Morning Maman and gang.
No, I have my tea black. I don't need something with it like a choccy bar or biscuit thought, I possibly drink 20 or more cups of black tea a aday. Certainly that many at weekends

Weigh in for me tonight. Fingers crossed I get that 3 stone award (finally)
Think I'll set my 6 week challenge for 10 lbs. I would love to say a stone but want to be realistic. Anything over 10 would be a great big bonus!!
I want to be two stone down by Christmas - so that would set me along nicely.
Everyone keep everything crossed for me tonight:rotfl:
Welcome to the newbies andkeep going to the oldies.

I'll be joining in with the six week challenge. Just lowered my target, put on a lb, which was still below original target. Lowered to 9st 7lb, so a further 10lb to go.0

Welcome Cacher and HMC :hello:[/COLOR][/FONT]
Really enjoyed the discussion on 5;2. I've been thinking that as I lost 12lb doing SW in the 6 week summer holls, and my friend lost 1 stone doing 5;2, then if I did both at the same time I could lose 1st 12lb in the next 6 weeks :j That's bound to work
:rotfl: Actually some people on the 5:2 FB page do combine the 2, just 5 days of SW and 2 fast days, and they say it ensures their losses at SW are consistent, but to me it kind of defeats the object of 5:2 - I am happy to eat healthy SW like food most of the time but wouldn't be that keen on counting syns etc at the same time.Oh, for goodness sake! How can a piddly little jam doughnut be 9.5 syns? Well, too late now..
Could I ask what are people's favourite thing to have with cup of tea? This is my downfall (and it's not usually a jam doughnut!)
I like to have something like a Freddo or a Rocky in the evenings, as I too find a cuppa (usually coffee in my case) too wet without something. Another nice little treat I found was the YooMoo frozen yogurt - Aldi had the single pots of choc and vanilla and I think they work out at about 8 syns - sounds a lot but it is surprisingly difficult to tell them from ice cream, and I think a tub of ice cream for 8 syns isn't bad
Right, just on a quick break during a very busy day and will be off to get the train to London later before heading off to French France tomorrow, so have a fab weekend everyone and 'see' you all on Tues2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]

Anyone on here got an underactive thyroid? Having had trouble concieving the Drs are doing bloods for amongst other things thyroid problems. It would certainly explain that I could sleep 12-15 hours a day without a problem, the depression & weight gain anytime I so much as look at food.
Anyway, until I get the results;
B; Hi-Fi bar (1/2 HEb), fruit salad & yoghurt - getting into a bit of a rut, but I love it so!
L; Dynorod soup
D; Spaghetti Carbonara (2 syns)
S; will have a Babybel (1/2 HEa) & my other Hi-Fi bar (1/2 HEb) with a cuppa tonight with hubby0 -

Oh, poor you skintcatt. That's tough.:) Obviously, if you do have a thyroid problem they can give you medication but the best way to get your weight down is to eat healthily. So, good on you.:T
Have a lovely break Blodwen.
I've been to WI this morning and lost 3lbs, that's since WI 2 weeks ago. I know I've been extra good since the weekend but I had some flexi syns when I was away so didn't expect that. I think that having got to my natural target weight, I must return to it easily so long as I eat properly. I'm now just 1 lb inside the bottom of my target range, so 2lb below target. So my plan for the 6 weeks will be to stay there whatever the provocation!!
EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 Weetabix HEB, HEA milk
L: I'm making a frittata at some point to will have to sample that and meantime I'll snack on blackberriesmini roast with chicken portion, roast potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots
Syns: HM gravy and a square of 70% chocolate
Our consultant is on holiday and the one that covers for her is sooo much better. If it wasn't that I've made lots of friends in this group and the time suits me I'd move groups in a flash. We had a really good discussion on tips and ideas this morning plus she has a really good stash of packaging for free/low syn easy meals/nibbles.
I'm going to try the Asda Sweet Chilli Cod. It's free and for £2 will make a good, quick standby. I do try to do most of my cooking from scratch but it's good to have easy stuff in the freezer for CBA days. Anyone got good stand-by meals to share I'd love to hear.0 -
Maman you are an inspiration. Can't wait to be able to post that :A
Catt, not sure what a thyroid is but I bet mine is as lazy as yours because my kids and Mr Frog are devils so go figureSay it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

Hi Catt - I have an underactive thyroid (I have zero thyroid function) which was only diagnosed when I didn't conceive.
I didn't realise how bad I felt until I got it fixed, then I realised all the things I'd been excusing were symptoms (for example I was always sitting on radiators as I couldn't get warm, thought that was just being cold through from motorbike, or putting on weight just thought I was getting lazy and fat) In retrospect, I felt terrible, sluggish and low and mushy-brained.
It was easy to diagnose and simple to treat which is good news if that's what you have, and I did get pregnant about six months later. Good luck, if you want any more info I'm happy to chat.0 -
Thanks Inazuma - haven't really thought about any questions so far as it's only one thing they're testing, but really really happy to hear you concieved after getting it sorted out
I'm really desperate to get pregnant, but then I think about my weight loss & wish I could get it all gone before I do! lol
