    Not allowing her to stay will say to your son more loudly than any words "I don't trust you". How is that going to make him feel?

    How old is he going to have to be before you do trust him? Are you going to do surprise visits when he goes to uni to make sure he's being a good boy?

    in my case the lack of picking up by the girls parent was laziness and boozing, many parents put their social life ahead of their kids safety

    I've missed that bit. I've read it as though it is just girlfriend who lives in another town to the rest going.

    to be fair to the OP, she hasn't been back to the thread since her sleepless night when she posted originally.

    I was thinking of the OP, her other OH, the girl's mother and the teenagers themselves. The kids fathers would be a bonus.
