My younger sister is terminally ill. I don't know what to do. Am lost actually.

My darling sister passed away peacefully on July 14th.
She got me to draft her will, take note of her wishes, and she managed to see all those she wanted to see.
We were with her for the days she was in hospice. I couldn't praise that place enough. The staff were like angels, the view from her room and deck was lovely. We had laughter and tears, showed all the photos on the iPad, played all her favourite songs, and we were with her when she took her last breath.
My mum is still in hospital but she is improving, my brother in laws funeral is imminent.
Sadly sis will not make the wedding, but she saw the bride and groom to be and their little daughter while in the hospice.
Thank you for all your support online.
She was 49. May she rest in peace.0 -
Melanzana I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I am glad that you got to spend such precious time with your sister. Also that the hospice was such a warm and welcoming place and you were all so well looked after. My thoughts are with you and I hope you have friends and loved ones around to support you through this difficult time. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

I cannot tell you how much I feel so sad for your loss and wish you strength over the next few days and beyond. I read your whole post and your love for your sister came shining through. You were truly a loving sister to her and you have done extraordinarily well at such an upsetting time.0

Just want to say so sorry for your loss. You've been strong for your sister, now remember to try and stay strong for yourself.0

Dear Melanzana,
I'm so glad you were able to be with your sister and enjoy some golden moments together, and that she was peaceful at the end. But so sorry for your loss.
I do hope that your mother's recuperation continues, and that the wedding will be a happy moment in what has been an awful few months for your family.
Look after yourself x :A0 -
I am so sorry for your loss, and like other posters I do know how it feels.
Can I just say, please be kind to yourself over the coming weeks and months. You have been a brilliant big sister and held it together and stayed strong for your little sister, and at some point you will need to take some time out for yourself to allow yourself to grieve. When that happens, don't fight it, just take care of yourself and let it happen.
Big hugs to you
