No these do not count as a Healthy Extra as they do not contain enough fibre, someone in group asked this a week or so ago. As you say the only Special K bars that count are the chewy delight bars (which I have to say are my favourite bars, after they discontinued the Fibre Plus bars)

Thanks Becks. I synned it, but it wasn't very nice, I'll stick with Alpens and the Chewy ones :D

Well I've just weighed myself and the 2 lb I'd lost 2 days ago has gone back on
Weigh in on Monday and I think it may be a waste of time!! Feeling poop

I never weigh at home. As frogga said there are so many random variations across a week that it's just demotivating and depressing. I'd suggest you either just have your official WI at your group or have a designated time at home (or in Boots or somewhere) if you're 'going it alone'. I don't have any home scales and use my clothes as a guide. I've heard of people who put their scales away in some inaccessible place (loft?) to stop themselves taking sneaky peeks.

Do you all not eat the day of weigh in?

I think what matters is that you try to control all variables so that when you do weigh it's under similar conditions every time. My WI is first thing in the morning so I try to have a similar breakfast (it's my one day a week when I have cereal) and wear similar clothes. Others in my group put their breakfast off until after WI and then sit through Image Therapy chomping. Evening WI people often put off supper until after. Basically, I'm saying make your choice and stick to it.

    EE day planned here:
B: NAS Ribena, fried egg, mushrooms, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: haven't worked that out yet but likely to be fruit unless I'm really hungry
D: gammon, new potatoes, cauli&broccoli cheese with tomatoes and courgettes, carrots
Syns: squirt of sauce, cheese sauce, weekend wine:)

Quite high on syns but I save them up specially for weekends.

Gammon is bubbling away happily in SC and I'm planning to make lentil soup from stock. I haven't had HM soup for a few months but now the weather's cooling down I fancy some for lunches.

Tricky week coming up: I'm out for supper at a friend's for her birthday tomorrow and then carvery with some colleagues on Tuesday. Outside those occasions I'll be saintly.:D

hi all.. I'd like to join your merry gang is that's ok..

I started trying to eat healthily after last Xmas, and thought I could lose a couple of stone in a few months, however, 8 months later and I've only lost 6lbs  I'm a big giver-up-erer unfortunately but now I'm properly fed up of looking like a blimp in all my clothes so I'm setting myself a 1.5-2 stone target by this Xmas!

I'm too embarrassed to join class again after the 5th time so I'm going it alone, I know what to do but putting into practice is the hard bit isn't it?!?:o I do have access to the website as OH is a target member, but I don't find it as useful as Google & minimins!:rotfl:

So my starting weight was 14.7 in Jan this year, and a weigh in this morning showed me at 14.1. If I could join your six week challenge then my target will be 8lbs which would bring me down to 13.7 - that would be an amazing start!

Menu for today (i'm mostly old school red and green btw)

    Green
B - "fried" potato scallops with a blob of sauce (2)
L - one slice wm (Heb) cheese (Hea) crisps (4.5)
T - homemade mac cheese, turkey meatballs (Heb, Hea + 3 syns for the sauce) roasted veg, broccoli and possibly fruit salad for afters with FF yog
    S - none as yet

    onwards and downwards..
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

    Hi Shala-moo
welcome delighted to have you among our the gang
and when it comes to the 6 week challenge the more the merrier :T
It does make a big difference if you not going to class having something like his thread to give the extra focus and make you realise all the trials and tribulations you going through are not unique that lots of other people are too :)
I think it makes big difference and is a great help I hope you find that too

Welcome home Magic :kisses3: and welcome Shala Moo

Can't wait to start the 6 week challenge in the morning. I'll be weighing in then and I'm aiming for 6lb. Don't want to go mad and then be dissappointed. A pound a week is good :D See how restrained I've become?? ;) Think we should all be fantastic at this challenge, we're all up for it :j

What shall we call the challenge? 6 Week 'Not anywhere near Xmas Challenge' is a bit long? 6 week September and a bit of October challenge? 6 week just do it challenge? Hmmm

    Thanks a million Frogga

How about the super thread superstars challenge ?

I'm easy with whatever we call it I agree that a pound a week is really good and you are dead right it's the right way to do it I will have a rethink tonight for the very reasons you mentioned in your message

I am away the end of November which is 11 weeks away and wanted a stone by then so I reckon I will say ten in the six but that includes weight put on this week which will disappear once normal service food wise resumes :j
