Macpep ! My home had fleas last year courtesy of my little dog, I only had a few bites but the poor dog ended up taking a really bad allergic reaction to the bites and ended up with skin that was in really poor condition that led to her getting a steroid injection.

I found the only way to get rid was to constantly spray and vacuum everywhere. Not easy at all.

Does anyone watch Masterchef? John made these amazing Chicken Meatballs last night spiced with Indian Spices which I don't think would be too hard to make SW Friendly!

Our wee cat is clear of them, we have checked her daily, the spray DH got was £11 & obviously not worked . I checked reviews of it online today & the majority gave it 1 star :(. I have ordered more stuff online that gets good results, every room in the house has been treated.

I saw those meatballs, they looked yummy.

Forgot to post my EE Menu today

    B - Melon, Benefit bar (3.5 syns)
L - 1/2 tin Salmon, tomato sauce (1 syn) WM pitta HEB +1 syn, salad, (1 syn for dressing) melon, strawberries.
D - SW Lemon chicken, broccoli
1 syn for milk in 2 coffees
Rest of day drinking green tea.

WI day for me today and had a STS. OK with that as I was away with DH and DGD last weekend and had the most enormous soft icecream with maple syrup and bits of flapjack. Haven't had many syns each day since Monday so obviously reined it back a bit.

    Having an EE day today:

B - banana and HM cake (4.5 syns)
L - SW quiche, LO boiled potatoes, pickled onions, pickled beetroot
D - Beef stew, new potatoes.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - not sure but maybe some Ryvita & butter later (so a few more syns as well)
    Snacks; melon, raspberries, strawberries

So that's another day over and done with and not binged yet :D MUST NOT get too cocky though as that's when I fall off the wagon. The minute I start showing off and thinking I've got it all sorted, I lose concentration and before I know what I'm doing, I'm stuffing my face:o

I'd be interested to know about the 'timings' of all of your meals. We are on Summer Holiday mode at the moment, so I'm leaving my breakfast until 8am, then lunch is at 12am then dinner is at 4pm, then I don't eat again until 8am the next morning. I was watching a telly program that was advocating 'fasting' and they said that it was a good idea to eat dinner early, eat breakfast late, and that meant you could have about 16 hours a day (including the time you were asleep)fasting which was supposed to be good for you :undecided

Once term starts again and I'm back to work I'll be eating my brekky at about 5am as that's when I get up. Lunch is at 12.30pm as that's lunch time at school, and then tea is at about 5pm as that's as early as I can do it after work. I still then eat nothing until next morning.

Some of my friends have their tea at 8pm!! I couldn't wait that long! Even though I usually feel bereft after I've finished eating because it's all gone, I almost like 'getting it over and done with' then I know I don't have to think about food until the next day.

However another train of thought is that you should eat little and often to keep things moving? So maybe I should be having a snack in the evening

    Mealtimes, frogga:

I have my breakfast about 8. Lunch is when I fancy it usually not until about 2. Supper is never earlier than 7.30. I'm a bit of a night owl so often get peckish later in the evening. That's where this week's frittata has been so useful, something easy to grab from the fridge. I rarely snack in the day except for maybe the odd banana but that's generally when I've not bothered with lunch.

I've had a reasonably good EE day:
B: NAS Ribena, HEA Shreddies, HEB milk
    L: finished off frittata
D: chicken casserole with celery, onion, leek, carrots, courgettes, butter beans and new potatoes. It was yummy!

Syns: tbsp. cornflour in sauce (shared with DH) and a square of chocolate and about 5 crisps (snaffled from DH;)) Much better than opening my won packs.

Major stress here the last 2 days, so needless to say, quite a bit of toast and chocolate from hospital vending machine were consumed. Usually I would then pack it in, tell myself I will never be slim, what's the point, I haven't got time to think about myself, sod it, I want homemade bread and rolls etc etc. All those inward negative things.
But I don't want to give up again. So today I am going to try my hardest to stick to plan again. Wish me luck

Does anyone else here find it hard to give up bread? I love my homemade granary bread and my soft bread rolls. I suppose I will need to find the syns for all the ingredients and calculate the syns for individual slices of bread and rolls and just have it. Nimble bread or 2 little slices from a wholemeal loaf just don't do it for me :( and I need my one and only HEb for other food;)

    Have a great day

    Hi MO2

Sorry to hear you've had some stressy time recently. These things do knock us off course don't they? Still you must remember, that some people would turn to fags, some to drink, some to drugs. So we eat a little? So what? There are worse things we could do! We are not bad people, and we are not failures because we found a little comfort when we needed it.

I too am a bread lover. I love the bread with 'bits' in, either wheat or seeds, you know what I mean? In the past when I have given it up, I've craved it, so now I do have some everyday.

I count it as a HEB, and as a veggie doing Green days I'm allowed 2 HEB's a day. I must say, I count any wholemeal/seedy/granery bread/roll/pitta as a HEB. I know it's not strictly sticking to the plan as granery isn't but I think that's a bit OTT ;) I do only have one slice of a large loaf or one little roll so I'm not being too naughty :D
