare. If it's grab and go then frittata or cold sausages or ham or hard boiled eggs are easily done beforehand. With more time, it doesn't have to be a fry-up but any sort of eggs or baked beans are easy.

Today's going to be a really good EE day:

B: NAS Ribena, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: cold meat and LO veg
D: baked haddock, cauli/broccoli cheese with tomato and courgettes, new potatoes and maybe green beans too
    Syns: cheese sauce

Just before my holiday I did go below my target range but lots of people started to say I was looking to skinny - I know there are probably a few of you out there that would like to hear that but it is surprising how hard it is to maintain too! Also, losing weight can become a bit addictive and even though I knew I was below target I still found myself wanting to lose more :(.

I don't mean to 'rub anyones nose in it' so please accept my apologies for complaining about being too skinny :o

No need to apologise - you've worked hard to get there, and it must be difficult to 'be allowed' more for maintenance. I haven't got to target yet but although I kind of hope to be in the same predicament as you soon I know how addictive it can be - last time I lost a lot (the only time!) I only really wanted to get to a size 14 at first, but then a 12 fitted and I wanted to get into a 10, 10 came around and I wanted to lose a bit more etc. If people are starting to comment though (as long as they're not the jealous sabotaging type and you are happy with your target) it probably is time to really try not to lose any more :)

I was just thinking about the thing I went to yesterday and one of the questions the judges asked was people's favourite meals - mushy pea curry came up again and again and I realised I've never had it. I'll have to hide the ingredients from OH otherwise he'll never eat it, but think I might give it a go tomorrow night, and maybe make a curry loaf as well :)

Hi I haven't posted in a while but still read how you are all doing. Just thought I'd update if anyone is interested. Not sure if I'm the only male that ever posts on this thread !

I began on SW at the start of June at 12st 8.5lbs; with a view to trying to get to 11st 3lbs for my 50th birthday, which is at the end of October. I chose that as a target as it is at the top end of the 'healthy weight' for my height in the BMI charts and I thought it might be nice to hit 50 and not be overweight. I'm currently 11st 5.5lbs so I'm really pleased at how it's gone.

You may remember that my bf was having issues re having periods of not losing when sticking to the SW diet which was getting him a bit disheartened. It seems that that is just the way it goes for him. He'll have three weeks of maintained weight, then lose half a stone over a two week period. He's now lost 2 stone of a target loss of 7-8 stone. I keep having to reassure him that that is a great loss but those weeks where nothing comes off still get him down a bit.

As an aside I asked a while back if anyone had any good suggestions for sucky sweets for a long journey. We ended up getting Sula sugarless sweets which are really nice at 0.5 syn per sweet.

I must admit that I find SW EE fairly easy to stick to. I've pretty much sorted my nightly chocolate addiction from being a big pouch or large bar of something, to now just stealing a couple of Maltesars or a Quality Street from the boxes that my mam always has on the go when I visit her each night.

We still have a Chinese takeaway every fortnight or so, I still drink on a weekend, we've had a break away (lots of ice cream) and two weddings to go to (which involved copious amounts of alcohol and then naughty food the day after) and have still lost weight.

I find lunches when at work the most difficult to sort as I get a bit bored of the same things but, other than that, I'd highly recommend the EE diet to anyone.

Continued good luck to everyone !

Well done Mildredd and Aero, and you're well on track to hitting your target Aero. We have had a few males on here before but they have all disappeared along the way with quite a few other folk, maybe we scared them off?! :rotfl:

Enjoyed the cycle in this morning and looking forward to riding to fat club from work but I can hear the wind howling and when I went out earlier I was nearly blown over, so it should be...interesting!

Aaaghrrr - just gone to change my PAT to 7 stone (98lb) rather than 100 and realised I have one more lb to lose than I thought! :( So 5lb from tonight and next week's WI then, that'll be as much fun as cycling through a hurricane :rotfl:

Hi aero - what sort of lunches do you have - if you let us know some rough likes/dislikes & what facilities you have at work then maybe we can come up with some suggestions?

Hi, it depends on the week. Following a weekend when we've been to a wedding or something and I'm looking to just not put on I tend to have Scanbran with cottage cheese or Laughing Cow extra light cheese triangles. I always have several snacks such as Baked Stars, various pieces of fruit and a low cal jelly pot with me.

Today I had a ham and pease pudding sandwich (using my HBE) and the snacks mentioned above. Sometimes I'll bring in pasta with ham and salad or have a Mugshot or something similar. I have brought in home made soup before too.

To be fair, reading that, there is loads of variety :rotfl:

I think I just sometimes miss a Greggs sarnie with a pasty or a double chocolate muffin.
  • Hi again!

Not too bad a day. Ended up having grapes and a greek style lemon muller light which was extremely tast actually (0.5 syn I believ). Only had this because we went to see the in laws and they fed us! Ended up on a green day because I am going to make a mushroom rissoto later. Also going to try the broccoli and courgette soup on the recipe page but I am going to crumble a small amount of stilton in (synned of course)!

I was wondering if anyone had tried the light laughing cow blue cheese triangles? I thought these might be useful in future for soup additions.

I also agree with PP's re: red days being expensive - can anyone recommend cheaper red day meals at all please?

Also, please could I join the challenge. I know I am a week late but it would be motivator. If I can, I would like to aim for 5lbs please.
  • Mildredd -2.5lbs

Going to be honest I have mixed feelings about it
One hand I wanted to lose more and the other ive saved syns this week and its only week 2 of the plan - second weigh in- think maybe my big loss first week had made me a bit rose tinted about the speed it would come off on- consultant seemed to think that was a cracking amount as most people week 2 is normally 1lb off if the first week is a big loss? I'm not sure I'm convinced
But it was enough to get me a slimmer of the week sticker and certificate lol
My slimming buddy bailed on me today I think because it was raining :( so may be posting more ramblings on here

Question - is it okay to split hexas and hexbs eg - 1 slice of bread and 1 alpen light or half the cheese and half the milk?

My c today said one of her members followed the 7 day plan for a week and lost 6lbs :o

I have 13 syns left and I'm not afraid to use em just not sure on what yet x

Hope everyone's had a lovely Monday despite the weather xxx
