Thanks for the advise yesterday about free or low syn snacks DH could take to work!!
We nipped to Sainsbobs 1st thing and he has gone off with a bag of stuff he can dip into if needed.....
Mug shots, couscous etc as well as ff yogs, fruit and more magic porridge.
He is planning on weighing tomorrow and says he will be well impressed if he can eat so much and still lose a bit, so fingers crossed that SW does the trick!0 -
Skint_cat.. I usually briskly walk to work and back 20mins each way for two days. However we have a treadmill at home and have been using that now and then. I quote honestly thought it was that that was slowing the weight loss due to my body replacing fat with fluid that can happen apparently at first. So will continue and see if this old bod will give in to this new regime and drop the lard!
Fozzie... What is magic porridge?”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Don't know what to have for lunch
Got loads of veg, a bit of fruit & some salad, but nothing defrosted to go with any of it except dry tuna & I don't fancy that
Really want a good loss this week so have to have my superfree

Magic porridge is when you soak oats overnight in yog, usually with added fruit.
I use 25 or 30g of dry oats (HEB), mixed with a ff yog and a handful of fruit (I usually have frozen berries) - it swells up overnight and goes creamyish.
Very tasty and filling.
Actually, I am just going to have a bowl for lunchSkint_cat.. I usually briskly walk to work and back 20mins each way for two days. WI for me this morning- 3.5lb down, slimmer of the week and i won the raffle!
I thought I had lost more according to my own scales. I thought I might lose more the first week especially as I did a killer session at the gym yesterday but still I have made a start, now I need to keep at it!
I learnt today that you can use the tefal actifry with no oil, which I didn't know. I haven't used it for months, but may try slimmingworld chips in it, as when I do them in the oven they come out like cardboard for me
The big treat for me last night, and one I will repeat, is the fat free Greek yoghurt with strawberries and 2 crumbled meringue shells ( the small asda ones- 15 calories each) stirred through it. I was told today that is only 2 syns! Yummy!
Today:
Brunch
2 eggs cooked with leftover new potatoe slices, made into a sort of frittata/Spanish omelette with mushrooms and tomatoes . 2 quorn bacon rashers ( never again- yuck!)
Not sure about this evening- probably salmon and rice or pasta with a salad.Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0 -

I know it isn't the weather for it but how about making soup with the veg. Plus you can make a lovely mock ham and pea with
Tatty ageing lettuce, onion, ham stock cube and a handful of peas cover with water then
Boil it up until soft (it will look yuk like a pond at this stage) until you blend it up and add a swirl of yoghurt to serve
I've posted this on other threads before and some hated this or loved it.
Another one:
Tinned tomato then fill empty tin with water and add to pan, onions and carrots plus chicken stock cube boiled up until veg soft then blended its a bit like heinz tomato soup”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Thanks - don't have time to do that, but might try it at the weekend!
Will just sit at the fridge & eat I think! Feeling a bit fed up today, though not sure why.0 -

Me too I've boiled up some new potatoes for tonight's tea
And most of them gone!
Just can't be filled up today.
An arthritic knee flare up is stopping me going out of house
So I have put myself to bed with a book!”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)

Hello everyone,
I am a new/old member!
Nice to see some familiar names on this thread still from last time I was on.
I was a member a couple of years ago, lost a stone and got bored. Put it all back on (and more!) when I quit.
Last night I bite the bullet and rejoined. The consultant seemed really supportive so I am quite positive about it all.
Havent been shopping yet so had to improvise in the small marks at the station this morning - here is my food so far;
B- tall skinny latte starbucks - 5, fruit salad
L - mexican chilli chicken slices - 1, 2 satsumas
to have later;
D - probably mushroom stir fry
Hea - Primula (will have to check the amount at home later)
Heb - allinson batch bread 1 slice
Going to do a big shop tonight so should have better food tomorrow!0
