I haven't even written down what I've eaten today (until below!), but know I've gone over my syns thanks to lunch at parents - my Mom annoys me - she's my worst critic in terms of weight - sometimes being unbelivably cruel & !!!!!y - yet today 'oh have a piece of cake', 'one piece won't hurt, you'll still lose weight'!
B; Cheerio's (5 syns?) & SS Milk (HEa)
L; salad, ham/turkey but with a slice of yummy french bread (4?)& a samosa (6.5syns)2 chocs from a box my Dad produced from last Christmas (6?)
D; gammon, sw roast potato's, leeks & carrots
Can anyone with a low-carb diet please show me what you've eaten today? I think I may need to cut down as they just don't do me any good. I've already stopped bread, but scared to do without my SW Chips!
Hi Catt funny bit re low carb
Not sure what SW you going if its EE or what but maybe if you do the old fashioned red or green an obviously do the week of red I think you will be pleasantly surprised
Ill do the week of red with you As it's what I do anyway well apart from my meanders :rotfl:
That way still getting your carbs Nd go for the 2/3 plate of super free food and you will be amazed at outcome0 -
Thanks Magic - been doing EE since I restarted SW, but personally prefer Green as I'm a carb freak. Red costs a fortune though with all the meat - doesn't it?
C xx0 -
Well I am kind of prepared for tomorrow (well apart from the fact I need to go to Sainsbobs)!
I am planning on soups, brekky muffins. Lasagne's and risotto style things. And then fruit and greek style FF yogs for 'puddings'.
I have done SW many times and although I like the idea of EE, I am not sure I can get my head around it as much.
Just wondered what everyone else prefers?0 -

I'm a red girl because I just don't lose on green well what I mean is I'm better on low carb one so re where I get my carbs from hexb
I find red works best but using the upper express as in one third protein 2/3 super express but that is when being saintly
Please appreciate that like I said horses for courses as they say red works for me it's a body thing0 -

I'm doing a low carb thing because of gestational diabetes - not strickly SW friendly, but a few tweaks could make it work (original (red) days are really expensive in my opinion - I've always preferred green days because of the carbs & cheapness!)
B - Sausage & mushroom omelette with cheese
L - Vegetable soup with scan bran
D - Turkey stuffed with philli & wrapped in Parma ham, with baked sweet potato, cauliflower, broccoli, carrot & swede mash & roasted butternut squash
Tomorrow will be the same for breakfast - yawn! lunch will be soup & dinner will be spag Bol without the spag with a baked sweet potato
The rest of the week will be very similar - yawn! Can't wait to get the lil b*gger out so I can eat some normal food - looking forward to a strawberry milkshake, pineapple & some chocolate!0 -

Thanks. I have PCOS as well as my Fibro and I know carbs aren't the best for that. I do like the convenience of the carbs though so think may try and incorporate them but not in a huge way! First WI for me tomorrow...I am dreading it!!0 -

Mildredd, could you have some sort of egg muffin thing, like an individual frittata that you could cook a batch of to have each day?
Or even some ham and cheese - or I had an apple and cheese the other day for brekkie, it was lovely!Hi Catt,
It might be the amount of caffeine they contain.
Diet Coke 3.8mg/fl oz
Coke Zero 2.8
Diet Pepsi 2.9
Pepsi Max 5.8
Typical, why is my favourite the one with the most caffeine! no wonder i'm addicted.Skint_Catt wrote: »Thanks Magic - been doing EE since I restarted SW, but personally prefer Green as I'm a carb freak. Red costs a fortune though with all the meat - doesn't it?

Do you like to cook? - shepherds/cottage pie(with carrot and swede mash), veg stir fry (without noodles)or chicken/beef/veg stew is all relatively cheap but it's never going to be as cheap as pasta.. and you could always add loads of veg to bulk it out..
Good luck for tomorrow Anon x I prefer green and reds but that's cos I don't really like veg much... you could always mix it all up though, keep it varied!
Well the food festival was lovely today and I've eaten far too much breadand a big bag of crisps, oh and a pork bap but tomorrow is a new day..
good luck for the new week xMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
