Just a quick pop-in to
OH just got a cheque from a PPI claim (from a loan years ago when he was a student and stupidly took a few loans out, which are paid off now though). He just did it himself and persevered. We now can pay his dad back (in full I think, 2k) and he's out of his overdraft (1.5k) (I think those must be the numbers as he said he is out of those debts now, he was only expecting 1k, better look at the cheque myself tonight to believe it). :j:j:j
Had to rein him in though, wanted to take us away over the weekend to celebrate. I said no, enjoy just being out of those debts and maybe buy us a burger at the city's BBQ on Sunday

Am on a training course 5 minutes from my home, so have nipped back to have lunch. I'm cruising towards a SFD - won't count it yet as I'm aware I am passing an Aldi on my way back so might pop in to see their specials.:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754

Hi everyone
Finished work at midday, went to see a friend for a cup of coffee and then home to sit out in the sun!!!!
Anyway its another SFD for me, off to make tea and carry on sitting outside, unfortunately its my weekend working, so I don't finish until 2pm, but at least I can enjoy the sunshine in the afternoon whilst it lasts

wowsers - actually went into Aldi and came out with nothing! There were so many intriguing things I'd have loved to try but Kat's mantras was ringing in my ears about do I need it (no), and have I used up what's in my cupboards (again no)?
So, today is another SFD as I'm staying in to watch my housemates Love Film DVD. I do definitely need to do some grocery shopping tomorrow and housemates birthday on Sunday so they will both be spend days, but I am pretty proud that I managed a work week without breaking out my debit card!
So happy for you Thrifty :j - it must be great to have a windfall like that and put it towards striking some debts off in full. Enjoy that Burger - I'll bet it will taste all the sweeter!
Kat - Happy Yellow Sticker Shopping! Let us know your haul:idea:LBM @1/4/13 £15,754

Hello everyone
Planned spend day today as I've done most of my food shopping. I also had a drink and cake at a cafe with my mum and sis but that came out of the entertainment budget. Bought some summer hats and a cup for DS which came out of the clothing budget. I'm quite pleased with myself as I did all the hunting around to save as much money as I can.TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -
Hi all,
Apologies for my quietness over the week. Just when I think things are getting sorted out something huge happens that knocks me all off track. I've had a terrible week - see my diary for full details as I'm just about to rant on there.
But it's all out of my system now and I'm going to pull myself together and get on doing what I had planned.
Will update my siggy and be back over the weekend.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -
