BEWARE Interparcel is a middle person and therefore will pass on responsibility to the actual courier. The actual courier will then pass it back to Interparcel and you’re left with apologies but no solutions. This has happened to me twice now. Apologies and refund received but it has cost me more money to get a shipment delivered due to failure of courier Tuffnels which was booked through Interparcel. (Interparcel kept saying pick up Tue, then it was Wed and then it was Thu). As I paid for and needed parcel by Wed I was left no choice but to cancel and make alternative arrangements at an added expense (and lots of time wasted waiting and phoning). The courier Tuffnels kept saying no one at pick up address which was not true (someone wasted 2 days waiting between 9 and 6!). Interparcel just repeats what the courier tells them. Lesson - do not use Interparcel but book direct with a courier. And never use Tuffnels as they clearly tell porky pies. And no this was not a one of issue with Interparcel as I had a similar experience not that long ago.

Interparcel are a reseller of multiple courier services as is obvious. Are you confusing that once a courier service has acknowledged that a parcel is lost or damaged or they are unable to collect it that you need to submit any claim via Interparcel as your contract is with them?

I have used them for years without notable issues including the occasional claim for lost parcels.

Bare in mind that Interparcel customer service generally have to call or email the courier service themselves and then in turn wait for a response / investigation. Being polite and understanding rather than blaming them goes a long way...

And yes some couriers are utterly rubbish, but that's not within interparcel's direct control. Your experience is not likely to be any different than with the same courier directly.

If you want a reliable service pay for UPS imo. Then in the rare event that they miss a collection there are loads of drop off points.

(Although it would be an improvement if interparcel had a policy to say give you a 20% discount code for next order when there are events like multiple missed collections as that is frustrating. I expect they loose quite a few customers over issues like yours where people feel that there is no recompense..
    Interparcel? )

  • Just had a parcel returned with no attempt to deliver at actual address and Interparcel refuse to refund. Their terms state that they do not guarantee actually delivering your parcel, and if they return it to you that constitutes fulfilling their contract to deliver. Avoid, obviously, but, how is this legal?

Interparcel is my go to site for sending within the UK but solely for printing off and then dropping at the post office for Parcel Force collection. Once its collected its just like any other parcel in the chain so if returned isn't because of Interparcel, although I've never had this happen. I chose drop and go because I've had a couple of collections arranged that were not collected on the day arranged and this is where problems can occur no matter which company you decide to select on their website.
  • I used DHL via Interparcel and it took them 3 days to even collect the parcel!

So be VERY wary if you are relying on them to collect your package, as apparently most couriers dont guarentee a collection time, ONLY delivery.

I won't be using Interparcel again, the customers services people didn't seem very bothered I'd been house bound for 3 full days. I'll use good old Royal mail next time.

    AVOID!

I use interparcel on a daily basis and they've been excellent.

Stick with their UPS service and you will have no worries.

Hhhmmm, I've used Interparcel probably 60 times or more over the last few years, and I've never had a problem, AND on the few occasions that I've needed to speak to their customer services people I've found them to be extremely helpful ...

    That's exactly what I've found.

I honestly could not think of a better parcel company.
I'm still waiting for my package from Interparcel. I don't know why the seller went with them... all you need to do is read the overall consensus of online reviews to see this is NOT the courier to go with. The parcel was sent tracked, and after seeing the message 'waiting to be dropped off' for a fortnight after they'd promised it would be delivered, both I and the seller have been trying to find out what's gone wrong. We've both been told the same thing several times, which is that they'd look into it and someone would email us within 48 hours. Neither of us have received a single email, it's just their way of getting you off their backs. I also tried their online chat service, and Georgia spoke to me using entirely automated responses bar 1 message, and even took ages to respond then! Read the reviews on other sites, there are lots of folks that have lost very expensive parcels through Interparcel and had to take them to court to get compensated. There are much more reliable services out there. Not worth the the gamble.

Read the reviews on any large parcel company and you will find this.  There are always going to be problems which are not well resolved whoever you send with.
