Placed an order on the 18th of April, today is 25 of April, parcel is still not collected. Missed collection on the 22nd as was at work. (really stupid that it is not possible to book some specific time and you have to stay at home/office from 9 till 5 to make sure that they come and collect it.). Booked another collection on the 23rd from my neighbours address, but still driver tried to collect it from my address (really bad organised company, not capable to inform their drivers where to collect items from). Nobody even came on Thursday and today. Fed up with 'excellent' service, called and cancelled order. Will use different company, this one is absolutely useless... Just waisted my time.
This is interparcel spamming the board ! Look 'members' with only one post to defend interparcel.

"I am writing with regards to the above order, your shipment going to Dave Nobody in the Canary Islands.
This order has come to our attention as the shipment has attracted extra costs as a result of the parcel being mis-declared.
At the time of booking you declared your shipment to be 27 x 20 x 6 cm but the carrier has checked weighed and measured this parcel and the dimensions were 65 x 62 x 34 cm.
The total amount outstanding is £94.50 for which we require immediate payment. Should payment be made within seven days we will reduce the payment by 10% and will accept a payment of £85.05.
If you have a valid reason why you believe you are not liable for this debt then it is essential that you contact our Revenue Protection department by return email straight away to discuss this matter.
We regret that we are unable to discuss this matter over the phone and can only take disputes in writing.
Kind regards"
The parcel I sent *was* 27 x 20 x 6 - it was just something small in a bubble envelope...
I really can't see how my envelope could have been mistaken for a giant box, but Interparcel will not even discuss it.
I phoned UPS to get an explanation, but didn't really get very far.
I've always rated Interparcel/UPS and have been using them for years, but I don't really appreciate someone trying to cheat me out of almost £100.
You have been warned of how they operate...

Dave, it looks like Interparcel are in the same sci fi /alternative world as ebay- the laws of physics and reasoning just work differently for them.
I hate the fact that if something goes wrong you can't just pick up the phone and talk to a human being anymore and sort it out- instead it all has to be conducted through a series of emails which no doubt will be answered (but not understood) by robots.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I am contacting you with regards to the above reference.
We are disappointed to discover that this debt is still outstanding.
Please find attached a final letter that has also been sent to you via Royal Mail.
Please be advised that you are no longer permitted to use our services until this debt has been settled.
We regret that we are unable to discuss this matter over the phone and can only take disputes in writing.
Kind regards,
NOTICE OF INTENDED COURT PROCEEDINGS
Dear Handsome Dave
We are disappointed to discover that our records show the balance of £94.50 is still outstanding.
This is your final opportunity to settle this balance before we proceed with legal action to recover
this debt.
Should payment not be received within seven days, this matter will be forwarded to our solicitors
without further reference to you.
If we are forced to issue proceedings against you then we will be claiming interest, court fees and
solicitors costs on top of the amount outstanding.
We trust the above will not be necessary and that we will receive payment by Wednesday 29th
October.
Yours Sincerely,
Revenue Protection Department

Do not use Interparcel, they are simply an intermediary, they do not deliver your parcel themselves.
Therefore they have no control on the tracking system and no control and responsibility and care to deliver your precious parcels safe and in time.
To add to all this in their Terms and Conditions they take no responsibility in case something goes wrong (read carefully).
I sent a laptop (allowed item) with Interparcel, from London to Birmingham, insured (unfortunately for a lower value as their insurance is extremely expensive), next day delivery, properly sealed and marked (both my and the destination addresses were written on the parcel itself, so there was no label to loose), a big parcel.
Notwithstanding all this the big parcel was 'lost' (can you believe it?) and Interparcel walked away with all this just saying 'we are very sorry for the inconvenience it has caused'. I had to take the loss.
Beware before using them, you are giving them a free lunch every time you send something valuable.
And if you add the Insurance you will find that you end up paying more than with reputable companies that take responsibility for their own faults.0 -
Interparcel terms and conditions exempts them from losses or damages to your parcel, please read carefully.
InterParcel is like the banks that caused the credit crisis with the mortgages, take the lucrative profits of the business and unload the losses on the customers.
InterParcel has no control of the tracking, no control of how efficient and responsible are the delivery people because they are just an intermediary, so they don’t care.
And the delivery people they don’t have any care either because they are not accountable for the losses.
Is this a way to run a reputable business? We are in the UK, no in Nigeria. Where are the Regulatory Bodies?
Somebody stops InterParcel. They are not a reputable company0 -
I used Interparcel to send an item which they managed to damage, make five missed return deliveries and then eventually lost. So I took them to court, they employed solicitors who called me an embarrassment, frivolous and a mischief maker.
They also threatened to claim their 'reasonable' legal fees back if I didn't achieve judgment.
At the hearing, the judge called the companies handling of this consignment an embarrassment and passed judgment against them. They paid me £224 and their legal team £460 and it's another CCJ against interparcel.
I don't think they really care when their extremely poor service, using the delightful Citylink affects people.
Interparcel, are a disgraceful company.0 -
DO NOT use interparcel, they are not fit for purpose.
There was a 'sorry we missed you' card left in my post box yesterday. IT wasn't filled out with any details or ticks in the boxes what so ever, just the consignment number.
The delivery man had NOT knocked on my door. Just put it through my outside post box. When I called to complain they said that he had had 'trouble finding the door'. ?? Just knock on the door. The person on the phone said that he would be coming back TODAY (yesterday). I asked her whether she was sure, and she said 'yes' he is definitely coming back.
So I waited in for 5 hours and he never came. I phoned up and they said that he was never coming back, and had been to my house twice! There was NO knock at the door. And they claimed that TnT had NOT told me they were coming back on the same day. THEY HAD.
They then told me that they would be out delivering again tomorrow (Today). So whilst I was waiting in I decided to give a call to make sure, as I had already had experience of how incompetent this service was, I thought I had better call to make sure. TnT said they knew nothing about it and for me to call interparcel!
Interparcel then tell me, 'Oh it is not coming out today'.
The service I received was DISGUSTING. I would expect to receive at least £100 for a day like yesterday, and being put through these LIES and awful service. It was inept and the second woman on the phone basically called me a liar. The driver to my area is obviously inept and I shall be telling the company I ordered from NOT to use these services again.
The woman on the phone at Interparcel wouldn't help me, wouldn't deliver today and didn't care at all. It is unbelievable.
TnT said it was your fault, Interparcel said it was theirs, whilst at the same time you get paid and don't even an effort at all to please the customer. Disgusting.

If you are going to start claiming your time is worth £100 etc ect, why did you use the cheapest service in the first place. Just call UPS, and book their most expensive one?Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. never send a parcel with this company. they let me down with 4 days waiting at the busiest time of year since 15th of Dec and no collection made on all 4 bookings. the only answer they provided was sorry, manifestation made for driver to pick up today, yet another failure. had to cancel at the end because these guys apparently wanted to get into Guinness records with their repeated failures to collect and deliver.0
