Wanted to thank you Maman but for some reason the Thanks button is missing.
I like to do extra boiled potatoes so that I've got some left to fry up either for breakfast or lunch. I usually have fried potatoes, mushrooms, egg and sometimes bacon. If I have that for breakfast then lunch tends to be something light.

I spend a fortune in Sainsbugs
I buy expensive 'goodies' for Mr Frog and the Tadpoles, cake, sweets, nice bread etc, posh crisps (walkers rather than economy). I buy LOADS of F&V for myself. For years we had to be really tight with the budget, now I make up for it
Just had a delivery from Sainsburys and among other things I bought
a tub of pineapple £2
a punnet of cherries £2
a punnet of blueberries £2
2 x corn on the cob £2
and I've already eaten all of them
The only thing I can say in my defense is that at least it wasn't carp, it was all 'free'. Next week however things are changing. I've been good for the first half of my 6 week Summer Holiday Challenge, for the 2nd half though I'm going to really cut down on the amount I'm eating. I'm just eating for the sake of it, and I really shouldn't spend that much  I am very greedy.Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

:eek::eek::eek:
better than being free frogga, mostly suprefree and in the case of pineapple superspeedy too!
Be careful with cutting down portions. I do think it's a good idea but beware of making yourself feel deprived.
I'll consider myself thanked, joedenise.:) After a couple of poor years, we've had about 5 weeks of brilliant success with courgette plants. DH is amazed at my ingenuity in sneaking them into meals. I've frozen some and given some away (at SW). The trouble is my favourite recipe is mucver (Turkish fritters with cheese) but I haven't succumbed.:(0 -

I know that's the problemI just don't want to binge. Food is such an issue with me. I need to get a life
I nearly didn't tell you all what I've already eaten because it is auful isn't it? I'm mortified that you had to do 3 shocked facesI am such a greedy pig/frog. But I'll remind myself they are superfree, and super speedy. Although, I'm kidding myself. I am a greedy pig/frog

:hello:Morning everyone, are are y'all?
Thank you for my good luck wishes for my interview, they really helped as now I have to have a 2nd interview with the MD on Monday! fingers crossed! I should know by tues or wed so that's pretty quick...
SW wise was a bit of a non starter yesterday, I dread to calculate how many syns I had so I'm not going to. Today is a new day and if I show a gain or a STS tomorrow morning at WI then it's my own fault and I just have to crack on.
I was thinking of doing SE at some point but it won't be next week since its my mum's 60th so we'll be eating out at least 3 times plus the lady who I interviewed with yesterday said it would be a good idea to have a meal at the restaurant I'd potentially be working at to get a feel for the place.. I'll take my mum! :T
Need to do a Morereasons shop later for more meat, fish, salad and veg, might get a bit of fruit but too much sets my IBS off...
Today... EE
B: 2 leftover spring rolls with sweet chilli dip (great start )
L: don't even know.. Mullerlite. Apple slices from Mr M.salmon fillets... I don't have an oven so I'll prob poach them, salad
HeA milk in tea, using up yesterday's since didn't have full amount
Prob won't have HeB since I've messed up already at breakfast!
Bleaurggh, fresh start tomorrow after WI!!!
PS, does anyone know what I can drink in the restaurants that's low syn?? I don't drink diet drinks like diet coke etc and I'll be avoiding alcohol coz I'll eat everything (off plan) in sight! I would have normal coke but there's 5 syns in a can!
Have a good day everyone! DxCredit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

If it's just roughly mashed and not cooked/pureed surely it would be free wouldn't it ?
I think you're right and it's not as if you're eating them all day every day. I believe it's something to do with fibre and also the old thing about eating more than you would do whole (like juice and smoothies).:hello:Morning everyone, are are y'all?

Good news about the interview.:)
I'd have a fizzy water with ice and slice if I was in a pub and not having alcohol (almost unheard of in my case:o) but may people tell me that soda with a splash of lime is refreshing. There would be syns in the lime cordial but hugely less than in alcohol or full fat coke.0 -

It gets mashed up when you eat it anyway so if its only 1 it's free.

