.....oh horray! I kept getting the message that someone had reported me for eating SPAM! I'm a commited veggie, I don't even sniff bacon sarnies ~ I've never eaten spam in my life!

Will be slightly wobbly today. I felt so thin, then getting on the scales to be told I'm still over 3 stone overweight is sobering. Will need to really concentrate and hold on tight today or I shall fall off the wagon when we go round a bend.

Well done. Don't give up. I too have done this since Oct losing 3st6 with another 8 to get to target.at first I lost 2,1,2,2, etc until Xmas. Then I had 3 months of on - off and at las have had 4 weeks in a row of steady losses... Not massive, like many do but 1 or 2 lb. I hope to have my 4 st off and be at target for my 1 year. That will be do-able and a target for any sooner will mean disappointment if I don't make it. Good luck all.....
    2014 reach my best.
  • Good Afternoon!!

    **newbie alert**

Been reading this for the last week, and got some great tips!!!

Got my first weigh in tonight.....feeling nervous at this point in time, I've ate more than I normally would but have stuck with in syn limits!

What do people eat during the day, when they get weighed at class on a night? Normal like they would any other day or a light lunch?

Hope everybody is having a good day

I normally sabotage on Weigh Day  God knows what's wrong with me?

You are supposed to just eat normally as last week you'd have had your dinner already so it has to be a true record. Having said that, when I went to class I'd do anything to weigh less ~ cut my hair, cut my fingernails, no knickers, breathe out etc... :o

I'm glad it wasn't just me who was banned from the site yesterday!:rotfl:

2lbs really is a good loss, be proud of yourself. I just wanted to tell you that I had 3st 2.5lbs to lose when I started SW. I lost it in just about 9 months at an average of less than 1.5lbs a week ( a mixture of big losses, small losses,STS, gains). I'm telling you this (not to boast:o) but that in 9 months time you could be at target. If you maintained that 2lb loss you'd be there even sooner. I know you're having a big push now that the school holidays are here. Why not do some menu planning now for September so you have ideas for lunches to take to school and recipes for evenings when you CBA. You're doing really well.:A

Might take me longer though as I already lost alot, it just I've had a little break so it feels like I'm starting again? I updated my signature to make a bit more sense of it

You could be right as weightloss often slows down as you get closer to target. There's still lots of things you can try as/when that happens like Success Express or there's some other thing (Fast Forward?) which involves loads of weighing/measuring of stuff so I think is partly portion control. People like Blodwen have kick started loss with myfitnesspal which involves calorie counting. Or you could do a SW version of the 5:2 diet so just doing portion/calorie control 2 days a week and 'normal' SW other days.

But that's not where you are yet. Just keep plugging away.:)

tinofpeas Welcome! and good luck for tonight. Frogga's right that it's best to compare like with like. So, if it's inconvenient to eat before then eat after but do it every week. If you want a light lunch on WI day then do it every week. I used to wear very similar clothes every week too. So make a choice that suits your Mondays and then stick to it.

Just as an update to my post a couple of weeks ago, my partner continued on as usual and the weight loss has re-started, and he's lost half a stone in two weeks.

As an aside I have a hiatus hernia and would usually take Omeprazole every day to ward off acid indigestion. In the ten weeks that I've followed SW I've only taken five tablets in total.
