    Hi
A friend has just brought me some chicken pie made with shortcrust pastry fresh chicken many sins please lol

Put it in the freezer or give it away. Pies are Devil's Food!!

Anon I use ordinary sunflower or corn oil in a spray, you hardly need any esp if you use non stick pan or tray. If I need a bit more, I just syn it. Def worthwhile.
  • Thanks again.

I appreciate the tip re: breakfast but I am of the belief it isn't what it's cracked up to be. I read a lot of info on intermittent fasting and apparently just by not eating breakfast does not slow your metabolism down...you would need to go for days before this happened. Obviously everyone has their own ideas re this but if i eat breakfast then I end up ravenous again by mid morning. If i wait until I am actually hungry, I feel much better!

I also believe different things work for different people and there will be plenty who benefit from eating breakfast. Just working on my meal plan!
  • can i sneak in and join please.
1st time doing sw (tried ww and numerous other diets before)
my weigh in is mon eve and in 3 weeks i have managed to lose 9.5lb, if i manage another 1.5 this week i will be down in the next stone bracket which will be amazing.
at the mo i am suprised at how simple it is, loving the lack of counting and weighing everything.(will prob be eating my words 1st week i have a wobble) and amazed at how quickly my eating habbits have changed, i haven't had bread since i started as i find it doesn't fill me up and makes me want more and more, where as ryveta does the trick..
not set a target as such but going stone by stone, want to be able to get into size 12 jeans and 16 tops instead of 16 jeans and 20 tops
Can you sneak in borderlakland no chance come into a fanfare :rotfl:

What a brilliant start congratulations and this is a fantastic thread with a lovely eclectic bunch who will all
Be more than happy to help advise encourage scold etc etc whatever is needed

    Hi all

Got to tell you re costco visit

Got into costco mobile went knew it was work American customer trying to hear him next thing Pow

I fell faster than a skittle I had been knocked over by one of their big high trolleys with goods on they use for moving things inside shop

I went down like a sack of potatoes on my butt but did not drop phone Then had a go at client telling him it was his fault for calling me at 730 on Friday night

OH was off wandering did not even know it happened and said have you reported it what If you really hurt you need to log it I then turned with my medusa smile and said thanks for asking if I'm ok Poor OH he was on hiding to nothing

Felt sorry for poor costco guy it was mistake I made no fuss but needed
Ce cream afterwards which was basically a cup ful of ice cream so screwed up today

    Every bone in body Bruised

and feeling sorry for myself ah well Could be worse at least nothing broken apart from today's good intentions

Ooh that sounds painful. Make sure you take it easy over the next few days because often these things can be delayed. I think I would have had the whole tub of ice cream after that!!

Mildredd - I believe you should have between 5 and 15 (but usually 10) syns but I don't think it matters too much if you are eating plenty of other 'good' stuff. I used to save a lot of my syns for a weekend when I did it years ago and it worked. I think they only advise you to avoid that so as you don't get back into the 'binge' mentality that brought a lot of people to SW in the first place. You could always try and if it doesn't work, try something different.

Edited to add - i meant it doesn't matter if you don't have any syns if you are eating plenty. So long as you aren't depriving yourself which might lead you to binge IYSWIM?
