Aldi Facebook Page Kicking Off after Parking Eye LBAs
Comments

"Yes Man from the council, in taking over this previously council-run car-park we will promise that it is 3 hours free parking for everybody, similar to other car-parks in the area, even put it in the planning permission"
18 months later, "90 minutes parking for store customers only" without the council even getting told about it.
More than a slap on the wrist for that.0 -
"customers were moaning they couldn't get parked up to do shopping so we had to do something"0

I just did a Google search for ALDI facebook.
Typed as far as "aldi faceb" and up jumped the suggested term "aldi facebook parking eye" !0 -
I don't do Facebook but those members who do is it possible to direct Aldi customers here for advice?
It would be a shame if Parking Eye started losing even more money at POPLA0 -
Bounce - we wouldn't want Aldi think this this is being buried would we !0

An interesting point currently being repeated on the Aldi FB page in the context of recommending to any Aldi/PE victim is that they should contact their Plannng Dept to check whether the time limits/Aldi Only Customers were agreed in the original permissions.
Now, should there have been some connivance and limits reduced or conditions altered, doesn't this leave a potentially massive liability on Aldi (or is it PE) as anyone 'FINED' (Aldi's own admission) must surely have to have their 'FINES' reimbursed?
There's a lot more miles still to run on this! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Always worth keeping Aldi on the first page - especially as their Facebook page is busy once again !0

I would argue that any reduction or alteration of planning for the car park should void the whole planning consent.for the Aldi store. The man without a signature.0 -
Bump to the top.
Question - If Parking Eye decides to take someone to court on behalf of Aldi, does the motorist have the right to request the presence of someone from Aldi?0 -

Not sure tbh. But there's no reason not to threaten Aldi with the prospect, and if there are so many Aldi/PE prosecutions then at least some will succeed in dragging Aldi to court.
The big question is will THEY fold before having to reveal all in 'discovery'? Interesting times ahead.
Whilst PE/Aldi may feel they've scored a potential winner with their en masse LBAs, the strategy might well put a firecracker up their backsides - oh, painfulPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum.
