Interparcel any good?

Interparcel. An inadequate courier intermediary. A moronic parcel middle man. PROS: User-friendly website. CONS: Everything else! Service is not worth the pixels it's displayed on. Appalling customer support team. Inability to get accurate tracking details. Loss of parcels.. There is no reason to use them other than the fact you're lazy. Cut out the useless brokers & middle-men. Go direct to the specific courier, whoever it might be. Obviously City Link are out of the equation and Yodel nearly buckled under the pressure over the festive period. I can honestly say TNT, UPS and the good old fashioned Royal Mail still rate best from my experience.0

Tracking is down to the courier, not Interparcel. If the courier doesn't supply it, how do you expect the agent to have it?
Whilst I agree with your sentiment that one should go direct, I don't agree IP are bad. Their CS are super efficient. Have you tried them on social media?0 -
I've been using a variety of couriers on a regular basis for some years now. The only problems I've ever encountered are when I've booked through Interparcel. Had I booked my latest consignment directly with whichever courier I may have chosen, I'm quite sure I'd be in a position to track it. Simply put - Interparcel are like a brick wall between me and my consignment. Their CS are quick on the draw yes but, it's almost impossible to get any sense out of them. I will continue to post the true facts on this matter. Appalling service all round!0

As I said, better to book direct. But their CS is not "quick off the draw" they are actually very helpful. But as I didn't see much by the way of facts, just your rant, it could be they saw the same? Rant away.0 -
Interparcel have been good for me, although I have been using Myhermes more and more over the last 6 months or so but thats because of the convenience of a drop off shop round the corner (6am - 11pm).0

Yet another newbie signs up just to slag off Interparcel..........0

So, it's ok for your to rant about how good YOU THINK Interparcel and their CS team are? Perhaps you're experience has been a good one. You're lucky!
My experience has not been good at all. Am I not allowed to air my views on Interparcel's inadequate service here? Interparcel have let me down on more than enough occasions.. I wouldn't be posting here otherwise.
To reiterate - in my experience Interparcel's customer services ARE quick off the draw though sadly never in a position to answer any specific questions. It usually takes 24hrs + to get a response informing one they'll get back to you in 48hrs.. when the parcel should have already been delivered.
I've read a load of other negative posts here and elsewhere.. trust pilot!! I could expand further but I've already wasted enough of my time discussing 'where's my parcel' with interparcel.
Happy New Year!0 -

Isn't that the idea - to share user experiences? Or is to just to get ridiculed by oldies who obviously have too much time on their hands??
Either way, I hope that other readers (Not Oldie bloggers) looking for some honest advice will appreciate my cautionary words re. Interparcel.
Happy New Year too you too!0 -

Happy New Year to you too.
Welcome to the forum aka 'sad chat room'
FWIW, my post isn't a "rant". Yours on the other hand is. I would give it 6/10.0 -
Hi
I just wanted to share my opinion of Interparcel, this is only my opinion but it is based upon my experience -
I arranged to send a parcel to Sweden, I entered my email address and phone number in case of issue. I paid over £22 and thought everything was fine, I later discovered that the parcel had not been delivered. I called interparcel and was told someone would call me back.
No one called back and so I called again to chase, I was now informed that the parcel was being returned to them and that not only had I lost out on the initial charge of £22 but that I would be charged to return the item - no one could advise of the charge
I later received an email stating that I now owe them £34.80 and I quote - "Please arrange payment within the next seven days to prevent your parcel being disposed of. If your parcel is disposed of you are still liable for these return charges." So Interparcel in conjunction with UPS would like to charge me almost £60 without actually delivering my parcel to it's intended destination - in fact it will end up back where it came from.
so a few points -- Interparcel deny that they or UPS should have contacted me or left a note at the delivery point
- They feel it is just to charge me as much as they like without contacting me to return the goods
- They have charged 150% of the outbound cost (nice business if you can get some mug to pay it I guess)
- Interparcel did not return my initial call as promised - they are slow to answer emails but quick to answer Facebook - is it all a false front?
- Interparcel constantly blame UPS yet when I have asked to speak to UPS they refuse to allow me to do this while constantly fobbing me off
In my opinion the company appears to be process driven, has no regard for customer service and feels it right and just to not deliver a parcel yet charge the customer extra for the privilege
So when you send a parcel with Interparcel or UPS just think that you are actually opening yourself up to unlimited additional charges and that given the range of these charges and the additional profit that these profit greedy firms can make they will make sure they charge you as much as they can
BUYER BEWARE - DARE YOU RISK THE UNSPECIFIED AND HENCE I ASSUME POTENTIALLY UNLIMITED CHARGES FROM USING INTERPARCEL / UPS?0
