PE have different do not return times on bilingual signs

on English one it states that do not return within four hours, on welsh one it states do not return within 2 hours

another point of appeal I am wondering??

If I lived locally I would keep parking there for three hours, put in a soft appeal each time to get it to POPLA and then hit them at POPLA with the Welsh version of the sign ! Brilliant :T:T:T

It might be if they ever issued a fake fine for returning too soon, which they don't (impossible for them to prove same person was driving on each occasion). They prefer to simply lose the intervening exit and re-entrance and send a fake fine for overstaying.

  • I do wish they'd monitor their fire exit's a little better. Local store had their single exit blocked, pointed it out to the manager, but he didn't seem too interested. Will take my camera next time :-)

If only 1 fire exit is blocked then it should cause an almost immediate action from the local Fire Brigade Fire Safety...... that is if any of them are left!

Well, the reply from Lancaster Council finally arrived yesterday- it's a bit brief, but does at least confirm 2 things:

    1. The council don't keep a track on planning applications to ensure they have fulfilled all conditions before occupation.

    2. It's business as usual for Aldi by ignoring planning departments and doing what they want.

What do fellow Aldi fans think?

If the pic of the letter doesn't appear below, here's the doctored url for a responsible adult to post up- hxxp://i768.photobucket.com/albums/xx322/MrSteve/LancasterCityCouncilAldiReply.jpg

Mealy-mouthed reply, possibly meaning one of two things:

    1. We are too frightened of Aldi to tackle this ourselves properly.
    2. We don't want to cause anything that might create work.

    Or perhaps both!

Sir Humphrey couldn't have done a much better job of a reply. :)