Thanks maman
I like the sound of mucver, I love Turkish/Lebanese/Greek food
I said I wasn't going to calculate but it was bugging me so I worked it out, I must've had about 70 syns yesterday! I think everything I ate was syns! I didn't eat much in quantity but I made up for it in Synergy!!
Not much I can do about it now, I've had 15 syns for breakfast too
Bring on tomorrow and draw a line under the week. I know where we're going for meals next week so ima check the menu's online for SW friendly options! Plus I'll get the free foods directory I ordered tomorrow so that will help with meal planning.Credit Card Debt:[STRIKE]£12991[/STRIKE] £12526

Afternoon all,
Some fab results recently, well done you losers :-)the most enormous soft icecream with maple syrup and bits of flapjack.
*drool* - that is all
I'd be interested to know about the 'timings' of all of your meals. We are on Summer Holiday mode at the moment, so I'm leaving my breakfast until 8am, then lunch is at 12am then dinner is at 4pm, then I don't eat again until 8am the next morning. I was watching a telly program that was advocating 'fasting' and they said that it was a good idea to eat dinner early, eat breakfast late, and that meant you could have about 16 hours a day (including the time you were asleep)fasting which was supposed to be good for you :undecided
I tend to eat breakfast at work so have it about 8.30, lunch at 12.30-1 and tea at about 6, although I'd probably have it at 4 if I could! OH always used to eat late and when we're at his mum's we have tea (sorry, dinner- it's in the South!) at about 8, which is way too late for me but then we always used to have tea about 5 when I was a kid. As most of you probably know I'm now doing the fasting thing and I have to say, I agree with the science behind it so if I'm not feeling particularly hungry on a feed day I'll stretch it out and have breakfast later, especially at weekends - sometimes I forget about it all together and just end up having lunch instead. I used to think little and often was good but tbh having read about both I don't think grazing is particularly good for us. Just my personal opinion but I did find last time we went on a 2 week all inclusive holiday (think 2 or 3 plates at every meal plus dessert and lots of cocktails) neither of us gained any weight and I think it was down to having 3 meals a day with no snacks in between rather than the constant snacking we'd do at home.I'd be interested to know how much you all spend on food ? I'm a single person and so far this week I've spent £32. Is this bad ? I'll have to go back on Sunday to get some more fresh stuff. Since joining SW my food bills have escalated:eek:
Have to say, since not buying quite so much fruit and more importantly, not having to buy extra light everything, our food bills have gone down. It also allows me to shop more in places like Aldi and Lidl as they do low fat stuff (which I tend to buy, diet or not) but not necessarily fat free, so stuff I couldn't have for free before is now going into my trolley. Also, quite a lot of basic ranges would be syns- I bought Smartprice LF yogurt once only to realise that it wasn't fat free and therefore had to count the syns. I found it was mainly stuff like Quark and extra lean mice that was pushing the bills up. That's not to say don't buy it of course, but if you're on a tight budget it can be hard to factor these things in. We used to spend about £60 in Asda and maybe another £15 in Aldi (including cat food), now it's about £40/£20, although last week I successfully managed to get OH on board to do the full shop in Aldi and we spent £45 including about £10 on dishwasher tablets and other cleaning bits :money:
Frogga - talking of the cost of food, have you got any cheaper supermarkets nearby (our closest is Sains but I refuse to go unless its an emergency or they have a particular offer on - no wonder OH says I'm tight! :rotfl:). In Aldi this week corn on the cob are in the super 6 so you get 2 for 69p, and pineapples are always max £1. Asda also do similar, £1 for pineapple and corn, although you have to chop the pineapple yourself- personally I'd do this if it saved 10p but as I said, I'm tight2011: [STRIKE]Houses[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]weddings[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]cats[/STRIKE]
