The Two Witches. Luv it.
Me too ! If you want a chuckle at some pretty off the wall stuff from a parody site aimed at Aldi, look here.

Please note, not for the faint-hearted!Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Monday bump...
Local paper got back in touch about Aldi in Carnforth. I might point them in the direction of that thread on pepipoo about advertising consent for signage...
The council leader has also signed for my letter, so hopefully she will have read it all through over the weekend. It will be interesting to see what happens next.0 -

See the usual self-serving rubbish from both Aldi and Parking EyeWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

Personally, I cannot see why anyone needs to spend 90 minutes in Aldi. Does anyone here
1) shop in Aldi
2) need 90 minutes? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

1) Yes
2) Sometimes but then the Aldi local to me had specific planning conditions that allowed me to do so. Conditions that Aldi and Parking Eye have immorally chipped away at against local and council wishes to now be at a level that they originally applied for."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
What you are forgetting is they Double Dip people.
Just nip back for something else and they suffer a computer glitch that erases the set of images from leaving to returning and claim people spent several hours whilst in reality they visited twice.
What I do know and can not speak for Aldi is Morrisons brought them in and now you can not get a taxi to collect you from the store as they got pizzed off with getting parking charge notices for parking all day when they were just collecting fares.
Customers who need to use taxis no longer shop with them as they wont pick up from Morrisons , it might help them explain why sales are falling as well.I do Contracts, all day every day.0 -
Are you referring to cases where the council require the park to be available to non-Aldi customers such as Hove. I am talking about Aldi's customer only car parks.
The Memsahib, who can shop for England, would be hard pushed to spend more than an hour in one.
I have just read elsewhere of a B&M that shoos its customers away in 60 minutes. This is unreasonable, but 90 in Aldi seems fair enough. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
the aldi in preston (corporation st)was granted planning permission based on 3 hrs and could be used by non-Aldi customers , the idea was to keep traffic movement to a minimum in the town centre , there are 4 large stores on site and many more within short walking distance
however PE have quietly amended it it 1 hr 20 mins0 -

It's not unreasonable if you have mobility issues to need 90 minutes to get a weekly shopping done. There are plenty of other reasons you might end up going over time - from wanting to check something (I'll often phone my dad if there's an offer on to see if he wants it), or just congestion.
I'm not sure I've ever been in one for as much as half of that time, but I'm a fit and healthy 30 year old who shops for a couple of days at a time and goes in when it's quiet. My 94 year old neighbour probably couldn't get from car back to car in under an hour on a good day.0
