Oh I have a question because well my consultant rushed off at the end today
If my dinner is mainly free and I'm planning on having super free as a fruit after am I better eating it first before dinner so I'm full of super free and likely to not eat as much free or after ? Slimming buddy and I disagreed this morning and I don't wanna be wrong
I'd say eating suprefree over free is a better bet every time.
If you're on EE then you shouldn't be having a 'free' meal anyway but at least a third suprefree. So if the fruit afters is the SF part of the meal you mustn't leave it out. If you mean the whole meal is too much for you then definitely eat the SF and leave some of the free part.
Incidentally although a third suprefree isn't 'mandatory' on Green or Original I still think it's a good idea. When you think that people losing weight in other ways (5:2 or MFP) are keeping calories low then SF has to make sense. Plus they add to a healthy 5+ a day.0 -

Morning all on train on way into office do apologies in advance for typos
Probably scan bran for breakfast but that may change
Weigh in tonight first night back after holiday
Skintcatt best of luck for today
Everyone else have an awesome autumn challenge day :-)0 -
there would be no point in that as it would give a 'false reading' wouldn't it
Just eat normally, and if you weigh at the same time every week, then you'll see a difference. This is the danger of the scales. I know this problem all too well. Try hard to just stick to once a week.
Agreed, I have made this mistake too. Don't weigh yourself more than the once a week, same day, same time. I wear roughly the same outfit every WI day too.
1lb off this week, don't think I quite got the 1/3 superfree everyday this week. I bought the Little Book of Lunches and made lots of recipes thinking I'd be fine, they're free recipes! Doh, didn't think about the veg content of them....
Aiming for 2lbs this week. Any loss will be new numbers though0 -

Mum is still in hospital but is recovering as well as can be expected. They did say she might come home today but has had very bad nose bleed so kept her in, too many blood thinners. Maybe out tomorrow.
Food;
B - weetabix, scan bran (1), milk, coffee, water
S - pear
L - 2x wm bread, cheese, toms, ltl mayo (1), plum toms, apple x2, activia
S - coffee, velvet crunch (4.5)
T - pasta Bol, lean mince, mushrooms, carrots, onions, passatta, pasta shells
HEA - milk, cheese
HEB - weetabix, bread + 4.5
Syns - 11
MFP - over by 56 cals. Only a guide as just having 2 apples & activia took me over my sugar allowance. Have lost nearly 3 pounds since using app though so is helpful.
Big good luck vibes for the autumn challenge :A:A
Sometimes I think people just don't know what to say so say nothing which is worse than saying anything at all !
I have been through a similar situation to yourself and no how it feels but like me you'll get through it. Chin up and stay positive though I know it is very hard. You are absolutely amazing for still following SW though - my head was all over the place and I would have gave up at the first hurdle so I think your an inspiration.
I use MFP just roughly and try and keep to the 1200 cals - always over at least two days in the week generally at the weekend - quite massively! My sugar is always over as well - around the 40g mark. Its very hard to keep it down whereas carbs I wouldn't have a mission of going over - I'm always over on protein as well massively.
However I do think it does help me with portion control etc0 -
My Menu for today
B: Muller & 25g Oats (HE)
L: Lettuce, 2 x Boiled Egg, 2 Trimmed Slices of Bacon, 2 x Cheese (HE), Pepper, Tbls Branston (3)Pork Chop, Onion, Mushroom, Brocoli, 30g Brown Rice
S: Hi Fi Bar (3), Mango, Melon & Pineapple Slice
Syns (6)0 -
Maman I meant when the meals say - fish sw chips and mushy peas? Like in the pack etc? Peas aren't super just free and I can't eat salad with that so I said I'd have a bowl of pineapple as a starter before the meal so I had my super free and then could eat the meal and leave free if full? My friend reckoned pineapples a pud so eat it after?
Or example two? If I'm having a sandwich for lunch with salad on etc i worry its not enough super free so would have fruit before it to make sure I get at least a 1/3 in and then can leave a bit of sandwich if I'm full but still have my super free ?
In my head it makes senseI know the key to ee working is the 1/3 super free so in my head if there's a chance I won't eat the 1/3 after then I eat it before so its definately in
think I'm a weirdo
But yeah my friend says eat the free meal and then snack on fruit later as and when hungryStarted sw 02/09/13 - total loss so far -5st 1lb
