Aw - sending you a big hug!!

I have bad arthritis and spend a lot of time housebound so I do empathise.

Have to say my pain level has gone down a notch these last few days........which probably confirms what I have always thought, which is bread and/or butter somehow irriates my joints.

And regarding the new pots, I would say a big :T to you for not adding a packet of butter, cos thats what I would have done :o and a lot of nutrients and fibre in new pots if you have the skin, so all in all, thats a big thumbs up

    :D

I am not doing very well at all today. Whilst making scones I have eaten three!! Just testing them. Luckily they are small, nowhere near the size of shop bought scones. Does anyone know how many syns they are likely to be?

D; egg beans and SW chips
    fruit salad
Semi skimmed milk in tea (HEA)

I have managed to lose my SW books, syn book too. I must have put them somewhere safe when I had a clear out before I was ill. Just hoping I didn't take them to the charity shop.

I got my 1.5 stone award today 1lb off, will try harder next week. I knew I couldn't stay to group so didn't have the added incentive of having my weekly result read out in group! Think I'll try the magic porridge or I read that if you soak in water overnight it tastes as good as when made with milk - anyone tried this?

My husband always makes porridge fresh with water (and salt - a true Scot :o ), he says it's just as good.

How do you present it? I don't have a punch bowl I had to sell it when I had to let the servants go! Tee hee I have a dowton abbey obsession
It usually has mint leaves and fruit in it
Maybe jugs with lids and placky glasses from £1 shop
Oh how posh and civilised lol
We have a couple of glass jugs available in the hall we use for group so used those. Took a load of ice cubes with me as well in a tub. We also have plastic mugs we can use, not as good as glass but OK.

Been on holiday and gained 2 lbs. Haven't been on for a few weeks but have gained a pound here, half pound there for a few weeks prior to hols too. :(

That means in over a year I have lost only 1st 2.5 lbs. This is not good.

I am a bit miffed because I don't drink alcohol so had none on hol. I didn't even have an icecream and I made sure I ate plenty of salads. Didn't snack between meals but I was using an odd teaspoon of sugar in coffees. I did also have a tiny breakfast roll most mornings and sometimes a croissant. I don't normally eat pastry or bread so that's my own fault.:( So no serious over-eating but it does prove how quickly little bits can add up.

:)Thats nice, a special book, thats my kind of planning.
do you live alone ? and why dont you do a main shop at weekends?

I do usually shop at weekends (well I have my shopping delivered) but because I have had some busy weekends recently, I've not had chance to fit in the delivery. I do need to get more organised. I subscribe to the Mr T Delivery saver and this time round, its hardly been used.

Change from my mealplan already! Instead of cereal and milk (HEA&HEB) I am having the potato saute from the 100 EE days book. I'm actually having a Green day but this recipe fits with it anyway.

For anyone interested it's Frylighted leftover sliced potatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and egg. I'm really looking forward to it as it's something different to anything I usually have.

It's LO bean casserole for lunch and Spanish chicken (chicken - HEB + 3 syns for chorizo) for dinner tonight.

    This sounds yummy!
