the starting price being lower than the starting price of the ps3 doesnt mean they wont follow the usual pattern where pricing is concerned. what it does mean is it will arrive at the price level that you find acceptable alot sooner. whatever level that is.

If I can plug my sky box into my Xbox and with a voice command switch from gaming to TV watching, the amount of grief that will save from the wife, who always presses the wrong buttons on the remote, will make it worth any other hassles.

Xbox sounds good to me.

Well for me it is a 'no brainer'. who would want a console that insists you play on the internet, pay more £'s for and cannot compete with Sony and the blu-ray.
PS4 for me everytime, never had one die on me yet and I have 4 consoles!:D

xbox one has blu-ray.

It can do all those things though. Offline for 24hrs and they may well introduce authentification from disc, you can trade a game once or your friends can play from your library of game and you can turn Kinect off.
