    Thanks again.

I appreciate the tip re: breakfast but I am of the belief it isn't what it's cracked up to be. I read a lot of info on intermittent fasting and apparently just by not eating breakfast does not slow your metabolism down...you would need to go for days before this happened. Obviously everyone has their own ideas re this but if i eat breakfast then I end up ravenous again by mid morning. If i wait until I am actually hungry, I feel much better!

I also believe different things work for different people and there will be plenty who benefit from eating breakfast. Just working on my meal plan!

Yes, I'm the same - once I've started eating, even if it's at 6am I am casting around for biscuits etc by 8. I usually put breakfast off until later (Lunch!) as I don't eat until I'm really hungry. A few cups of tea is fine until then.

Am so tired & fed up!

What's the difference between Diet Coke & Coke Zero? Thanks for the head's up on the Sainsbugs deal :)

B; fruitsalad & yoghurt (getting a bit bored of this now, but it's quick & superfree!)
    L; superfree soup
D; chilli beef noodles from the SW website - not a lot of flavouras I don't like soy very much!

Like Pepsi max and diet Pepsi (although a college lecturer once told me Pepsi max was aimed at men who didn't want to be seen as on a diet so they branded it max ;) could be a lie but it sounded good at the time )

  • Been up since 5am as the kitten decided that my toes were fierce mice that she needed to catch and kill.

I must say I found this weekend really hard as I am on Dry September (no booze) and Friday night was really hard to get through after a long week. Feel so good that its Sunday morning though and I've been an angel all weekend! Actually looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!

Really enjoying this thread - tis an inspiration

Should have posted this last night ~

Breakfast~ baked beans on opened wholemeal roll (HEB) with 6 mushrooms & 1 poached eggs & grated cheese (HEA) on top sitting on a huge bed of leaves

    Snack ~ banana

Lunch ~ corn on cob, pickled beetroot, pickle onions, gherkins, radish, toms, cucu, houmous (HEB)

    Snack ~

Tea~ mash, Hm spicy chili beans (spicy beans, toms, onions, celery,) cauli, broc, carrots, swede, peas, french beans & butter beans

    Ff yog

    Evening Treat ~ Curly Wirly

    Dog Walk ~ 2 miles

    Bike Ride~ 0 miles

but then at 8.30 I had...
2 large chocolate chip cookies and about 20 toffees/ eclairs/ caramel sweets. Maybe it was 25. Possibly 30 :o

But I'd been good ALL WEEK and I had been sitting there since 6pm wanting and resisting, and leaving the room, and feeling fed up, then brushing my teeth, and moping, then feeling anrgy, then sad, then I even contemplated bed, at 8.30! Just to avoid the goodies!! Then I thought 'oh for heavens sake, just have some'! I'm not perfect. I wanted a treat. And I had one. Or two ;)

    so today's another day...

Sounds like some of us had a tough night, me included... Mr Ben & Mr Jerry came round :o

But i've weighed and my first weeks loss is 0.5lb so the positives are - I've not put on this week, which I usually would have!!!

I'm to a food festival today so who knows what will happen, but tomorrow is another day and back on track I shall be!!

    Who's gonna join me??

Good luck for today everyone :j

6 Week Awesome in Autumn Challenge Day 7 Week 1

    Sunday 15th September

So we got to the end of Week One. Some did brilliantly :j Others struggled :grouphug: but none of us are bad people, we just like our food. This is our issue. So shoot us

Today is 100 days until Christmas. I have no religion, but my Christian friends are happy for me to share in the Family Holiday Season. The big feast. And so although we are all in the 6 Week Challenge, let us focus today on the long term goal. 100 days until Christmas.

Will we be sitting here in 100 days time posting about our immense success? Enjoying the festivities with our families. Feeling great. Looking great. Feeling proud. Showing our children who have been away at uni just what we're made of?

Or will we be drowning our sorrows in a vat of puddings, cake and chocolate. Not joining in. Sitting in the background. Making excuses. Avoiding the camera. Not wearing a new dress. Feeling uncomfortable in what we could find in the wardrobe that looked passable?

The choice is ours isn't it. We are the only ones who can sort this out. We are the ones who chose to behave the way we do.

    100 days. Make them count.
