Interparcel any good?

It is amazing how many bad reviews for interparcel. And strangely enough, they seem to come from those who just registered - competitors?
And actually people who have been here for a while don't really complain, mainly praises. I myself have booked a parcel delivery today to Germany via interparcel. Done this at about 8:30 this morning and it was collected at about 12pm.
It is not interparcel that loses the parcels, but DHL. The same happens with Royal Mail and other companies. You can't blame the broker. If you apply for a mortgage via broker and bank decides not to give you the money, you don't go shouting that the broker didn't give you money, do you?Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

I have used Interparcel a number of times and they have been great, however I paid through Paypal for a pick up and the payment went through but no order was made if that makes sense? I contacted them by phone to explain and was told to email "Sam" and re-order, which I did. 5 emails later and 2 phone calls I feel my only option is to lodge a claim through Paypal to try and get the my money back. I believe they are great as a go between when things are working fine, but as said when things go wrong they just do nothing or offer excuses.
P.S. I'm not affiliated with any other courier, etc, I just googled Interparcel to see if anyone else had been having problems. I'll continue with the claim.0 -
I used interparcel quite happily for about six months but after letting me down a couple of times and getting no sense or help from the customer service dept ive gone elsewhere.
Ive not found a decent courier service to use day to day, I just use the one that gives me the best quote and quickest turnaround, making sure that the item is properly insured!0 -
I trade on ebay and use any and every parcel service as appropriate. Boxby's will accept parcels of up to 180x60x60 and up to 30Kg for £16.99 so sometimes they are the best when no one else will accept a delivery because the parcel is too large/heavy.
I have been using interparcel a lot more lately because their prices haven't gone up like those of my other favourite (P4D) and not had a problem with them. However because a lot of the companies have put up their prices following DHL's price hike.., I now use Royal Mail a lot more. As long as the parcel is under 4Kg, they are comparable to pick up couriers and u don't have to wait in all day obviously. We do live near a RM depot tho. I have never managed to use parcels2go.., they are always, without exception the most expensive option even when booking the same courier (even with discount). I was outraged to see they were also charging a surcharge a month before any courier I use put their prices up (and long before DHL did). I do deliver to Europe occasionally and always use Parcelforce worldwide.., no one else can beat their prices I find.0 -
do not use boxby, boxby and smart parcels are the same company they have the same customer service number, and from my experiance of using them they will take your money and you will have to send your parcel with another company AVOID AT ALL COSTS0

Anyone used interparcel for sending items overseas if so what did they think of there service and i have been let down badly with parcelforce recently and looking to use someone else.
Hi
I sent a parcel to southern Ireland last Wednesday and it was there , as promised, by friday.
Very pleased, especially considering the address was very rural, no postcodes in Eire and it was there by the morningWouldn't hesitate to use them again
(and it was the cheapest quote I had too)0 -

Hi
I am the Director of Boxby, and haven't come here to tout for business at all. But I would like to clarify that we no longer have any affiliation with Smart Parcels.
We are not Smart Parcels. Smart Parcels is Operated by Ben Breen, and Boxby is a registered Ltd company owned by Myself, Sandra Patterson & Alistair Patterson. Registered offices in Girvan, Ayrshire, and all company and contact details available on our website.
We ceased directing any vistors over to Parcelone at the begining of December, which is when they changed their website to Smart Parcels. The service provided to parcelone/smartparcel customers was appauling, we ourselves recommended customers lodge paypal disputes to resolve uncollected parcel bookings, and for this reason we cease to have anything to do with them.
The company that we now use for Parcels is one called CCL-Logistics, who are a multi million pound turnover logistics company, who have a large back office of customer service staff, who deal very very prompty with any enquiries. The Automated booking system operates a postcode check at point of booking, and VAT invoices and all other relevant information is given at the time of booking. In short, their booking system is one of the best in the industry.
CCL also use primarily Interlink for parcel services, who are a lot more reliable than DHL, and also do not charge a supplement for the Scottish in-shore addresses (ie. Inverness & the likes). CCL process hundreds of thousands of parcel bookings every week.
As Boxby we ourselves do not operate or resell any parcel services, and never had. We only direct the parcel web traffic onto a parcel supplier. And we have chosen CCL for SOLE the reason that we know that they have the proper contracts in place with the parcel carriers, and that allows us to offer a very competitve 24 hr next day rate. (They do not do economy rates etc)
I hope that this clarifies. If anyone has any further questions or issues then please feel free to contact me. I do not want to mis-use the forum in anyway, and if the mods are happy for me to answer any boxby related questions then I will gladly do so here in public.
Kind regards
Sandra Patterson0 -
Just to update, I put a claim in on the 11th and they didn't even bother to reply or indeed refund by the 21st(today) time limit. As said, they are fine when things go right however the customer service is awful. Will not use again which is a shame as simply doing what they had said would have kept my custom.0
