Thankyou Thrifty that's very kind of you to say but I am really useless to be honest. I fall off the wagon ALL the time :o I'm a hopeless binger. My plan was to be good for the whole of the summer holidays. I was beginning to lose grip in week 4, then totally fell off in week 5 for 4 days. I can't even manage 6 straight weeks :(

I'm an 'all or nothing' kind of Frog. I usually try to go Cold Turkey which works, but then I have HUGE binges because I felt so deprived. I was desparate, but Blodwen and Maman kept telling me to just have 'one little bit' of chocolate everyday to stave off the cravings. I was very scared, but it does seem to have helped.

I have a little drawer in the kitchen full of goodies that are acceptable. Freddos, Curly Wirly, Fudge, Dairy milk mini, Milky Bar, Walnut Whip, Ripple etc. I pick one to put in the fridge for my evening treat. One day I felt strong enough to not even have it :T

I really want to get the last 3 stone off but to be honest I don't know that I'll ever get there? Maybe I should just be happy where I am as I can get into a size 14 easily which is nowhere near what I was. Can't even imagine what I'd look like 3 stone less? My friends said I'd look ill as if I lost 1 more stone I'm easily a size 12.

We''ll see. Have a good Sunday people xx

So far had a berry scone, big packet malteasers,smarties..................

I did too  I was persuaded to have a glass of wine at the pub. I always drink tea to keep calories down. Then I had a second, and a third, then 4 caramel wafers when I got home  Very angry with myself.

I have always joined SW online, never been to a group but I think I need face to face help. Can someone tell me how long a session lasts as I have just asked Mr P to take me one evening this week. He will have to find something else to do while he waits. Our nearest group is 20 miles away.

When I ran our local weight management group I lost a lot of weight. I am hoping to set it up again as I have been asked to by practice nurse and some of the ladies who used to attend. It was disbanded during my absence when DGD was born and I was helping DD for a couple of months. I just do healthy eating chats and provide info from BHF.

ETA Just realised I have had nothing to eat today. Just two cups of tea.

    pooh~ I would allow 45 minutes.
If you just want to weigh & go then it depends on queue's at your class.
To be honest though I think it's best you stay to class if you can.

My eating has not improved today.Hey ho.

  • Hi again to all.
Message for Frogga - if you set a 6 week summer holiday challenge then i have worked out that's 42 days so even if you had a blip for 4 days then you have met your goal more than 90% of the time!! So I think you should see yourself much more of a success than a failure :A
I think it is almost impossible to be good all the time, also I would be interested to know how tall you are? Your goal is the weight I was when I reached target, ( I am 5'7'') and a lot of people said I was too thin, made me look hagard etc (great supportive family and friends, not!) Anyway look back at photos I think they were right so am not planning on losing as much this time- want to get to 11 stone.

For Poohbear - yes I am thinking I should join a class too, always good for sharing recipies, inspiration etc but hard for me to go (childcare issues) I am going to get the new SW mag thats out on Wed (I think?) as I find it very helpful reading about others success etc and I am finding this thread really supportive too

    Good luck fellow slimmers x

beanielou, 45 minutes is not too long for Mr P to wait. If it was 2 hours it might be a bit long to expect him to wait in the car.

ThriftyShelly I have the new magazine. It arrived in the post yesterday. It helps me to see how well others have done. The support on here is great too. My problem is I go off plan then don't want to come back here to admit it. But I have today so that is a good start.

Frogga’s Diary Day 42 Week 6 ~ Last day of the 6 WeekChallenge!

Breakfast~ baked beans on opened wholemeal roll (HEB) & 2 poached eggs & grated cheese (HEA) on top sitting on a huge bed of leaves

    Snack ~ banana

Lunch~ Houmous (HEB) with carrot sticks, beetroot, pickled onions, gherkins, red cabbage then ff yog

Tea~ 2 new pots, Hm spicy chili beans (spicy beans, toms, onions, celery) dry roast veg (red onions, mange tout, little sweet corn, marrow) Then Ff yog

    Evening Treat ~ Freddo (Cannibalism!)

    Dog Walk ~ 3 miles

    Bike Ride~ 1 mile

So that's it, last day of the challenge :j You're right Thrifty 38 out of 42 days isn't bad, I am just cross with myself because I wanted to be 'perfect' ;)During those 4 days I consumed a terrific amount of food. Mostly carp. On the last day of term some of the children in my class had given me chocolate as a thankyou pressie. I initially put it away for Christmas, but I downed it all during those 4 days. I had a box of Thorntons, box of Dairy Milk, 2 boxes of Lindor, and a Cadbury's Thankyou Box. They were fantastic! But I'm such a pig!

Anyway, weigh day tomorrow, so we'll see what I lost despite my 4 day pig fest

Stay possitive Beanie and Pooh, you'll soon find your Mojo again :A Oh and I used to go to a SW group but it went on for an hour and a half! IT was very boring, some of the ladies went on and on and I wanted to slit my throat  so now I just come on here. It's free, I don't have to travel, and when you all start to bore me I just switch off :D

Yup, I knew I'd stress about writing an entire week off now it's getting close to WI! :(
Ordered my shopping for tomorrow evening - nothing I can't eat plus lots of veg to make free tomato & free speed soup so that'll be my every lunch if not a few dinners too :) I need to play catch up big stylee now as I really want another 27.5lbs gone by Christmas which is very fast approaching!

Hope you're all well & had a good weekend

So my total weight lost during my Six Week Summer Holiday Challenge was ...12lb :o I had hoped for so much more.

    For three reasons.
1 ~ Because I am only re-losing what I've already lost before, and I'm still a stone heavier than I had got down to
2 ~ Because I'm still over 3 stone overweight and
3 ~ Because I really thought I could manage a stone and half. So 12 lb feels very dissappointing.

Oh and 4 ~ Because my trousers are still tight and I wanted them so feel much more comfy :(

It has to be said, if I hadn't have tried, I guess I would be going back to school 2 stone heavier. So I could be in a worse situation. Wish I didn't have that 4 day binge, wish I hadn't put the weight back on from the last time I lost it. Wish I was thin already :(

I know I am in danger of a bad eating day today. The scales have annoyed me, and I usually now eat to make myself feel better. Great choice Frogga, Oh that's bound to work don't you think? :wall:

So back to the grind today :(

Went wild on the gin on sat night and then ate what have been at least half a Nimble loaf :(:(

I am really struggling with it now and could do with a good kick up the backside. If I looked back at August I'm sure I've lost virtually nothing.

Will be good from now until Thursday for wi but I think I've ruined it for myself again this week.

Can't believe its Sept! Setting myself 2 stone target for end of December so I may get on it.

Went out on Thursday and tried on loads of clothes as heading out next week. Didn't like anything on and just came away feeling worse about myself. I'm an Apple shape and just look fat in everything. I've never been able to get dresses that suit me :(
Good luck to all this week....................
