Oh Wannabee, not read your diary but hope you are OK.
Well its been a mad week and I am soooo tired. DH and DS1 are out at a football presentation evening. Impulsively I offered to buy DS2 a takeaway but he got a better offer and has gone to a friends for a sleepover! So it was some left over curry out of the freezer for me and a night in sharing the sofa with the dog. Fortunately the dog isnt fussy about whats on telly so I can watch any old trash with no-one to grumble at me.
I am doing well at keeping on budget but really badly at SFDs. Just cant do it, I only spent £3.65 today but they were all things I needed to buy.
But it should be a fairly spend free weekend doing housework, gardening and other boring stuff.
Oh and chips. Mmmm, could just eat some now - will make do with a value chocolate digestive and a cup of tea!!! Living dangerously eh?0 -
Awol for a day as I finally fell asleep about midday on Thursday and woke up to a missed call from work, asking me to work that night which I did. I am supposed to be on annual leave. However, they will still pay me for my holidays. It looks possible I will be working at the weekend, which I want to do, but it looks like they may pair me up with silly and ungrateful woman. Obviously at some point I will have to work with her again, but I am still reeling from Tuesday morning's outburst from her, and just want a lengthy break from her. She is the sort of person that if we work together about 4am in the morning she will want to dissect the incident and that is not really my style. I was right and she was wrong end of!
His missus Happy belated birthday to you, I posted on the 6th before I knew it was your birthday. I do love a June birthday and always have done, especially birthdays that end in even numbers, say after the 6th but before the 10th. In unrelated news I will be spending my treat money later on today. I have researched what I want food wise, although I can't find any Ben & Jerry's on special offer drats! I don't want an alternative Haagen Das has no depth of flavour and Carte d'or is basically water! I also want some cheap ear phones as my right ear doesn't work in my current ear phones. It is driving me crazy as I can't listen to any relaxing binaural stuff on you tube, which is probably why I am awake at this time again.
LoveaDove, NSK and Kamachilovething, thanks for your positive comments regarding my QVC wobble, I mean show of strength. It was so tempting the items were cheap and would have only made me £20 odd overdrawn this month. However, the whole point of this challenge is I don't want to be even a penny overdrawn, and if I keep going the way I am I won't be.

NSK, I'm glad you have got your crown sorted, and hope you enjoyed the chips.
Lotti379, well done on the PAD, I've never really got that. I'm the sort that has to confirm my budget on pay day and immediately pay out any excess on debts so I am not tempted. If I had come in under budget for weekly food I would have added it to the following week and treated myself. You are very disciplined. Also, jealous of the pool. I went to see a clairvoyant once and she picked up that I really liked swimming and that if I did it more it would pick up my mood, of all the things to say it was the last thing I was expecting.
Karmachilovething, you are truly hardcore eating things your taste buds are rejecting in order to save money. As people can tell food is my one enjoyment on this debt-busting journey as the Americans would say 'Props' to you.
Thriftylass Aren't PPI refunds most welcome and timely.
I did a bit of swagbucks today and have finally reached a payout on a survey site( I only had to do two more surveys but they took so long I began losing the will to live), it's only £10 but it all helps and I can finally say good bye to that survey site. Also, I got my pay rise but I haven't seen the paperwork yet so not sure when it starts, but all good.
Ok signing off now, not sure whether to watch the last 30 minutes of The Crystal Maze on Challenge tv or watch old style Columbo on ITV+1. No contest Columbo wins I love seeing the smug murderer, get increasingly annoyed with the detective and get their comeuppance in the end.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -
Morning all.
Siggy updated - there's nowhere in there that covers the silly amount I've spent on takeaway food this week. Suffice to say it's going to be another tight end to the month.
My SFD's have taken a hit too, which is a shame. Funny how a wobbly week will knock you so far off course.
Today will be a low spend day. I owe my son a toy sword after I tripped over his other one and broke it. He's learned now why I ask him never to leave his toys lying around, but I promised him a new one (£1.29 at BM bargains). I'm off to my mam's house this morning, and then this afternoon will depend on if hubby has decided if he's ready to talk or not. If not, I will make sure me and the kids are out and about for the rest of the day. We have some old bread so can go to the park and feed the ducks.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Morning Spartans! Happy Weekend!
Wannable_in_credit Hope you are ok! *Squish*
Another SFD for me yesterday- work, gardening, and decoupaging and finishing off those coat hangers- they look lush! Shall be giving my friend her presents in a little while!
Spend day today- I pre-booked my train tickets for my return trip from Norfolk on Monday (for my family pre-planned excursion this weekend). I booked them online this morning and got them almost half-price booking them early and printing them off! I had budgeted £20 (which is what it would have cost on the day) but only came to £11.50 with booking fee! Winner! :T
Spends so far this month:
£12.15/ £50 - Food
£20.00/ £80 - Fuel
£11.50/ £50.00- Planned excursion
6/20- Spend Free Days
I'll be away until Monday, but may check-in over the next couple of days if I have signal where I'm going (fairly remote).
Have a DFW/ MSE weekend you lovely lot! :j

Jonesy88, Sean Bean loses his head in GOT Nooooooooo!!!!!! is there any point in me watching it now.
Yes, because he's really good in it even though he meets an awful end.
PS Goals going OK, not spending on books, mags or lottery and sorting out work lunches. Until the "family stuff" is sorted out, I'll have unpredictable days resolving issues and travelling.‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hello, sneaking in as not reported since Monday! only managed 1 SFD,
Tues - had a cold so bought medicine,
Wed - no brake lights on car so new bulbs bought (bulbs/fuse fine)
Thurs - Had to pay for bus as car not safe to drive with no brake lights
Friday - cycled to work to save money, forgot lunch.
Today - Car in garage and just renewed car insurance!
So in all an expensive week, I'm going to start afresh next week. Right now off to make a nice salad with whatever I can find in fridge and chill in the garden!

Hi everyone
Been a beautiful day here and we have been busy planting out all the bedding plants we have grown from seed. The garden looks fantastic and its even better because we hardly spent anything on it.
Oh and a SFD so thats a bonus! I really need to tackle the big pile of ironing but dont feel like doing it now. OH is still gardening though so I would feel really guilty if I just sat down!
DS2 is crashed out on the sofa. I dont think much sleeping went on at his sleepover. I may just try and get him into bed actually, I dont think he is going to move far this evening!
Hope things went OK Wannabee.0 -
Just checking in - as predicted a Spend Day. Pity you didn't rate Behind the Candelabra 32b3in2013 as I'm going to see it tomorrow as part of housemate's birthday plans.:undecided
Hope all is ok with everyone else (esp you Wannabee_in_credit) and you are all having a lovely weekend. I'm off to bake some birthday cupcakes!:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754
