Sadly, you know by 10.30 a.m. it'll feel like you've never been away. Hope all goes well for you, frogga and anyone else going back to school.:)
My main concern was my hair colour but not been sacked....yet
Felt like a long day with nothing accomplished as in meeting then went through stuff with new teacher - lunch then another meeting then rest of afternoon spent in IT training on active primary softwear [which I already know] then playing on ipads [which I already know] so all in all bit of a wasted day. Hope day 2 inset is more productive.
Well done all you losers, keep it up :A:A
Be back later with food menu. Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Now, don't all shout at me at once, but....
...a lady at school has been doing the 5;2 diet. She lost 1 whole stone in the holidays. She said she has 500 cals on two days of the week, and eats quite badly the other 5 days? She's an old hand at SW and she said the 5;2 is the best thing she ever did.
She said on the 500 Fasting days she has melon for brekkie, mugshot for lunch and salad for tea. Interested to hear what you all think. I'm not sure I should have a go as you know I have a history of eating dissorders so I don't think starving myself again would be very sensible, but I am temptedI wouldn't stuff on the 5 days, just do normal SW Green like always.
Don't shout or tell me off, you know you love me and I'm just asking
Frogga, I tried this a few months ago as I had SW fatigue and I found it quite tough, plus having the permission to eat anything on the 5 days was madness to me and I just shovelled everything in. I think if you were a healthy-but-big-appetite person it would be fine but I just took it as permission to binge on 5 days as long as I cut right back on 2.
I didn't lose anything, perhaps a pound or two, and now I am right back where I started. It's hard to sustain, plus what are you supposed to do when you get to the weight you want to be? If you keep 5:2-ing, you will keep losing but I don't think there was a maintenance plan.
SW has it's faults but it is definitely a healthy way to change eating habits for life.0 -
Yes I think you are all right  I'm doing ok so why change things? I'll just keep going, it was tempting though
I'd just like to get it off quicker, you know what an impatient Frog I am. But, slow and sure wins the race

Playing devil's advocate here, but if you want to try it Frogga, then go try it - give yourself a week - weigh at the beginning & at the end & see, but your friend only lost 2lbs more than you & that could have been water on the particular day she weighed!
I always think that trying other 'diets' makes you appreciate the amount you can eat on Slimming World - if that's what you need, go for it!
I feel so in control (all of a sudden!) that it's untrue! Maybe I just needed to let goMy Dynorod soup/stew looks amazing & I'm really looking forward to it for lunch tomorrow.
B; none - had WI
L; a little leftover savoury rice after DD had finished & then jacket potato with beans & cheese (hea)
D; pasta bake (cheese hea) with a naughty treat of 2 garlic bread slices (11 )
S; heb hi-fi bar

Evening all!
Just tried to catch up with posts over the last few days, I have been so busy that I just did not chance to get on.
Anyways, well done to the losers, especially Skint_Catt, I know you were dreading the 'damage' you have done, so well done for still going to group, and your fab weight loss and 1.5 stone award! Its good that you are motivated for this week, as others have said it can creep up on you, but you sound totally control so well done! ( I don't mean that to sound patronising I promise)
Just so I'm playing too, I started my weight loss journey after I had my DD1, I was 18stone 3lbs and wearing size 20s. With SW the first time round, I joined at 15 stone 5bs and got down to 12 stone 10lbs. (3lbs away from my original target) I've always been curvy and am now 14stone 4lbs and still getting into my size 14s that I wore when I was 12stone?! I don't get it at all, all I know is that 12stone 7lbs is my target, this was my weight in sixth form when I remember being truely happy with my body so to get here will mean everything to me. I kick myself that I was so close last time, then just lost the plot, but on the other hand I've lost it once so can lose it again.
I had WI yesterday and lost another 3lbs, and got my 1 stone award. Am really chuffed with myself, the no carbs is definitely working for me, I feel full of energy all of the time now, so I am keeping it up, although I was really craving a cheese and tomato sandwich at lunch today!!
I would like to join the 6 week countdown some of the others are doing on here. Can someone tell me when we start?0 -

Hi - Please join us, the more the merrier! We're starting next Monday as far as I'm aware, someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
I wondered that too.
I'm planning to start this Thursday after my WI, so hope no-one minds if I start early (although to be honest I've been as good as possible since my weekend break).
Good to hear lots of positivity on here tonight.
:TBecks, you're doing brilliantly.
I've been doing bits around the house today in some old size 14 jeans I bought a couple of months before I got to target. I feel so thin in them.:D It's given me a real boost. Hope I feel just as good in my size 12s tomorrow.;)0 -
