Grocery budget: £115/£240
Fun budget: £15/£80
Holiday fund: £0/£350
ISA fund: £0/£400
Debt repayment: £22/£130
SFDs: 5/20
Hello all, just a quick log in as it's far too sunny to be sat indoors at my laptop. My debt this month has increased due to the vets visit on Friday (£50) but as I've only spent £50 on shopping this week and only have a carvery meal with bestie tomorrow night planned I've paid £22 to put my old bank account back into credit (it has a £50 free overdraft buffer)
SFD today too0 -
Another lovely day!!! We're being spoiled!!!
I had a good morning at the gym and stocked up on my weekly glut of protein-rich foods (chicken and turkey!), fruit and veg, and am trying lactose free milk to see if it agrees with me more...
I can't decide if I have a wheat or lactose allergy as I sometimes feel really bloated (OVERSHARE!!!) so going to experiment with them both. All hints and tips greatly received! I don't want to go on to soya though as I've heard it's not great for guys if you are trying to build muscle - something to do with simulating oestrogen (female hormone) which can make it difficult to gain.
Soooo... signatures updated. Should be good at least until Thur/Fri when I'll need to stock up on more milk...
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday folks!!!

Hi everyone
A sfd for me, working all this weekend so its really easy even if I do work in a SM:)
Sat outside on my laptop in the glorious sun, at a table but under the parasol cos its the only way I can see the screen:) but not going to complain, it will probably rain on my days off Tues and Weds
Had some money back from EON, apparently my account was in credit and the monthly DD isn't going up either:j I just knew all this meter reading was keeping me on the straight and narrow so on that premise Im going into my bank acc everyday to watch my OD grow and then it will put me off spending I hope, as long as the amount in OD before my pay goes in keeps on shrinking I will be a very happy bunny, cos it means that at long last I may be getting somewhere with it
Anyway going to take advantage and have a glass of something in the sun before it disappears

Good Evening one and all... I have had a treat getting to read through all your postings!
Abundant no matter how cra**y my day might be just seeing your multi-coloured signature cheers me up no end. Don't be jealous of my chipsies though - they were not satisfying at all! I am back to lentils and brown rice... so I see your sandwich and rice and raise you LENTILS!!!
MoneyMash - I am not sure what I would do to be honest.. I am a vegetarian so I woulda probably handed it in! Full or fruit and veg and it may have been another story. However there is NO excuse for knicker-pulling in full view of anyone. When in doubt - don't wear any! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
HappyBeingMe - I thought you had had enough of me... glad you are around so please check in and say HELLLOOO now and then..
**Confessions**
Due to the expenditure of £2.60 at the post office on the 1st of the month, repaying a girlfriend £1.15, ahem... 3 bottles of reduced Pepsi on friday and the chipsies (with a 40p gherkin:eek:).. my food budget now stands at £22.69..(don't shout at me Siouxsie..)..with only £27.31 left until the end of the month.
I shall not fear. I have a lot of lentils and rice left, tons of porridge oats... still loads of apples, 7 toms' a can of tinned toms etc etc.. lots left so I am not concerned... and Mumsy has supplemented my account with £10 for fruit and veg...:o:o:o
SO this week will be a simple calculation of a few yoghurts and fruit and possibly a cucumber.. since I am on a late shift tomorrow I shall be remaining on the train, heading to the Tesco's at the next stop and picking up some yellow sticker yummies...
Naughty NSK.. but Pepsi is my downfall in life.. (saddo)..

Evening everyone. I hope everyone's enjoying the weather unlike me
. I've got to the beached whale stage already and it's just too hot and sweaty for me at the moment.
Well, my spend day actually went better than expected. I managed to get a lot for my pennies.
£20 - 2 maxi dresses (not maternity so I can wear them again)
£3 - 2 t-shirts for DS
£7 - maternity coat and 2 maternity tops of fb seller.
£2.80 - remainder of food shopping (used a T@sco coupon that I happened to 'find' at the till which helped :rotfl:
£2.98 - Ice cream and cornettoes for the freezer.
£1.75 - ice cream for DH while he went on his walk.
£3.95 - birthday present for a friend's daughter from Amazon with free delivery.
The ice cream and cornettoes for the freezer are for tomorrow. DS and I are on a farm trip which our local playgroup are paying for. I know we'd both want ice cream so decided on the cheaper option for when we get home. We'll be taking a picnic so hopefully a SFD again
Kat you are very inspiring with your meal plans. It makes me think more of what we can make rather than go out and buy more food.
Right, off to update my spreadsheet and look for shorts for DS on the internet. Will try and get free delivery or free click and collect at least and then my spend day will be complete. Shouldn't have another spend day until Wednesday which will be hospital parking and having my nails done.TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
Mrs Toast - forgive me but I think I have asked this before.. when is baby Toast due? I am sure you are really uncomfortable now.. can't imagine what it's like having a little person growing inside... I think you deserve all the ice cream in the world!:T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Morning y'all....
I have no idea where the sun was for me yesterday but it never got past 12 degrees, at 3 pm I was indoors prepping lunch/dinner with the fire on in the lounge.
Ok summary for last week.
Personal care all pre booked in May but part of the budget
.....£25 waxing including £5 tip, haircut £7.50 including tip
...............................= £32.50
Entertainment .............£ 13. Cheap night
Food and drink.............£ 11.30. this includes a £3.99 bottle of wine, but got haircut £3.50 cheaper !
Seeds for the allotment £9.46
NSD = 2/30
This will be the 3rd spend day..
3rd day of the 2nd week for the budget and its a trip to the shops today..looked at meal plans for myself, I don't eat chocolate, cakes, biscuits, I don't have them in my house so if you pop in you will have a tinned ham..always in stock in case, or cheese wrap..
Had to stop myself multiple buying as is my want..so my shop will mainly consist of fresh veg...grrrrrr where is the sun for mine to grow ! Passata, tinned and fresh tomatoes a couple of loyd grosman sauces, which are half price and I think taste good...easy quick meal for when I starvin'......and some pork n chicken..for the week.
I am going to the Nec on Thursday for the pre booked trip..so going to class this as an expenses free trip..as in the rules..that right NSK...awww wow thanks...so already planning how to minimise cost...no heavy right foot and leave 30 minutes earlier might help petrol costs...
So tempted yesterday to 'do' a bottle of Sav Blanc as I was having to stay in...however got a call from son who said 'pop' round and see G/son....always a delight to see him...little boy with no volume switch when excited..so no booze...more money saved !...at this rate I will get out of the habit of a bottle a day ..perhaps every 2 days ...but think of the unemployment in Australia, N.Z, France etc if I carry on like this:rotfl:...
So I am off out later to do it...lets do it together < high fives>0 -
Hello, not really got time to read and have a student all week so might go AWOL for a while but try to catch up after work or next weekend.
