Morning Ladies
Don't all shout at once but I'm gonna do a 5;2 fasting day today if you know what I mean? I just felt like giving it a try. I've listened to all the opinions, and I feel strong enough to just do it for a day. I know what I'm having ~
apple 50 cals
melon 100 cals
raspberries 100 cals
Mugshot 166 cals
stir fry 100 cals
That's just over 500 for the day. My friend also fills up on diet coke and black tea. Oh God, Mr Helpful will be on here in a minute lecturing about aspartame :T Can't wait
I'm NOT encouraging anyone else to do it, I just fancy a 'one off' go at it that's all. Don't panic, I feel strong enough, I won't binge tomorrow I promise.
As an aside, Tadpole 1 has her driving test today. She is very likely not to pass as she just doesn't feel like she is ready, but the instructor says she is? We'll see.
Have a good day allSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Frogga - good luck with that. I'm curious about it too but think I'll stick to what I'm doing for now.
Well guess what I got my 3 stone cert last night. So glad to finally get it. :rotfl:
Think it has totally done me some good as I was getting into the habit of going for a takeaway after WI and I didn't do that last night.
So pleased to get it - although I don't really see where the three stone has come off from - but it takes the mind a little while to catch up with the body doesn't it. I know this from experience.
So I'm officially at my half way to target stage. 3 stone off in 5 months plenty of little bumps along the way but so happy to be here.
I'm aiming for 2 lb off this week - 10lbs for the 6 week challenge and dream would be to have 2 stone off by 25th December.
I'm now in the 13st club which may still sound a lot but for someone who started in the 17st club its great.
Does anyone else think like me in that they wonder why on earth they let themselves get so big? Or they didn't even realise that they were so big in the first place:mad:
The turning point for me was went a went out on a night out with some friends to a bar (not something I do often as I usually entertain at home and go to friends houses) or to concerts and things. They were all in lovely wee dresses I of course was in a tent of a top and felt so self conscious and then I saw the photos!! I had a face like a balloon:eek: still is a bit like a balloon just a smaller one now:rotfl:
Still at least it happened and gave me the kick up the !!! that I needed!! :rotfl:
Wishing everybody good luck for this week - this wee forum is great to post on and get your thoughts down for the day.0 -
frogga~Even if she doesent pass(which of course I hope she does) it is all good experience.

I'm kicking myself for over indulging at my daughter's housewarming/birthday party last weekend. I had two pounds left to lose to get my first stone award and last night's WI proved I had over indulged; I lost just one-and-half pounds
.
Still, I should be able to do that this week if I just eat a lettuce leaf every day :rotfl:

lantanna - with you all the way - I had no idea that I was getting so big or WAS so big by my heaviest - yet I'm always comparing myself to other people while I'm out & hubby always says I'm not that big!!! I always joked I had the opposite of anorexia in that I'd look in the mirror & think I'm thin (well 'ok' anyway!) which is why I didn't feel I needed to do anything!
I've stuck a picture up in my kitchen of when I was a size 12 (I was 15... lol) & that's my aim!! I really should stick a picture of my heaviest up there just to shame me.
B; slice of malt loaf(4.5)
L; savoury rice
D; chilli & rice (with onion, mushrooms, peppers)

Stitching Witch !! 1.5 lbs is very good. I'd be happy to have that every week!
Skint-Catt you've inspired me! I might stick the offending photo up on the fridge. It will have to be removed however when anybody comes round lol0 -

Couldn't have said it better myself - even when chatting to other people they couldn't believe i weighed as much as i did/do - they always estimate about 4/5/6 stone less than i am - even a lady at SW was surprised that i weigh what i do & thought i weighed 6 stone less than i am (ok it might be a bit more difficult to judge due to carrying a baby)
Only when i got to my biggest (not including now) & when i was struggling with clothes was that i realised that i needed to do something about it - in a way i am glad i am tight as a ducks a*** (thats what my grandad says :rotfl:) because i refuse to spend a fortune on clothes - had a massive debate with family the other day on the price of knickers - they laughed at me when i said i thought you could get knickers for less than £1 a pair - they spend between £5 & £20 a pair  to me it doesn't seem right!
Anyone still do the old skool original days? I've been diagnosed with gestational diabetes yesterday & thinking of ultilising the original (red) plan as it reduces carbs - trying to figure out snacks which is hard when im limited with fruit (only 5 grapes at a time ) as of the sugars - i've already figured out that rice, wholemeal bread & possibly peanut butter or milk effects my sugar levels quite badly
Well done to all you losers0
