All were picked-up by inquisitive patrons within 30 minutes.Never Knowingly Understood.

Another small update from me (and bump for this thread).
Called in at Aldi Carnforth today to see if any of the signage had changed- it hadn't- but the ParkingLie ANPR camera is now in place. So looks like the council have achieved nothing...
Still no reply from the councillor as well, so I have got in touch with the local paper and have sent them all the details.:D0 -
Although not named, I assume the parking company in this Aldi news story is Parking Eye:-

A PARKING firm has offered to refund more than £10,000 of parking charges after a mix-up with a North-east restaurant.
Note that eye-watering figure of £10,000!What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
It was actually nearer £11.5k. And as this was Aberdeenshire then all the registered keepers could have just ignored the bog paper anyway.0

I guess I know where I'm parking when I'm in Carnforth now, then0 -
If they are ignoring planning rules and failing to enforce after demand by a member of public you can take your compliant firstly to the council in writing and then to the local Government Ombudsman service.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

Spokesman for Lasan, Ronnie Rahaman, said: “Our business was heavily affected by these parking charges.
I think if I was Ronnie, I'd be seeing my lawyers to press to recover as many of my losses as possible. Parking companies will be very familiar with such a concept! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Thanks for the info Marktheshark. I was hoping that the council, had they bothered to reply to my original letter properly, would have indicated any timescales they have given Aldi to comply. So my job for next week's spare time will be complaints to the head of the council and about the councillor.
PS I haven't heard anything more from the local paper- either they are looking into it, or they aren't interested. :sad:0
