I swear I would be 20 stones if I ate what other people eat. Today I took my elderly Mum out and her "treat" is fish and chips. I sat in there with a huge plate and in the middle was a scoop of mushy peas and a small fishcake. I'm used to this though as I haven't eaten fish and chips since I started back at SW 15 months ago.

I looked round and everyone and I mean everyone has chips. Then they have fish, big sausages, pies and some even have bread rolls and butter as well.

I know a fishcake is not the best choice but in a chip shop it is.

I'll do that Magic, thanks. Happy bday Beanie xxx

You've just reminded me - Frogga - one of the girls in class mixes her 2 syn options sachet with a whole tub of quark (or FF natural yoghurt I can't quite remember which now) and uses it to dip things in - you could cut up some melba toasts into strips as a whole melba toast is only 1/2 syn :D

Please may I have a pat on the back? I've been SOOO good I just don't know what to do with myself, lol. We took DD to a safari park today & I didn't have time for breakfast before we left, so I was starving by lunchtime. Hubby asked me if I wanted pizza but I'd remembered a cafe that did sandwiches, so I said no I wouldn't have a burger or pizza & I would go & have a look at the sarnies hoping there would be a brown/wholemeal one available. ANYWAY, I found a salad bowl (£5.95!! ) and had that instead :D:D:D:D:D Just off to polish my halo now as it was so unlike me it's untrue - normally I would have just said 'sod it' :rotfl:

Made up for it this evening though by having an 8 syns chicken kiev with more salad & sw chips for dinner ;) Still within my syns though - unheard of for me on a day out!! :D

    Hope you're all well xx

Penny, I seem to remember that fish from chip shop is ok to eat as long as you remove the batter. I usually do this and just pinch two or three chips from OH and that does the trick!

Anyone else think this is ok?

I'm not sure I'd like Quark, Catt? I like yogurt, but only fruit flavoured ones, I don't like the plain ones because it's a bit 'mnutt' isn't it? I only like sweet :D

Well, I had a Walnut Whip. Just one. In the singular not plural, not a box of 3 or 6 like you get at Christmas. I ate it slowly, and then....

...I didn't eat another one :D Wow, it was a little bit difficult not to have something else, but that was the plan so I stuck to it.

We are having all of Mr Frog's family over for a BBQ this afternoon. Normally I wouldn't eat a thing. I'd eat before they came. I can have a Spicey Bean Veggie Burger at 10 syns and a roll (HEB). I usually don't eat anything like that, even though I love them, as it doesn't feel like 'diet' food. But, it's totally allowable, so I'm gonna try very hard, to have one, and then not blow it.

Have a great day everyone
