  • Hi all,

Been away on my reenactment weekend. 4 days in a thatched wooden reconstructed Saxon house was great :D However, despite taking a cooler packed to the gunwales with SW food, I succumbed to: whisky, whisky, cake, toasted marshmallows, whisky, bread, cheese, bread, coconut macaroons, a BK at the services on the way home...

Unsurprisingly I'd gained 4 lbs by the time I got home. By weigh in yesterday I'd pulled it back to just gaining 2 lbs. So, whilst not great, it wasn't the disaster it could have been.

    Back on the wagon today:

    B - 2 slices w/meal [HEB] with butter [3], 3 plums
D - lean bacon steak, HM wedges with 0.5 tbsp oil [3], peas and sweetcorn

HEA was 1% milk, 3 more syns from sugar.

Need to get some shopping in as I've been struggling to get the superfree in since the fridge is somewhat bare.

I do feel a little demotivated, the high of the 1/2 stone award is wearing off, and is becoming less exciting, does anyone know what I mean? I'm my own worst enemy, I know I'm setting myself unrealistic targets and then beating myself up when I don't achieve them.

I need to catch up with about 10 pages, so welcome to any newbies, congrats to all who've lost, and chin ups / hugs to any who need them :)

    PGxx

You'll get back on track Mich, hope you enjoyed your wee binge, sounds like the kind of stuff I'd scoff except I'd have had a bottle of wine lol.
I forgot to get the Bella magazine but will call my local class to see what I'll have to pay. I definitely need to do it, especially since it looks like I've been syning without realising, !!!!!!!

Had a small bowl of cereal with kids for supper, my healthy extras. Looked like 35g to me? :p

Wishing everyone a syn free night ahead :rotfl:
  • Forgot to mention, I swam 20 lengths tonight which given I'm not a good swimmer is a major achievement for me. Why do I now feel I deserve a treat, think I need to have an early bed to stop any munching!

PG, you did well to reduce your gain from 4 to 2. Sounds like the weekend was worth it :-)
  • I had a small 0.5lb gain this week, and I was alright with it when I walked out of the building. Now I've had time to think about it, I'm really gutted! I know in the great scheme of things half a pound isn't much, but I've tried really hard. I can't see where I'm going wrong. :(

Perhaps I ought to try the Success Express for a week to see if that makes a difference. :o

Evening all I'm a bit peeved as waited in all day for a surveyor and they never turned up . Now got to wait in tomorrow but for a different bloke to do a energy check on the house. Am so annoyed as had to cancel meeting my sis today, arranged to see her tomorrow but had to cancel that too. If he don't turn up tomorrow so help me I'll :eek::eek:
Anyway it hasn't effected my food:
    B - weetabix , milk, coffee, water
    S - apple/activia, coffee
L - hm soup, savoury rice
T - chicken, peas, onion risotto, squirt BBQ sauce (1)
    S - choc thin (3.5)
    HEA - milk
    HEB - weetabix
    Syns - 4.5

On a brighter note (ok essay alert ) I found a website that sells everything purple (am purple freak :D) and saw a keep calm wear purple t-shirt but it was in America so would have cost as much to ship it as it was to buy and not cheap at that. Long story short found another site last week in uk where you can make your own including the keep calm design. Made said t-shirt and it arrived today & it only cost £14.50 including p&p. Looks fantastic so I is a very happy bunny :j

You have had a cracking day if you can wait in all day for someone and not eat out of boredom and have the day you did food wise well

I take my hat off to you if there was such a smiley thing that showed that. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's person
