Hello & welcome,
Apetina Light is 2 syns per cube so you're over your syn allowance for the day with 7 syns from other things too - if you do that everyday it could be why the weight isn't coming off as fast as you'd like?
Was the bread an allowed 2 slice loaf? (Nimble/400g wholemeal etc) - little things like not using the recommended breads can also up the syns.
Stick with it & it'll come off but we'll helo you anyway we can

teaandcakeordeath wrote: »Hi everyone,
Do you mind if I join? My OH and I have been doing SW at home for the past two weeks using my old recipe books and class booklets. We're exercising (doing the Insanity workouts) and the weight isn't coming off as fast as I thought/ hoped it would. I've lost 3.5lbs (lost nothing last week- pre-af bloat I think) and OH has lost 5lbs. I'm currently 13st 1lb (BMI 29.55) and would like to get down to 11st (BMI 24.88). I don't *think* I'll get there but it's a long term goal- I'm awaiting IVF so HAVE to be at least 9lbs lighter to start (BMI less than 29 on hospital scales so accounting for that too!). I'm worried that I'll be delayed for treatment without losing more weight quicker.
If you all don't mind I'll post my daily food here each night which will hopefully keep me on track. If you can see areas where I can improve I'd really appreciate it!
Welcometeaandcakeordeath :T
It's. great thread with a lovely bunch and lots of people to help motivate you when/if you come off the wagon and provide guidance on diet when needed
That's one of the great things on this thread the encouragement everyone gives and it makes such a difference .
Collectively we'll get there:beer:0 -

The bread is the 2 slice 400g hovis wholemeal loaf so think that's right... Can't believe appetina is so high! Glad I've only had it today! Thanks for that- I'll have to figure out who to give the pack to now!
Thanks for the welcome!0 -
Yes, the bread is fine
Weigh in for me tomorrow. Very nervous as it'll be my first gain, but on the plus side I've restarted my Couch to 5k running today so that should knock a good bit off over the coming weeks!
Aiming for another stone gone by beginning of October for my daughters birthday, then maybe another stone by Christmas would be lovely, but I'll revise when I get to October.

Thanks for the welcome guys
Weigh in went good lost 4 1/2lbs........ Felt good until the other 3 people started last week too, lost more than me, I know is not a race but still felt a bit:o
Anybody got any good tips for any aldi food? Free or low syn? That's where I do my shopping and am trying to stock up on little ideas
Planning on doing a weeks menu tomorrow, as think that really helps me
4.5lbs is an excellent start:T
I shop at Aldi and buy all the basics there with a top up in Sainsbury's. So rice, pasta, tomatoes, tomato puree, passata, fruit and veg, red beans, ham, chicken pieces, FR chickens, FR eggs, fat free yogurt, milk, salmon fillets (various marinated ones), frozen peas, frozen red fruits, herbs and spices. All these things are free or suprefree. For other things you can check the syns online.
I think having a weekly plan and shopping for it is one of the best things on SW.teaandcakeordeath wrote: »Breakfast: 2 slices toast HEB with banana. Snack: Grapes.

Shame about the apetina.:( If you had another cheese like Laughing Cow Light (or preferably Extra Light) you could have it as your HEA and save syns. I'm not sure if you're veggie or just had a veggie day today but on the Green plan you're allowed 2 HEAs and 2HEBs.
Oh and welcome:o Do keep posting your menus.
I did end up with a few more syns today but nothing serious. Dug some mushroom rice out from freezer so unlike plain it would have had syns and I let DH feed me a square of chocolate. BUT I stayed away from the crisps.
It's our wedding anniversary tomorrow so although a SW breakfast other meals will be flexi as planning to eat out.0 -

Morning All :j
Welcome newbys. My only comment on menus for what it's worth, is that people don't seem to be eating anywhere near enough? I stuff my faceDon't you have to eat loads to lose loads? Or your body thinks you're in starvation mode?
Inazuma it was a bit stupid, and you are a bit of an idiot, but ho hum do you know what? You didn't kill anyone. No one died. You ate some chocolate, quite a big bar I grant you, but you ate some chocolate. When I do that Mr Frog says "well, good, was it nice? Good, let's move on then" It's such an irrelevance to 'normal' people, but it's always the end of the world for us isn't it? Because we're a bit mentalNow you know what the others will say, let's all draw a line __________________________________________
Oh and Magic bucks just so you know, if you pick dandilions you wet the bed, so better get out the Tena Ladies tonight
Have a good day all, I'm hopping off to check out Aldi...Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D
