    Today will be green again:D

Using an A for milk in coffee & tea

    Coffee
    Banana, yoghurt
Tomato pasta with cheese(A), salad, beetroot
    Grapes
Chicken (B) fried rice - may use another B option for oil?

    Strawberries, meringue(5), yoghurt

Just amending my meal plan, realised I had pasta that needed used so having that for lunch and popped my baked potatoes in the freezer.

As you refer to calcium, I too was concerned that the plans dont give enough calcium . I calculated ammounts and talked the leader about it - she said dont worry you get calcium from all the veg etc as well as milk and cheese. I really dont think she was prepared for the question and he answer wasnt assuring enough. there is no way anyone is getting enough from the diet and veg has tiny ammounts.
I know its expensive, but tinned salmon has extra calcium, and cottage cheese will add more too.
    Are you taking suppplements too?
I dont think extra milk will damage your plans much.:)
I'm pretty sure when you're breast feeding you get an extra allowance or two of A choices do you not? Or have I made that up?

G&B is correct, you get extra Healthy Extras when you are breast feeding due to the need for the extra calcium - from the top of my head it is between 3 & 4 extra healthy extra A options - therefore on EE plan you have between 4 & 5 heA a day or 5 & 6 heA a day on green/original

I have the book at home if skint breeder 5 wants me to send the info across?
  • Thanks Aggy, G&B and Nessie, I have the breastfeeding guide book from last time with my DS. Along with numerous books, recipe cards and the like! I take Surestart vitamin supplement and if I can afford it a couple of tinned sardines in tomato sauce and mash in the bones...other than that if it has a whoopsie sticker on it - then its MINE :rotfl:

And you are spot on, I have 5 "children", although come September I should have two at Uni, so really there will only be 3 at home, DD4 is just 5 months old ;)

My first time at SW was waaaaaaayyyy waaaaayyyyy back in '95 after the birth of DD2 when fruit was a sin  semolina was a free food :p and no extra HEX's for pregnant or breastfeeding mums , and Green was considered the new fangled plan for vegetarians :rotfl:

Funnily enough it was my most successful attempt, I got to a BMI of 25, but thought I looked a little too boney and scraggy, so I thought I would put just half a stone back on.....fatal flaw, I might have been ok, to have more HEX's then rather than upping the sins, but hey-ho never mind!

Still on with today's food diary

B - Sweet rice scramble 0 sins (leftover long grain rice, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, sweetener, frylight and 3 eggs),

This time I am also trying to keep a record of my fluid intake to make sure I don't get dehydrated

F: 2 pints of water, 1 x fennel & nettle tea with stevia

Wishing everyone a good start to the day :)
The cold never bothered me anyway

DH is kindly supporting me on SW and trying to stick with the plan, which is very kind :D

But he has just texted and is weakening

At home I do pretty much everything from scratch.

But he just has a microwave to use.

So can anyone tell me of any low syn or syn free snack type stuff????

Just so he can have a quick top up!

    Are Mug shots still ok???

    Maybe a noodle thing???

I dont really do processed stuff but if it helps him stick with the plan.

He has plenty of fruit and ff yogs of course, but I think we all know sometimes you just need SOMETHING different!! :rotfl:

Cous cous is good you just add hot water to swell it up then add what you like chicken spices vegetable.
I'm not sure if it is free though I have a pkt of Ainsley Harriet I was about to prepare but not sure if its free. Someone will know. The texture takes some getting used to but it is so filling.

Plain couscous is free - the ainsley harriot ones vary in syn value - let me know what one it is & i can check for you x

I use couscous for breakfast - make the couscous plain - once cooled mix in yog & fruit & sweetener if needed & leave in fridge overnight & enjoy cold in the morning - i also do this with left over plain rice too!
