I find night times the worst, once I get my 2 DD's to bed, I find the urge to snack, or reward myself a treat. Pre-SW it used to be a glass of wine, that would turn into half a bottle. But since I have joined back at SW I have avoided alcohol, and have made a promise to myself not to have any now until Christmas!!! I've done it before, and have managed. I don't keep any in the house so am never tempted.

What I tend to now is where possible, keep my healthy extras free, so at night time I can munch on a piece of cheese or some babybels, and then follow it with a cereal bar (usually of the chocolate variety to get my fix) I always have to have something sweet after a savory eat. Its the way I work.

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good weekend and enjoys the bank holiday tomorrow. I have my second WI tomorrow so will be on minimal liquids and a yogurt and only fruit for the day. I'm really hoping I can have another small loss, even 1lb will do. I've been good all week so I'm hoping it shows on the scales.

I could have written that myself. It's worse still when DD's in bed & hubby is not home!! I make sure I've got Diet coke, Hex's (cheese & Hi-Fi or Alpen bars), along with a big bowl of SF jelly (2 syns per sachet (normally makes 4 portions ;) ) & sometimes cook myself some sw chips if I really feel I'll go off the rails!! :D

T, if there was just a splash of wine in the gravy you made then I'd ignore the syns. My HM gravy has meat juices/fat and cornflour so I need to syn it.

There is something in the book about stewed fruit having to be synned. It's something to do with eating more than you would in unstewed state and also breaking down fibre content. I may be talking total carp here but that's what I remember. Worth checking out.

Thanks Maman - it was just a splash of wine, so think I'll be safe enough to ignore it, especially as I have a few syns free today.:D

Can empathise with the evening snacking - I am sat here with my fingers itching for something, but I am also aware I am not hungry. This is simply my fingers and mouth looking for something instead of the cigarettes - I smoked most in the evenings, hardly anything during the day when busy. :o

I've got some cross stitch patterns to sew, and some beads to make into things, so I can hopefully just start to break this hand to mouth habit. Have snacked on some blackberries through the evening.

I like the idea of keeping the healthy extras for evening nibbling - I had an alpen lite bar earlier which was nice if a bit on the sweet side, and Im now wishing I had saved it :( Im wondering about ryvita and some low cottage cheese or lite cheese spread for nibbling as I like crunchy things.

Pleased I have managed today, it will be easier tomorrow as Im always very busy at work, so tend to forget about food most of the time, and I have a healthy lunch packed and ready to go:T

Good idea not to weigh frogga and glad to hear you're firmly back in the zone. I only ever weigh at group (don't have any scales at home and don't want any). I just use my clothes to tell me.

I'm still feeling full and jeans are telling me I've been overdoing it lately. Had a good day EE yesterday and planning another today:

B: HEB porage, HEA milk, NAS Ribena, tea
L: cold meat and LO veg
D: ham, cauli and broccoli cheese, green beans, mash or SW chips

Syns: cheese sauce, spoon of syrup with porage
