You're doing really well Lantanna - it's horrible when you're not well or have lots of other stuff going on but stick with it and you'll be at target before you know it :)

Nothing wrong with being nosy Maman ;) We're going to the south of France; the wedding is near Toulouse. Expected it to be hot and indeed it is meant to be warm but apparently the rain is going to start on Saturday (day of the wedding) and the bride has just emailed to say bring a brolly! :( Re. target - I will still be going to class every week as I help out with the weighing. I know I wouldn't have to get weighed every week but I probably still will, at least until I set a final target and reach it. I was only really thinking about calling target so I wouldn't have to pay/use holidays (although I think I still have some to use, may need them when paying again to get to lower target) while I'm on hols and then hopefully not have to pay when I come back (assuming I don't put on loads!) until I'm back into it and decide on a final target. Seems a bit like cheating as really wanted target to be 100lbs but it was always chosen a bit arbitrarily so I suppose it doesn't really make any difference if I'm still a couple of lbs away.

Thanks all - yes I'm scared it'll catch up with me, hence the speed soup ;) I'm basically planning on success express for the majority of this week! Means I've also got my average from now until Chrismtas down to 1.5lbs a week which is nicer than thinking 2lb can be a struggle sometimes.

I'm 5'6" & at 18.5 stone I was a 20/22 - I might be a 14 if I get to 12 stone this time though as Im more flabby, though if I get my !!! in gear & get back on the treadmill maybe I'll be ok.

Soup looks amazing on the stove - I've never been brave enough to eat my own soup before...... :rotfl:

I have no idea how it works! Weight is indeed a funny thing. I often look at people's weight in the SW magazine and think that there is no way that people can weigh what it says (people happily at their target)

Yes, sometimes the sizes/weights seem all wrong. I have been 9st 9lbs in the SW past (Oh, bliss...) but have never got under a size 14.

    Hope you're feeling better, btw.
  • !!!!!!. I got really into my beading & lost track a little. so far I've had a cup of coffee x2 & 2 alpen light bars. So I best go sort something out in the way of lots of fruit & veg lol

Had some bad news about the car that's made me do a mini rant on fb - but whether or not the right person will bother to do the right thing is a whole different story.

oh well. plod on :) xx

    Me too!

Shame about the promised rain in Toulouse Blodwen. I know the area, my nephew lived there for a few years and I've had some holidays in the foothills of Pyrenees. I'm sure the wedding will go well despite the weather. Maybe it'll be lovely between showers.

Just done loads of ironing. Hope it counts as Body Magic!

Good idea about the Success Express on top of speedsoup, skintcatt. You're certainly going for it.:T:)

EEK!! just wanted to use up some stuff in the freezer and thought I'd check syns before I eat. Can't believe Tesco nut cutlets are 13 syns. They are just vegetably discs, most unappetising. I have taken it out of oven and am going to bin it - I can't use 13 syns on that. I know it has Nut in the title but still..

Evening Ladies  Glad you are all well :grouphug:

Really tired after first day back at school. Got up at 4.30 as otherwise there just aren't enough hours in the day to do all that is needed. Enjoyed the cycle to work :j(not really, I was propper pooped but I'm trying to fool myself so don't say anything :silenced:)

I'm an odd one with sizes, I'm 14 st and in a size 12 jeans. Although they are REALLY tight, so really a size 14 ;) At 12 st I look really 'little' and my tops were a size 10!! I'm 5ft 6in.

Very well done Catt, although God knows how that happened? :T

Evening Treat ~ Curly Wirly if Iwant to

    Dog Walking ~ 3 miles am / 2milespm

    cycling~ 9 miles

Now, don't all shout at me at once, but....

...a lady at school has been doing the 5;2 diet. She lost 1 whole stone in the holidays. She said she has 500 cals on two days of the week, and eats quite badly the other 5 days? She's an old hand at SW and she said the 5;2 is the best thing she ever did.
She said on the 500 Fasting days she has melon for brekkie, mugshot for lunch and salad for tea. Interested to hear what you all think. I'm not sure I should have a go as you know I have a history of eating dissorders so I don't think starving myself again would be very sensible, but I am tempted :o I wouldn't stuff on the 5 days, just do normal SW Green like always.
Don't shout or tell me off, you know you love me and I'm just asking :D

frogga~ I would say stick to SW.
I don't think the fasting malarkey idea is a good one.
Remember you only lost 2 lbs less than a stone so you did pretty damm well in my book

Hi frogga, I tend to agree with beanie that your friend only lost 2lbs more than you so her 5:2 didn't make that much difference so why put yourself through it. My worry would be that you'd feel deprived and then go mad and binge.

What you might want to try is a couple of days of Success Express a week. That would be a compromise.

I think lots of people try other things alongside SW. My Fitnesss Pal, as an example, which is calorie counting matched to exercise I believe. Others cut out bread or limit carbs. It's tinkering but sometimes just the boost that's needed.
