The only problem with the site occupied by my nearest Aldi is that it was a Sainsburys back in the 1980's, then an MFI from around 1989 until about 2 months before they went under, soits not as easy to search for the planning permissions as they are buried deep within the Council's archives.

AFAIK, the onl changes applied for were change of class (from furniture to food) & change of use to upper floor for use as a church.

hopefully the Vicars sermons are not too long, otherwise some of his flock may end up being fleeced.

I had the good fortune to be shopping at a new ish Aldi in the edge of Liverpool yesterday ;-)

Bit long winded ..... but I was taking three people shopping two of them have mobility problems, so while one was still shopping I took the other home, then returned for the other two. This of course meant that I have broken the terms and conditions on the PE signs .... no return in four hours.

I spoke to the security guard on duty (in Aldi uniform) and he implied that he monitored the cctv not PE ???

So now I look forward, to see if I get a nice invoice over the next week or so ;-)

PE don't normally go for the "no return" charge as it's difficult to prove that the same driver drove both times. More likely they will miss out your first departure and second arrival and come up with an overstay based on your first arrival and your second departure.

Security Guards monitor the 'CCTV' (crime prevention) which is NOT the same as 'ANPR cameras' (scam provision!). Different set of cameras.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    My poor phrasing :-(

the guard implied that it was CCTV, I believed it was APRN as the PE signs stated this.

Yep, it's the Lexden Aldi store. Will search the forum thread for mentions. But will say that I've already conversed with CBC's planning officer over the pole & apparently it does not need permission.

PE have different do not return times on bilingual signs

on English one it states that do not return within four hours, on welsh one it states do not return within 2 hours

another point of appeal I am wondering??
